I came here for some last minute nails, simple medium black gel x nails. So I wasn't really expecting much but I didn't think I would leave with RING OF FIRE on my nails. I don't normally come to nail salons and this is why. The lady who greets you is very nice so I felt comfortable at first but throughout the service the lady who was doing my nails felt rushed and careless. After I was finally able to get the nails off and go to my friend who does nails for her personal insight as I've noticed how deeply imbedded the nail was to my normal nail (she's amazing might I add, I usually get my nails done by her). She pointed out that the dents in my nail bed are in fact called 'ring of fire' and it happens when the person drilling/filing your nails applies way too much pressure since you're supposed to be very gentle due to how delicate nail beds are. This experience only solidified my fear of nail salons and I will never be coming back again. STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!
There was about 20 minutes before closing, but they still rushed me and made me feel guilty for coming in at the last minute to get my eyebrows done. Regardless, I appreciated the accommodation. This review is solely based on my eyebrows. The lady chopped them off. See for yourself. She shortened it on both sides. Waxing the middle of my forehead and taking too much off the beginning of my brow and the end of the brow as well. I've never had such a botched experience in my life. I specifically asked for "just to clean up" and to maintain as much as my eyebrow as possible. I don't have thin eyebrows. And I've never had this experience. Would highly recommend avoiding this place if you want to get your eyebrows done and also they are cash only. They don't accept credit cards, Apple Pay or any electronic pay. I guess their customers are OK with this because they have been doing it for over 30 years, she said. I won't be going back.
I LOVE this!!!!!!! My first time here at Lovely nails. I got gel x for $70. They came out really great and they look BEAUTIFUL. The environment is very welcoming and great. Everyone is so sweet. Michael did my nails and he is so nice, helpful and did a great job with my nails. Helen was also very sweet and welcoming. This is a AMAZING place. Thank you everyone!!!
Ugh it breaks my heart to leave this review because I was so loyal to a lady here named tweety but damn have I been played and done dirty. I paid 60 for a manicure and pedicure with regular polish. Within two hours of coming home from the salon I started cooking and I noticed my nails were chipping. I'm pretty sure by the end of today all my nails will be mostly peeled and chipped. I tried texting her to see what could be done and she told me I'd have to come in and pay for a new set. Ladies I traveled from Santa Clarita to North Hollywood for her. This is completely wrong. The salon should've offered a refund or a free set of fresh nails. I could've easily painted my nails if I would've known
Been coming here for almost 20 years. I live nearby and I first got my nails done here for a high school dance! I have my favorite person for when I get acrylics and he does an amazing job, but I like everyone for everything else. They close at 8pm which is later than most nail salons, so that's another plus! The only downside is that it's still cash only. I would hope they would have upgraded to a credit card system by now, otherwise I'd give them 5 stars!
payed $50 for a set that I could've done myself ... i come to these places for the experience . I pay them for their time yet the entire time, the man doing, the nails was rushing being very sloppy and aggressive with my nails . Filing my nails extremely hard . I don't really care that I'm a teenager. I still want my nails to look nice and that's exactly what I paid him for. none of the nails are the same size or shape. He painted really badly. He didn't let one single coat fully dry. Don't come here unless you want them to rush to do your nails and if you want a shitty ass experience plus shit nails
I came here for a gel manicure and within 2 days 4 nails had just come off. I called and they had the same tech redo it for free but I waited for 1 hour to get the corrections. Then as soon as I got home two different nails gel polish just lifted off. I've gotten gel manicures for a long time and they've never just lifted off, its clearly not cured or put on correctly. Point is now I don't want do back there and only a week later I have to pay for a manicure again.

