This place is a gem! We came here for lunch today and it was delicious. It's easy to find and there is a good amount of on-street parking, although I could see where it could get tricky to find a spot on a busy night. The restaurant is spacious and there's a lot of natural light coming in, giving it a cozy feel. There was an interesting range of ages there as well -- young, old and in-between, which is always nice to see. We started off with the Fresh Loving Rolls, which are spring rolls with some sort of crunchy goodness tucked in -- not sure what exactly that was but it was delightful, as was the sauce accompanying them. We then shared 2 dishes: the God's Rice Noodles, which is similar to Drunken Noodles as there's veggies and those wide noodles (except it came with a yummy warm curry sauce), and the Eden Sesame, which is vegan sesame chicken. Recently started doordashing here because of their cheaper delivery fee and I was absolutely shocked at how good the food was considering im not a vegan and "faux meat" seemed a little odd to me at first. But my absolute favorites are the nuggets! They literally taste so close to chicken nuggets but I don't feel as gross afterwards. The dipping sauce is yummy too. This is one of our favorite restaurants ever. Besides the delicious food, the owners are the kindest people ever. Joann always stops by to check in on us to see how we are enjoying the food. Both her and her husband are always very welcoming and accommodating. I believe it's her children that are sometimes the waiters and they are also very, very good at what they do. Super attentive and friendly. Couldn't ask for better service. As far as food goes, we love the chicken drumsticks, the fresh rolls, pho, the lemongrass chicken, and pretty much all the desserts!! This place totally rocked!! It was the final destination to finish a long day of driving. My mom and I were slightly nervous after reading a couple grumpy reviews, but since I'm vegan we couldn't pass up this place! NONE of the negative reviews made since when we went! Our service was polite and fast and the food was to die for!!! I ordered the seafood curry fried rice and finished every bite. They even sell vegan ingredients/snacks to take home! My family and I went to Loving Hut for dinner; 2 eat vegetarian. We enjoyed the array of different options, flavors, and format of meals. We tried the spring rolls, a couple of soup dishes, an "orange chicken" meal, and a noodle-based meal. All were delicious. The décor is minimal. The space is open, but quiet and it looks as if they have some refrigerated/frozen items to take home. Tea is served with meals. Staff is extremely accommodating. Food does take a little long to come out, and it comes out separately. A good sign that it is being made from scratch! Will return to Loving Hut or order take-out in the future! read more

Had a lovely experience here for takeout. Me and my sister got the lunch special which brings 1 entrée, white or brown rice, a spring roll, and golden wonton. For $6.50 it was a great deal. I got the sweet and sour chicken and my sister got the chicken and broccoli. She noted her portion was smaller than mine but nevertheless it was filling. We also shared a veggie soup with soy sausage (like an Italian wedding soup) The chicken was your standard soy protein. The sauce was really good and sweet but not too sour. The spring roll was larger than most and was good and crispy. The golden wonton was my favorite. It was like a curry puff with a really nice heat, but not too spicy. It was typical Chinese fare, but everything was vegan so I didn't feel like shit after. For drinks we got carrot juices. I can't remember all the ingredients but it was delicious. For dessert we opted for the Coconut cake (they were out of chocolate which I hear is bomb). I was completely satisfied by this cake. So much so I want a whole one for my next birthday. It was light and moist, not too sweet, and a good amount of coconut flakes throughout. A great way to end our lunch. I was attending a lecture at WPI and went here for dinner afterwards. The menu was very good and had many pictures of the foods, so you could get a good idea of what you were ordering. I ordered steamed dumplings, which were in various colors and flavors and very good. I also got a fake meat dish with broccoli. The broccoli was very green and fresh. The brown rice was fantastic. I love that this whole menu is vegan! The mozzarella sticks were my favorite the chicken dish I got with broccoli was lacking flavor but was still good which is why I gave four stars. The people were very nice! The food takes awhile to come out but we didn't mind the wait. The restaurant is quaint and has a love sign on the ceiling which is funny and lots of little informational posters about other vegans are on their walls. Got the summer rolls for an appetizer which were good but only came with 2 rolls, so tiny and smaller than usual summer rolls :( I would recommend getting 2 orders if there's more than 2 people at the table. For an entree I got "Gods rice noodles" very tasty! Light curry sauce. My friend got the spicy Bun Bo Hue, the broth was savory and pleasing but we had to ask for more satay on the side for more added flavor. I got the taro pudding to-go for dessert which was like a thick tapioca rice pudding with coconut shavings. 3/5 it would've been better topped off with coconut milk. Service was a little slow for an empty restaurant,... but Over all pretty good experience with vegan food here and would recommend this place for all vegans or even anyone trying out vegan food for the first time. read more

