Stopped in to get a to go salad for lunch before going in to work. They had just opened at 11 AM and one thing that I love is a restaurant that has just opened. The food is fresh and attitudes have not gotten bad yet! LOL! The service was awesome and the young ladies were nice and attentive. I love love love Salata! But you likely know this since I have more visits to Salata than I have elsewhere I'm sure. I will get a small salad if I had lunch or a large one it I skipped but breakfast and lunch! The greens are always fresh, lovely crisp salad. I request Salata mix greens and kale. Kale greens does require a massage to make them more palatable, in my opinion. I add 6-7 more vegetables, chick peas, jalapeños, and extra cilantro is a must, with pineapple, grapes, and walnuts, no protein. Splash of pomegranate vinaigrette and ginger lime vinaigrette dressing too. Love the zing from this combination. The app is awesome for collecting points. I Visit weekly or have hubby get my salad if I'm not in the area. Best salad ever read more

I love going to this place when I am in the mood for a salad. There are so many leafy green, veggie options along with multiple meat (and non meat) options. It is kinda pricey so, be prepared. They have soups as well and I think you can make a wrap out of the salad bar ingredients as well. There are croissants that are tasty, and don't forget the cookies at checkout. lol limited parking at times with a busy restaurant next door. clean dining area I think they were going to have a drive thru at some point in this location but, they dont have a drive thru. Everything from different base options, plenty of veggies, and protein (last was pretty pricey imo, hence the star off). Stopped by Salata to grab a bite for dinner rather than succumb to fast food cravings. Crisp inviting decor with a plethora of options. I got a veggie salad with a really flavorful herbed vinaigrette that I enjoyed! I opted out of the proteins because I saw an extra $3 for most of the proteins which were primarily different chicken flavors, which seemed a little high. Let me start by saying that Salata is our favorite place. But today we decided to go to the one in Grand Prairie since the one in Las Colinas is closed on Sundays. Boy was it a bad experience, the green peas were really pale & they looked as if they were bad, I had to ask the girl if she had any fresh ones because I didn't want that on my salad & yes, she had a fresh batch. As we proceeded with our selection, they had no beats & no ranch, i understand they ran out, but please have the courtesy to notify the customer ahead of time, that would give the customer the option to proceed with their order, or just go somewhere else. So I said fine, my preference is two ranch & one balsamic vinaigrette, but since I had no option I went with balsamic vinaigrette only, not too happy with the flavor but I proceeded to eat, it definitely had no flavor without the ranch, so I didn't enjoy my salad at all. So I went to the front and asked for a to go container, the girl gives me a small container, I told her it was too small for my large salad, she proceeded to hand out a second small container, I asked her for the large container & she refused telling me I couldn't get the large container. I've never experienced such a terrible service, not sure if they were just low on everything, but no people skills either, not a great experience at all. We always go to the one on MacArthur in Las Colinas, they are so sweet & friendly including management, they are a good example of great customer service. Not returning to this location!!! read more

Yay, Salata is finally in Grand Prairie! Welcome to the neighborhood! After watching Salata finally go up, it's been great being able to drop in for lunch with a friend or for a salad to take home after a long week of work. Like any other Salata location, this Salata has the same set up of a build your own salad bar but your salad is prepared by a Salata employee. You have your choice of different lettuces (I usually opt for the romaine) and then a vast array of veggies, cheeses, and meats to go on top. The meat is an additional $3-4, depending on which meat you select. The final stop in the salad bar before the register is at the soups. I've not tried any of the soups but maybe one day I'll give one a try and update on how they are. Besides the salads, wraps, and soups, Salata also has cookies and teas/other drinks. This location is surprisingly never busy. I'm not sure if that's a GP thing and people aren't into salads here or if the price point is too high. I personally enjoy Salata and their salads. The employees are always friendly and I haven't had a bad experience here. I will be a frequent customer as long as I am a resident of the area. read more

