I'm about 4 months no meat so visiting this place was a really sweet reminder of meat. The pepper and onions were fresh and crisp. Perfect amount of cheese and veganaise. My husband and step son got the bbq burgers and before I looked up they were gone! Lol! Side note: we order take out, on the way out, another patron stopped us, and asked us if she could pray with us, and I know this isn't related but she prayed with my family, a complete stranger. Food was great, service was terrible. I had the righteous raw pasta, which was great but I had to wait 45 minutes for it- and my summer rolls, which came at the same time. I ordered raw food so it isn't as if I was planning on waiting for it to be cooked. They even brought me the wrong dish once, checked my receipt and then tried to give my dish to someone else when it FINALLY came out. The people at the table who ordered right before me and we're done eating before I ever got my food. That being said the food was good enough that I would come back. Never been to a restaurant that makes soooo little effort. I hope my experience isn't a common one for others. Paper plates? Plastic utensils? Really? This should be a food truck. It's ironic that it advertises a vegan lifestyle but doesn't care about single use plastics. The poor guy working the cash register couldn't be more unhappy with his job, it's uncomfortable to ask questions about the menu when the employee couldn't careless and rolls his eyes. Fantastic place! The Righteous Pasta is delicious! It's served cold (which is great). They'll also heat the sauce if you ask nicely and it's even better (depending on mood & taste). And you get a huge plate full. The Summer Rolls are delicious! I prefer them over a salad at this establishment. The nachos are excellent! They're simple and have the taste and consistency of movie theater type nachos but without the feeling afterward of having eaten a plate of greasy who-knows-what. One important note is that ALL LOCATIONS HAVE DIFFERENT MENUS! I visited the Addison location for lunch and it's basically a vegetarian Chinese buffet. Good food. I ordered ahead and by the time I got there I only had to wait less than 5 minutes to get my pizza. I am blown away by the flavors on this pizza. The Cilantro adds a robust taste to the many layers of flavors that is within this pie. It was hot. The crust was crispy. The Daiya cheese adds that cheesy pull everyone likes. The seitan adds that rugged texture to match the earthy taste of the mushrooms. Let me tell you I am beyond thrilled to have found this adorable hut fifteen minutes from my job. I've tried this place twice and both times I haven't been blown away. Their food isn't bland, but it doesn't feel like I'm eating at a restaurant either. The explosion of flavors which I experience at other restaurants seems to be lacking in their food. Maybe that means healthy. It sure looks and tastes healthy. But that's about it. I have tried their summer rolls, BBQ wrap with potato salad on the side, and versatile veggie pizza. Summer rolls was organic greens in a rice paper wrap. Loved it dipped with their almond hoisin sauce(delicious), tasted salad-y without it. BBQ wrap was passable, just like most vegan BBQ wraps (BBQ flavored anything is a wrong choice at vegan restaurants), and the daiya cheese on the pizza was horrendous. So the whole pizza which had a good sauce, and was loaded with fresh veggies ended up tasting bad. The customer service here is decent and people are nice. The place has a diner feel to it: eat and go, no ambience as such to speak of. I will be back, because its close to where I live. I love trying vegan restaurants in the DFW area and would absolutely say this is one of the best vegan places to eat! The vibe is nice and quiet to where I'm even comfortable going and eating alone at times. The Seitan is absolutely delectable (I can't say that about all vegan places). I suggest that you be one of the intelligent people who gives it a try and makes the decision for yourself! The seitan bbq sandwich is a must-try. It comes with a generous portion of salad (or other side of your choosing). My husband tried one of their rice dishes and he finished all of it. Very, very good. If you're looking for a fancy restaurant, this isn't your place. It's very small and is more of a cafe than a restaurant. So I have been a huge fan of The loving hut now since 2013 and the quality of the food has always been more then delicious!!!!! Stopped by yesterday to take my mother for the first time. She ordered the lemomgrass rice plate. Me my usual potabella wrap and that eat it by the gallon potato salad. My mom couldn't believe the seitan was not meat!!!! But I knew she would not be disappointed. The wait was pretty long for the people who came after me but they were jam packed