Excellent spot in Arlington for vegetarian and vegan dishes. Most of the dishes are Asian such as rice and noodle dishes but there are other options like hamburgers and wraps as well. Let me begin by saying this places is the only fully vegan place in Arlington, already making it a gem. The food is pretty good, my favorite being the seitan sandwiches, the pho and the ocean delight. I'm not a big fan of the rice platters myself, but they're good too. The desserts are pretty good though, which pretty much only include the cakes and the carrot muffins. The ube cake is my favorite of them all! There is only one person at the register and they serve everyone kindly. They asked me if I was vegan since I'm a regular and said yes, asked them back and they said they've been vegan for 20 years! In my personal experience I have a tough time with accents, so if you do too make sure you listen carefully and talk to them clearly. Finally, the place is not fancy at all, the chairs are also not very comfortable. Definitely a place to just come eat and leave, I don't feel like it has those "hangout" vibes to it. It's small and quiet and peaceful, though, which I love when I just want to have a vegan meal in a quiet atmosphere. "Yeeeeeeessssss!!!!" This is literally what I said as soon as I took my first bite of the "nacho cheese" at Loving Hut. So. Friggin. Good. You would never know that you are eating vegan nachos. They have definitely perfected their homemade cheese. We also had the spring rolls (delicious, golden & crispy!) and hubs got the Lost Island Claypot (really good, too!). Every thing was fresh and cooked to order. The establishment is fairly small and got crowded pretty quickly and they could definitely work on their food presentation (food served on paper plates), but the customer service was pretty good. They also have a sign on the door that basically says after 3pm (in the summer) it gets too hot to eat inside the restaurant so you're better off ordering to-go. (um..ok..thanks?) Honestly, I didn't care about the paper plates and cups or the sign because I was too busy woofing down the awesome food! Although Loving Hut could definitely work on their "feng shui", the food speaks for itself. We will be regulars here! read more

LH I fell in love with them when I tried a slice of pizza, so my dine in expectations I thought would be amazing. Place was small but clean, customer service was soso alot of the menu items were unavailable but there were other dishes to choose from(- _-). It was all good though I just ordered some spring rolls for appetizer and a curry rice dish as my main course, I received the spring rolls pretty quick and they were hot and delicious. The main course meals came out separate which I disliked because by the time I got my food my bf already had finished the soup and main dish so I was disappointed in that we did not get our food together or close to receiving them at the same time. We didn't miss the meat! I've been to a few Vegan restaurants and although some were good, I still felt like I was compromising. I didn't feel that way with Loving Hut. I was also pleasantly surprised by the affordability. We started with Crispy Strips - fried strips of seitan which tasted like Chicken Fries. A tender bite with a nice crispness. I then had the BBQ Wrap, which was again seitan strips along with Lettuce, Tomato, Avocado and BBQ Sauce in a Whole Wheat Wrap and I pleased wit the illusion of BBQ Chicken. I also got to sample the Chili Wrap and the Soba Noodles - Buckwheat Noodles with Fresh Vegetables and Sesame Oil. The Soba Noodles is likely what I will get on my next visit. Loving Hut, I believe, is one of the largest vegan restaurant chains with over 140 locations. I've visited several of their locations thought the US. Usually, I order stir fry or wrap. On this visit, I had my sights on a pizza since I planned to watch game one of the World Series while on a work trip. For this Pizza order, I knew that it would have to be take-out. My plan so to phone ahead and place the order. But when I tried to call them, it didn't connect and instead, I heard a message that "the magic jack user you're trying to reach is not available." This was surprising and frustrating since I didn't know Magic Jack was still a thing and I really didn't want to wait for them to make the pizza. I had no choice and had to place the order in person. The pizza I ordered was the Seitan Central. I really like seitan and this pizza had seitan in three different styles: smoked, "ham" and ground. The food is ok. Nothing like the Loving Huts that I ate at in CA. The food is pretty bland. I have had microwavable Amy's and Sweet Earth meals with more flavor. We usually end up here because one of the kids have a game at a nearby sports park, and this is one of the few vegan options that we have in the area. This is not a place that I would drive to just to come there. The person at the register is never very welcoming or gives a good greeting when you enter or approach the counter, especially to say there's never really a lot of people in there when we come. Half the time we are the only ones in there. We will definitely check out the Indian place a few doors down the next time we are in the area. I work in the area and was looking for some healthy options. This place shows up immediately each time I search so I decided to give it a try. I am not a vegan but wanted to try something new. I called for a take out order at 11:46 am. I was told it would be about 20-25 mins. I arrived at 12:05, food was not ready until 12:30. Service was lacking but I could tell the young gentleman at the counter was doing his best. There was a couple hangry ladies that were upset about their order taking over 30 mins. They had a very large order. The gentleman gave them some options and it was almost as if they refused to listen to him and just continued to give him a hard time. Thankfully their food eventually came out before mine. So how was the food? EXCELLENT. I ordered the crispy strips and portabella wrap. The only thing I'd do differently is order way in advance and ask for it to be ready by a certain time. Loving Hut has definitely become a Vegan go-to! It helps that I live close to one. It's a great place to take my vegan, vegetarian or super health conscious friends visiting from out of town. My favorites include the BBQ wrap (made with the good kind of seitan strips) and the portabella wrap. The chili wrap might be good too. I can also highly recommend the BBQ burger. The BBQ wrap is basically the burger just in a wrap so you can't really go wrong with either one. I always get the summer rolls as my starter or even just for a light dinner on my way home. I just request they hold the jicama and cucumber. That dipping sauce that comes with it is amaze-balls. Most entrees come with a side choice: cole slaw, spring salad or potato salad. I always get the spring salad or cole slaw. The fried rice, vegan nachos & crispy strips are also good. I can't say that I've ever tried their vegan pizza. At one point they tried to convert the entire menu to be a vegan pizzeria but maybe they listened for the complaints. I was so happy the day I learned that they brought back the original menu! Thanks for listening to the people guys! (or whatever you did to make it happen) The restaurant isn't big. It's very basic but clean. They also serve your food in paper plates. So it's nothing fancy but doesn't necessarily leave you wanting more. It just is what it is and kinda works that way. There was one occasion where we were waiting a long time for our dinner. Unless dining in, I will typically call ahead for pick up. That's what I do about 80% of the time. The only two downsides are: 1) they're closed on Sunday & Mondays 2) the customer service could be much better. read more

