This place is gross. DO NOT go there. It's the closest place to the condo and it was late so we couldn't get to Cupid's Treasure, the Pleasure Chest OR Early to Bed. We just wanted some water-based glycerin-free lubricant. (Glycerin can cause yeast infections, beware!) I have been a repeat customer of Erotic for years. The location is halfway between Halsted Street and the United Center on Randolph next to the new and very sheek Alhambra Palace Restaurant (which I hear sucks by the way). When you walk through the non-transparent door you are immediately asked to pay a $1.00 browsing fee which will be credited to your purchase if you do indeed buy something. I have never actually paid the $1.00 because I have always been in the company of a lady (I'm so classy!). They encourage kinky couples because a couple that plays together, stays together. The staff is helpful, coed, and not too nosy. I often wondered what kind of person could take a job in a smut hut but these people look like the same type that you would see heading downtown on the train for work in the morning. The clientele is mixed; women, men, gay, strait. I was there once where minus the guy at the counter, I was the only guy in the place, all woman shopping. My only real grievance is the video booths to the side. This is a creepy feature as you will notice someone shady come in real quick, ask for like $10.00 in quarters and dip off into the side room never to be seen again.. But now they are called "lovers Playground" (some lame attempt to copy Lovers Lane) and they are not even worth your time (unless you are looking to throw some bachelorette party and need penis -shaped candy).