I'm a regular customer because I enjoy healthier choices when I decide to eat out. The food is tasty, the restaurant has a variety of choices from veggies to fruits, sauces, proteins, and a complimentary croissant or pita chips. Price is fair since everything has gone up. HOWEVER, customer service is really BAD. It makes me not want to stop there to get food just to avoid bad service. There's the option of ordering online and picking up through the drive-thru which is something I'm considering just so I don't have to go in. SO if you are having a BAD DAY!! Try going somewhere else you may leave feeling worse since their customer service is terrible. Never get greeted with a smile, don't feel welcome, seems they are bothered when you ask for something. Management great customer service means customer loyalty hence higher revenue for the company. Maybe implementing a strategy to boost employee morale and increase customer satisfaction will make a huge difference at this location. read more

I'll give the food five stars but the service I got from one of the employees was horrible she seems like she's didn't want to work there, she kept huffing at the fact that there was a line of course it's dinner time there is no need to act like that towards customers it ruined the experience. She was bothered at the fact that I asked for Pita chips and simply didn't go and check and she didn't offer a croissant and I asked she got bothered by it as well. Everyone else was nice. Just had a wrap that consisted of Romain hearts lettuce, Asian bbq chicken, chipotle southwest dressing, bacon, watermelon, pineapple, strawberries, feta cheese, black beans, carrots, corn and it was all wrapped in a Texas BBQ tortilla! It was AMAZING! and a great portion of food and a drink for like $10. Wife and I stopped here after a trip to IKEA. We were very impressed with the "chipotle" style ordering! Everything I wanted on my salad I got in good quantity. I had to say no to some veggies I love because I was already very diverse in what was put on. I will be returning to try different combinations. I'd agree that the protein add-ins were a little pricey, but my smoked turkey and my wife's grilled chicken were very flavorful and added a lot to the salad! Lots and lots of options! We arrived there after lunch rush and our waitress was welcoming. El Limeno is bright and comfortable with easy to read menus and table service. It was a very authentic experience including the need to be a little patient with language comprehension of all our questions. We started with an order of 3 Salvadoran Chicken tamales and an order of Fried Plaintains. The tamals were brought out "unwrapped" but on a banana leaf square. I don't know how they were steamed. The masa was good but didn't taste overtly of banana leaves. The chicken was in large tender chunks and the potatoes were big tender pieces. I love Latin tamals and these were a 4/5. Unfortunately, I wanted salsa with mine and had asked for it earlier. We waited while another group that came after us was served all their food before I could remind her. They do not serve complimentary chips and salsa, which I have seen before in other restaurants but we had only hot sauce on the table. Not my thing. She was apologetic and we ended up with lots of little cups of red and green salsa. The fried plantains were definitely fried until crispy and just a little too dry for me, the sweet carmelized Maduro fan. The crema was a nice touch, though. Fried as advertised a 4/5. My husband ordered the El Limeno Plate. A combo fajita plate basically, it came rockin' and rollin' on a fajita skillet. The side plate was overflowing with rice and beans, a big salad with ranch dressing and two salsas, avocado slices and lime with two homemade tortillas. I knew that I wanted pupusas. They have 10 authentic varieties of pupusa here. They are listed in Spanish, but easily Googled if need be. With our waitress' help, I chose Queso and Jalapeño, Queso and Zucchini and Mixta - pork, cheese and bean - as a plate with rice and beans and a slaw. These pupusas are huge! Just look at my photo! They come out hot, too hot to handle and so I used a knife and fork to eat them with. Three were also too many to order. Seriously. You need a really big appetite. The batter is truly delicious and the cheese is yummy. I recommend getting a meat option for additional flavor. The Zucchini was tasty, the jalapeños were spicy and I enjoyed that flavor the most, otherwise it's a lot of cheese. Their scrumptious beans did make the cheesy ones fuller in flavor. Individual pupusa are $2.99 and a bargain. The slaw was vinegary and cut through that cheesy richness. Cold and crunchy, it also had some darn spicy sliced jalapeños in it. Look out for those! My husband's Salvadoran platter was also a large portion for $17.99. We actually took the platter home. He ate all the delicious rice and beans and salad and that combined with a tamal was a lot of food. I took nearly all of my pupusas home and half the tamals. You will not leave here hungry! There is plenty of strip parking and easy access to the restaurant. We had a good time. ¡Buen provecho!