I tried the BLT and the Lemongrass rice with chicken the first time I went back, it was delicious! It was a lot, so I had it for 3 meals. I also tried the smoky fried rice and the portabella wrap they were delicious also. This one has a wide variety from soups, salads, and vegetarian burgers to pizza, chili, wraps, and an array of rice bowls. It's a smaller setting but one large group could possibly fit. Vegan places are pretty scarce in the DFW area, so whenever I see one I try it out. Today, I drove a little bit out of my way to try Loving Hut. I'm not sure that I'll be in this area too often, but after my experience today, I will definitely keep this as an option! It's located in a strip mall a couple of blocks away from I-20, it's not hard to find at all. Inside, the dining area isn't that large, but it is nice and everything is white (looks real clean and sterile). I was starving, so I grabbed up a menu and began to browse. My first choice was the crispy strips, but they were out of them. :( I chose the summer rolls (which was basically a veggie spring roll without the noodles) to start off with, the Umami Universe Rice Claypot, and a Thai tea to wash it all down. Later on I patted myself on the back, because I made some great choices! The summer rolls were a nice size and were very fresh. Nice crispy lettuce, crunchy cucumbers, carrots, and jicama were wrapped up tight. Very refreshing and very fresh tasting. The almond hoisin sauce was good, but a little runny in my opinion for a spring roll sauce. I kind of like my sauce thicker so it will stick to the roll when you dip it in. Next came the main entree. The claypot holds a lot of food! It may not look like it when you get it, but when you open the top and start to dig in, you'll see that it holds a lot. It was great! It tasted just like veggie fried rice, but without the eggs and grease. There was virtually no grease at all, but the flavor was still there! The vermicelli added a nice chewy texture. This is definitely a good option. I was kind of upset at my choice when I finished and browsed the rest of the menu. There are so many great options and I started to feel that I could have gotten a similar item to mine in most Chinese restaurants. Next time I will definitely get one of the sandwiches or wraps. The Thai tea was a nice beverage to cap off my meal. Nice, sweet, cold and refreshing! A great beverage to wash down a lot of sriracha! Definitely try this place out if you're in the area! There aren't too many Vegan spots to try out, so whenever you see one...support it!!! read more

I am very excited to have a new vegan restaurant in town. To start, the restaurant is very pretty and clean and the staff was super friendly. They do have a nice variety of choices, in fact I would say about half of them were raw, which is hard to find in the DFW. We started with the zucchini raspberry rolls in nutty sauce and they were pretty delicious, a very interesting mix of flavors. I ordered the Rice and Seitan in pinto beans sauce and it was incredible! The plate had A LOT of food and I ate it all, I couldn't waste any of that seitan goodness. My husband had the Vegan Chili dog and it was very good too, it came with a side of potato salad. We were too stuffed to have any desert, but I am looking forward to those carrot cake and blueberry muffins =) I will definitely go back for more! read more

I was bummed out because I thought all the cool vegan places were out in Fort Worth and Dallas...then I found this place! I cannot tell you more how glad I am to have found it too. The place is filled with awesome vibes and all sorts of information on being vegan on the walls. The employees were so kind, and sat there and answered our many (newbie) vegan questions. The food was DELICIOUS. We tried the seitan crispy strips, spring rolls, soba noodles, BLT, baguette charm and the smoothies. NONE of it was ANYWHERE close to disappointing. I'm a gluten free vegan so it is pretty hard to find food out and about. This loving hut has amazing food my favorites being cosmic fusion clay pot! I get this legit every time. My husband who is vegan but not gluten free loves the portabella wrap although a bit overpriced it's a convenience to eat semi healthy so it's a small price to pay.