and you must remeber every order is cooked to order. I had a chance to talk to a newly converted vegan and she was completley blown away! The food is well worth the wait so just order a piece of cheese cake or whatever the dessert of the day is. The Husband is a carny, I'm vegan, and Older Daughter has to eat milk/egg-free.. so I have a lot of experience cooking vegan.. and I can tell you the food here was delicious! The Husband got the Curry Fried Rice- and he (we) loved it. I'm not sure what the other reviewer was talking about with the lack of seasoning- maybe it depends on who's cooking that night? This dish was awesome, and the Husband, who eats MEGA spicy food, really enjoyed it. I got the Gigantic Wrap (minus the tortilla) with the potato salad, and again, awesome. The guy preparing it did a great job of presentation, and the ingredients were very fresh/high quality. There were so many flavors with that dish and everything was seasoned just right! Older Daughter got the pizza with no toppings, k!ds! She's picky and she liked it! For dessert (we were already stuft at this point, except for the Husband, who is a skinny Japanese bottomless pit), we shared the raw brownie. At first, we were a little WTH about it not being an actual brownie- its more like chopped walnuts held together firmly with creamy chocolate, and an agave-choc sauce on top. It was soo good! I'm sorry we doubted you, LH. We've actually come by twice before and it was closed by the time we got there! Our fault for not paying attention to the hours/days. And the menu options? I went to get take out pho on my lunch break to take a perscription. I put it on the floor and drove. It didn't tip over at all. When I areived at work I realized the lid hadn't been properly placed so all of the liquid has sloshed over the top. None was left in the bowl. And now my car smells like pee. The summer rolls were killer good with the almond dipoing sauce. Simple perfection. The wrap I got had portabello mushrooms and seitan in it. Huge and very good. I chose a sald as my side. I didn't ask about the dressing so I wasn't pleased with the italian like dressing they automatically put on it. Next time I will. First of all, this was our second time to a Loving Hut. Loving Hut is a vegan chain around the world. We first tried them in Chicago and loved it. Yet every menu is different, depending on the location. We were so excited to know a vegan restaurant was coming to Arlington. Since it opened, which was around last Christmas (Dec 2010) we've probably been 10-15 times. The place is super clean, as another reviewer pointed out, and quaint. There are three waiters, that I know of, two girls and a guy. The guy knows us pretty well and is normally pretty spot on in timing and the like. The girls, not so much. They are slow and rather shy, especially the youngest. When we first went I'd probably have given them five stars. I'm giving Loving Hut three now (though I think is a good number) for a few reasons. One, the staff has good customer service but not the best. Two, the menu is a bit limited. Three, they are more animal conscious and not health conscious. I was hoping for both focuses. I got in a discussion with one of the workers about GMOs. The restaurant claims that some of the items are organic but they did not know what GMOs are. That kind of bothered me. So, we for those reasons, as much as we first loved it, we decided we aren't going back. read more

I grew up an omnivore in Arlington, TX, and I always thought going vegan was some weird, restrictive and unpalatable diet that celebrities liked because they had too much time and money on their hands. Fast forward to today, I'm now a 25 year old ethical vegan who lives in Austin, TX, and couldn't be happier about it. I recently came home to Arlington to celebrate my grandfather's birthday, and imagine my shock when I found a fully vegan restaurant in Arlington!! I had to try it, and I wasn't disappointed. Let's just talk about this wonderful place for a second... IT'S DELICIOUS. I have gone to this glorious restaurant several times, and I have yet to be disappointed. I always start with the with the Summer Rolls! They come in a pair and are served with this creamy almond dipping sauce. Plus there is avocado on the inside, and anything with avocado makes me a happy camper. Then I get their Soba Noodles (that comes with carrots, broccoli, onions, sesame seeds/oil and... you guessed it... AVOCADO)! You can get it as spicy as you want (even though I get it super mild). The whole meal is accompanied by my favorite beverage of all time. Blue Sky Ginger Ale! Loving Hut's food fills you up and leaves you satisfied with their big portions and variety of vegetarian/vegan options! Their desserts are not listed on their website, but they're incredible.