It has been awhile since I have posted, once again Michael is as wonderful and great and shaping and making my nails perfect. I love the shape of my nails I love the way I feel after I get my nails. The spa pedicure and hair and manicure is to die for and the price is so reasonable. I will never trade this nail salon for anywhere else. I have been coming here for the past six years and not once was I ever disappointed. They have stayed consistently awesome all that time. The quality was excellent as always. I love Michael hes the greatest. read more

Best place for me. All the employees are very good. Whether you want a basic manicure, gel nails, acrylic, or organic dip this is a great place to come and have a beautiful mani pedi for a very reasonable price. Bring cash. They only take cash. I have been coming here for over 3 years. read more

Very affordable and great service. Been coming here for years. Owners are friendly and most of the staff as well. I have a few favorite that I like for pedicure, I love Diane and num. Lisa, Michael and Annie are amazing at acrylics. They always give great suggestions and I never regret taking a chance on bold colors or designs. They have the spa pedicure with a massage chair and at the same time another person does your nails. They are always full Fridays and weekends so expect to wait so it's best to go Monday- Thursday I've never had to wait during those days. read more

This place was mediocre in comparison to other salons I've been too. Yea, 6$ for a polish change is a good price and they did an okay job. Pros- Cheap low prices Fast nail dryer Fair-good paint job Seem to have regular clientele Decent wait times Cons- Not very many colors to chose from at all. I went in wanting turquoise and couldn't find anything. Very few colors from OPI, the rest are off brands No spa chairs Cash only Didn't fully remove previous nail color prior to new polish application Pretty much come here for basics, not really to feel pampered. I guess that's why it's inexpensive though. I would give more stars, but in comparison to other places at similar prices, I just can't. Sorry :/ read more

Lovely Nails is an OK nail salon located in Burbank, CA. About a week ago, I got acrylics and a pedicure. The manicure: The manicure wasn't too bad. It wasn't the best nails I've ever gotten, but it was acceptable considering that the price was cheap (or cheaper compared to a lot of other places). For someone who doesn't expertise in nails, I would consider the acrylics here worth the money. Pedicure: Whole different story! It's funny considering that I payed almost an equivalent price to an acceptable manicure to a horrible pedicure. (Pedicure was 25, Manicure was 30, I believe.) I mean, look at the image for your self. You can see the nail technician just hurried while painting my nails. The coats were not even complete, and it looks like work of a child. Furthermore, this took about little over an hour. Sure, if I had last minute plans, I wouldn't take that so much into consideration, but I'm not. No need to rush. I think the nail technicians I worked with have potential if they took their time. But don't worry, I took that additional time writing this review! read more
I was still on the hunt for another place to get my nails done. I have a normal gal that I go to for pedicures, but since she doesn't do nail enhancements, I needed to look elsewhere for a place that does acrylics to my needs. The place that I went to to get my full set on didn't do what I asked, therefore I wont be returning. My sister goes here to get her manicures and was telling me about what a great experience she had, so I decided to give this little place a shot. First and foremost, don't let the outside fool you. This place is a small hole in the wall with very limited parking, some may need to park on the street. Cash only also! I didn't even think to call ahead to make an appointment because it was during the day on a Thursday. The place was still packed, which is a pretty good sign that the service is great. I was very happy that although I didn't have an appointment, they were quick to try to give me service. I think I waited about 5 minutes. I believe Linda is the one that did my fill. I told her about the experience I had at the last place I went to and knew exactly what I wanted from there. Short, natural looking acrylics, since I bite my nails and am trying to get them long enough to maintain on my own without biting. Linda exceeded my expectations and did my acrylics to my liking, very short and natural looking. I also asked for a neutral color, she picked a great color for me. I was very happy with the service, with Linda, and the entire place and will definitely be returning! Two main things to remember: call ahead! cash only! read more

I've been getting my nails done here for quite some time now and Michael and Annie are amazing! Both are extremely friendly and have great personalities...never a dull moment with those two! They are meticulous with their work and I'm very pleased every time I leave. Everyone's friendly here and the place is clean. They take walk-ins and it's cash only. read more

It was my first time here and I loved it. My nails look amazing (Thank you Lee) and my pedicure looks great too. I never really talk while I'm getting my nails done but Lee was so fun and easy to talk to. The place is clean, parking isn't the greatest and they only take cash so go to the ATM before you go. It's right down the street from my job so I'll be making more trips during my lunch break! Thanks again Lee read more