The drumsticks are to die for and everything on the menu is very tasty. They also sell frozen food (bring cash for it) so you can take home some of their delicious food. It's a totally Vegan restaurant but don't let that deter you if you're not a vegan. This place is out of this world. After eating Chinese or Asian food, I usually get that msg tiredness and feel lethargic. You won't get that eating here. After eating all the fresh ingredients, you'll notice the difference. Went here for lunch and LOVED it. Me and my dining companion both got a bowl of miso soup ($3.50 each) which was really hearty and delicious. For an entree I got the God's Noodles (approx $8) which were great and plentiful enough to make two meals. The waitress was so sweet and nice and very attentive. We attended the monthly buffet. Although fairly priced at $12, the food was difficult to enjoy as each dish was HEAVILY salted and the food was not labeled. The décor is minimal and customer service seemed to be an afterthought. There was no music or television program on in the restaurant which made dining a bit uncomfortable as one could clearly hear the conversation of the party to either side of you. Best hot and sour soup I've ever had. Favorite meal is Szchuan Eggplant with Tofu Basil Sauce. Soy "chicken" nuggets and legs are a tasty filling treat! These folks (this is the Vietnamese-English-speaking Loving Hut in Worcester; I believe that the Hamilton Street Loving Hut in Worcester speaks fluent Mandarin as well as English. These folks appeared on the Boston City Hall Plaza AND at the Boston Vegetarian Food Festival (October 30-31, 2010). The folks from the Quan Yin meditation methods who appeared at the table NEXT to them were impressively gracious and professionally expert - I recall a mechanical engineer, a social worker, and others who were all personally impressive. Oh, and their food is delicious, and they are all both deeply friendly and profoundly courteous and hard-working. Did I note that their food is impressively delicious? Yes, it is! The server was absolutely horrible. Completely disrespectful. Being new to vegan food, I ordered the House Special noodle dish. My guest and I were given tea with no eating utensils and no sugar. We had to seek out our server to take our orders as he took too long to come see us (even though there was only one party there), and didn't take the dirty plates or refill our waters. We got the living rolls, which were okay. I also ordered the flan. Neither had much flavor. My guest received her meal 10 minutes before mine, so we decided to eat it right away together since mine was taking so long. The entree I ordered was not as I expected and I did not want it after all-- I was unable to stomach it because it was so unappetizing. They gave me a very hard time when I told them I did not want it, saying I should have read the description and that the hard noodles would soften if I left them in the sauce long enough. Like I want to eat cold soggy food?! Upon receiving the bill, I was upset to see that they did not take the entree off the bill and I had to find the server at the hostess' station in the back. I told him I could not eat it and he argued with me and making me feel as if it were my fault. Customer service was awful. He disappeared into the back where I heard him and another employee yelling in another language, and he came back to finally scribble it off the bill, telling me to not get that dish and to read the description of the meals the next time I came in. My first visit to this restaurant was just after it was purchased by Loving Hut. It was the worst meal I ever had in a restaurant. Now, more than a year later, I am delighted to eat here. The menu now has the Loving Hut Asian style. I have eaten here a number of times, trying stiffer, noodle and rice dishes. The cuisine is substantially improve and now surpasses the fancier Chinese place just down the street. I have even taken my elderly father here. It is a huge contrast to his normal meat and potatoes diet. Nevertheless he enjoyed his meal and says he will be glad to return. The decor could use some sprucing including removal of some or all the TVs. I know they want to convert people, but the TVs are a huge turnoff. I have been to other outlets where the TVs are hidden and prefer it that way. The staff is quite friendly and helpful in navigating a meal of textured vegetable protein. I've been to Loving Hut several times and prior to them Quan Yin on Hamilton Street. The food is very good although it is very processed vegan food. High oil and salt use. This is not to say it's not worth the trip, just that to eat healthy you won't want to eat it too often. Our friends (not all of whom are vegan) met one Saturday sans reservation and were able to saddle up to the large table (under glowing Loving Hut neon lamp - oh la la) and order massive amounts of lip-smackingly delicious appetizers and entrees. Step one: order carrot juice, pineapple coconut smoothie, coffee coconut smoothie (each about $3.50). Step two: determine app-strategy then order massive amount of dumplings, scallion pancakes, fresh loving rolls (lettuce, yam, soy, tofu, hoisin sauce), and chunky strips (mushroom bits on sticks with a plum sauce). Ordering enough for six to share cost about $28. Step three: proceed to order lunch entree though step two achieved hunger satisfaction. The Sweet'n Sour Sensation (E58 $8 ...you know what this is - except there is an unexpectedly crisp pickled element that my taste buds were pleasantly surprised by) was calling my name, and the hubster ordered the Thai Deluxe (R45 $7.5 basically Thai inspired fried rice). Now ask yourself how this dining delight could be possible at such low prices. Sure, the decor is pretty sparse (and Supreme Master TV is playing in the background) - but WOW! We chatted and ate/drank our fill for two hours and the bill was under $95 for the six of us! DELICIOUS food (tastes so clean and absolutely satisfies any craving for "Chinese Takeout") and a GREAT price?!?! Oh.......we'll be back. read more

I was on a return trip from CT to NH last Friday night and Yelp suggested this as a good Chinese place. First, I found the food very bland and uninteresting. Second, I don't think soy hot-dogs go in Chinese food. Third, I had asked for white rice and when my meal came it was clearly brown rice. When I pointed this out to the server, he looked at me and stated that was white rice as if it was obvious and walked away. However, my biggest issue is that 24 hours after I used a particular little used debit card at this restaurant last Friday night it started getting all kinds of unauthorized hits in several other states. I rarely use this card in public and no, I do not frequent questionable websites. I have given all the pertinent information to the bank to pursue. read more

Their fake meats aren't as good as Worcester Vegetarian's, but I prefer grains and veggies to meat analogues anyway. Ever since becoming vegetarian, I've been dissatisfied with Chinese food. I believe this place was more Vietnamese, but in any case, I've never been so happy with vegetarian Asian food. My all-around-food-picky meat-eating friend even enjoyed her food.
