Magdalena is an artist, without the sense of entitlement that can accompany some photographers. She was firmly in control of my shoot, directing my posing while working in conjunction with my intuitions at the same time! Does that sound like the fantasy version of a photographer who's about to see you in your skivvies? That perfectly balanced bedside manner (for lack of a better term) is what made shooting with her such a transcendentally empowering experience. I arrived at 9 am (she uses natural light and prefers to shoot early, who can argue with that?) with a trio of outfits and my hair tousled in that just got out of bed sorta way- because I had- and a minimal amount of makeup. I don't regret doing my own make up at all! This woman captured me at my most beautiful, and I think it has something to do with deciding to do the shoot with minimal fussing. I was a little worried about it at first because I made the decision based on money, but once I got the proofs I knew that I had made the right choice. Her loft is in the west loop and she does a wonderful job juxtaposing the sensual nature of a woman's body with the industrial energy of the timber loft's exposed brick and original wood flooring. A beam of light streamed in through the window, she artfully arranged me on the floor, stepped back, and my inner model came alive in front of her lens. Her prices are very reasonable, and she is not pushy in terms of purchasing extra items. I will certainly shoot with her again... that's how much I loved it. I am currently running a cost/benefit analysis on displaying an intimate photograph of myself in my living room.... So, yeah, book her. read more

I chose Magdalena for my boudoir shoot because I liked that her photography style was classy, moody, artistic and sensual. When I reached out to Magdalena to coordinate my session, she was incredibly responsive and quick to respond to email. I appreciated her responsiveness because I wanted to make sure I was booking somebody who was dependable and professional. When I arrived to my photoshoot, Magdalena's studio was beautiful and clean. What an incredible experience! I chose Magdalena from PURE Boudoir for two reasons. One, I've worked with her before for my engagement and wedding photography, and two, for her incredible prospective when it comes to boudoir photography! I met Magdalena and her husband (who is also a photographer) before our wedding in 2014. They did an awesome job capturing our special day. Finding a good boudoir photographer is not easy and sometimes you have to travel to your dream session. That's what I did and it was a great decision. I live in Atlanta and couldn't find a photographer who would meet my expectations. I was looking for someone who could create that "feel" in the pictures. I didn't want the over-the-knee boots with a ball chain necklace effect. I wanted art! And so I flew to Chicago to have my session done with Magda. I was nervous about doing a boudoir shoot, though I felt it would be something fun to do before I turned 40, and I asked Magdalena if she minded photographing me clothed, albeit provocatively. She was more than accommodating and extremely warm in person. Her studio even had a chalkboard sign on it welcoming me when I came in. Given that I'm not necessarily the most photogenic gal and had no idea how to angle my body, she made the process extremely smooth and comfortable. Last Valentine's Day my husband gifted me a session with Magda. I had lost some weight and was taking better care of myself and was so proud of my achievements - what better way to celebrate then with some professional Boudoir photos! Her studio space is so beautiful - it has big windows to let in all this natural light, dark wood floors and exposed brick walls. Magda also has the studio furnished with some very chic pieces and they make for a great backdrop in the photos. She gives excellent guidance on how to pose and knows the perfect angles to get in order to make you look your very best. Her talent working with natural lighting is absolutely incredible and I was blown away by how so many of the photos turned out. Having a boudoir photo session with Magdalena was a great experience, much better than I anticipated. These kinds of sessions might make a client feel timid, but Magdalena has a way of making you feel comfortable and beautiful. Most importantly- she truly is a professional! She showed me some photos during the session on her camera and to my surprise they looked as if they were already edited- great lightening, showing the best angles, sexy, but sutle and tasteful. I was super nervous going into the photo shoot, but Magdalena could not be more helpful or reassuring! She helped me find a makeup artist and hair stylist and helped me relax immediately when I got there! Magdalena gave my friend and I SUCH an amazing experience. For boudoir being such an uncomfortable experience, I can't say I really felt the slightest bit uncomfortable after walking in her studio door.