Every time I come here, I always leave very satisfied. One of my girlfriend's recommended me this place and to set up an appointment with Van. I always loved how her nails comes out so I decided to check her out. The first time I got my nails done by van, I got a matte gray color. Came out beautifully. I came back the second time around to get Christmas nails, done by Van, and I am in LOVE with it. Everyone is complimenting it and Van did a very good job in making her work very even. I trust her work. Make sure you bring cash, they don't accept credit/debit cards. ATM is available at the liquor store nearby. There's parking, even though it only says 20min., I still park there. I doubt you will get towed or ticketed. Highly recommend this place. read more

Bad customer service went in nobody was really there waited less than 5min got a gel manicure and the whole time it was being done rush I told her what was the rush she literally told me oh no baby I have other clients i don't care if you do I'm paying for the serivce..... don't recommend this place to any one what so ever bad serivce. read more

I have to say the only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because it's cash only and i never have cash on hand. I had to wait for a little, but the lady at the front thanked me for waiting and was super appreciative. They took their time and did a good job. She did tell me they are getting spa chairs next week and that they were trying to upgrade. read more

I wish I found this place sooner! Was trying to waste time before I went shopping and stumbled into this place. I had Michael who did an amazing job on my nails. I got almond shaped (first time), a pedicure as well as my eyebrows threaded for less than $50. I will definitely be back and I'm happy to spread the word. Parking might be hectic for you so plan ahead. read more

Micheal is amazing!!! I'M VERY BIG on quality I could care less about ambiance. I was sick of pay over 70 dollars at places that serve champagne to have ugly, horrible quality nails. I finally found someone who does an impeccable job, just as I want it! read more

I've recommended this place to my friends and they've loved it!! My cousins told me about Lovely Nails a few years ago and I haven't gone else where. Van is who I go to get my manicures. I'm not picky who does my pedicures. But Van is amazing! She is creative and never rushes with my nails! Personally I think she's a perfectionist! Which is awesome because I am too! Didn't make an appointment. - walked and and Helen helped me - took me right away for a regular mani/pedi ($22.00) Helen did a great job on my manicure - made sure I was happy with the length and shape. I forget who did my pedicure - (I think Cindy). It was okay - there were some nail polish stains on the side of my skin... Didn't want to bother them since they were getting really busy. A few co-workers come here for a gel mani and they always have pretty nails... I'd come back, unsure about a pedi though. read more

Lovely Nails is a pretty plain, smaller place. It's not much but has many happy, regular customers. Opens at 10am on weekdays, I called in considering Michael the manicurist seems popular and was told to come in at opening the next day. I actually came in 15 min early and they gladly took me in. They have ample color selection, regular and gel. Lin is supposed to be amazing with designs, definitely grab an appointment with her. Michael was very nice and gentle. Love the shape he gave me and naturalness of the acrylic set I purchased for $20 ( pretty good). I docked a star because he could have covered my nails a little better though the coats were even and smooth. Definitely coming back. read more

I guess it was my lucky day. Stopped on my way home from work as a walk-in, and they were able to take me immediately. Michael said his appointment for that time slot had just called to cancel. Perfect for me! Everyone else working was booked up, so I'll be sure to make an appointment next time. The staff was very friendly and did a beautiful job. Michael took the time to fix a few little chips in my nails and had a steady hand dotting on polka dots. Plus, it's awesome that they have perfectly matching sets of regular and gel polish. I always get gel on my nails and regular on my toes (because regular polish stays on my toes forever and a day, but I'm rough on my fingernails), so this is a huge deal for me. And the lady who did my pedicure (I didn't catch her name but she was delightful) even brought over the color of little foam flip-flops that matched my nails. So cute. They might not have the fancy massage chairs some places have, and it's cash only, but there's an ATM at the liquor store a couple doors down (so it's not a big deal), and you can't beat the prices! Pair that with a lovely manicure and a perfectly matched pedicure and you can bet I'll be back. read more
