I made an appointment. A time was confirmed. I came 1 minute before my appointment time and spoke to the first woman who greeted me. I sat and waited in a pedicure chair with no water for 32 minutes before I was finally serviced. I was serviced only because I collected my things to leave. This will be my last time getting any services from here. read more

I get my lashes done here! It's a hidden gem. 40 dollar clusters and she does them just how I like. The photo doesn't do enough justice but I travel far just to come to this place! Thank you! Toes are only 22. read more

I came here for the first time for a full set of acrylic because my friend had already payed for them in advance. Keep in mind this was the day before my senior prom. We go in and I'm immediately being rushed by one of the worker to pick my color and sit. Once I sit she rushes putting one of my nails on so it came out crooked and I had to explain to her every single thing I wanted her to do and she wouldn't listen. I told her I want them I little long but still short and she wouldn't cut them. I told her I wanted coffin and I got rectangles. The paint job was a complete mess and it just wasn't what I wanted at all and she had the audacity to expect tip. I would never go here ever again, not even if it was an emergency and I had an event coming up. read more

Got my eyebrows waxed, and the technician did a great job. While paying,I mentioned I had a $50 bill and asked if this would be a problem to make change. "No problem", I was told. Another older employee (who seemed to be "in charge") came over and spoke with the technician as she was cashing my bill and getting change for me. Older employee took over, slowly counted money, handed me back only $30, looked me straight in the eyes and said, "$20 charge." I pointed to the price menu -posted directly behind her- listing price as $12. " Nope, eyebrows cost only $12. Why are you charging me $20?" Older lady wasn't happy about this, but she turned back to the register and got additional bills to make correct change. I gave a small tip directly to the technician, since she had done a good job on my brows and it was unclear if she was instructed by the older employee to give me incorrect change. This was not a mistake. This is a dishonest business. I was a regular brow customer there (they did a decent job and it was $12 each and every time ), but I will never go back there again. I've been to this nail salon twice over the last several years, most recently being yesterday. I usually get my nails done in Southie, however I was in the area and Lovely Nails was conveniently nearby. Upon walking in, one of the workers was maxing & relaxing with her body spread out on the couch watching tv on her iPad and paid no mind to the fact that a customer had just entered. A technician who was already doing another woman's nails had to greet me from across the salon. Before getting my nails done i politely requested to use the restroom, the woman on the couch looked up and pointed to the back without saying a word. Apparently the bathroom was in the basement, so i walk down towards this sketchy un-lit basement. I get in the basement and it looks like something you would only see in a movie, a creepy bedroom off to the left side with children in it watching tv. To make matters more awkward, I had to ask a child where the toilet was, he pointed to the far back of the un-lit room. It was a dirty toilet inside of a closet, so gross. After that whole debacle, I decided to opt for a polish change since it was cheaper and faster than a full manicure. At every other salon I've ever been to, a polish change also includes--at the bare minimum--a brief nail filing: Not at this place. My nails are jagged and uneven. The second i sat in the chair she applied the polish and rushed through it. After seating me at the drying station the woman says "You pay Me now" paying no mind to the fact that 30 seconds before she just painted my nails. I said "I can't, my nails are wet" so she reaches in my bag and grabs my wallet. Fast forward a day later to today. My nails, still uneven and jagged from the lack of filing, are now chipping already as well. I'm not familiar with any other nail salons in the HP area, but I think its safe to say they're probably a hell of a lot better than this place. read more

I called earlier in the day and was told to come because there was availability. However, i waited 45 mins before I decided to just leave. Called to make an appointment later in the day and still waited 20 mins to be seen. All in all, they did an okay job, but the wait was ridiculous. read more

Horrible service. The wait is ridiculous and the manager is rude. They do no greet you. Some of the clients are not wearing their masks. I do not recommend this place. I will not come back. read more

Worst customer service i have ever experienced. They don't greet you when you walk in and they don't give you an accurate wait time. Even if you call to make a schedule they make it seem like it's your fault that they are busy. Such a shame because i feel like they do the nails nice, just can't get pass the rude service. I've even recommended people and they said the same thing. It's embarrassing read more

they're overpriced and NOT worth it. The best person there is Pete! He takes his time, but does a great job! They have a lot of colors and the pedicures are relaxing. I really enjoy having this place in my community read more

This is the best nail place I've been to so far and I've been twice. Judy is the best, so ask for her. The refills are $15 which is good (in Waltham where I used to go it was about $18 and in Danvers where I live it's $25+ everywhere) but they charge you $2 for a cut down. I've never been actually charged for a cutdown before, but the fill was still worth it. I also got a pedicure for $22 and they use the pedi-egg which gets rid of a lot of dead skin and overall is pretty cool and unique to other nail salons I"ve been to. The massage chairs are pretty comfortable as well. The second time I went I saw the owner, Ann, who is pretty good, but not as good as Judy. She cut me a little and her nail design came out a little sloppy, but okay. Nail design is between $7-10. One of the techs was rude to any customer she talked to and she's really the biggest downside to Lovely Nails. I would defintiely recommend this place for Judy's skills and politeness and reasonable cost. I plan on continuing to go here every couple of weeks. read more

I went to this place a few times because it's in the area, and every time has been different. One day they're good, the next they're bad. Honestly, the inconsistency is not worth it. The last time I went in to get me nails done, the owner had to instruct the woman how to do my gel manicure, which lead me to believe that she wasn't licensed or at the very least properly instructed on this method. I truly believe it was the former, and not the latter. Another nail technician told me that in a lot of these "around the way" places only a few of them have licenses, and they share them amongst each other, because sometimes they look a lot a like. The woman screwed up royally, so bad that my nail polish was coming off by the time I made my seven minute walk home. I told the owner that it wasn't being done right, especially with like six coats of polish. She said "I know what I'm doing." But clearly she didn't because I had to go back in the next day for them to do it all over. And if you ever had a gel manicure, you know that soaking your nails in acetone two days in a row isn't good. After they "fixed" my nails, I still noticed some air bubbles, which tells me that the gel will be peeling in a few days. I never had this happen anywhere else. I will not go back even though the older woman does a good pedicure. In fact, I think she's the only one who knows what she is doing. So if this is your last option, pick the older woman, with short hair, and glasses. read more

The biggest mistake I ever made was walking into this facility to get a Gel Manicure. I had my nails done before, about 10 years ago. I was entirely disappointed with the technician that did my nails. She apparently did not have the experience to do what I wanted. My nails were not shaped as I requested, there was so much gunk under my nails I could not believe it. The filing of the nails was the worst thing ever. I could not in good conscious recommend this place to anyone their hard earned money. Not Lovely at all. read more

Sub-par establishment. Went here because it was closer than my usual salon but I should have just waited. The people seemed nice but the place was a bit run down looking. I love this place! If I could give 10 stars I would! When I walked in I was greeted immediately with a smile! The technician that did my nails and pedi was friendly and I enjoyed talking with her. I love getting my nails done here. Cathy does an awesome job that they not only look natural, but they last and so does the nail polish. The customer service that she offers is magnificient compared to the previous manager who was extremely rude and intimidating. I have always had an extremely busy schedule which makes it difficult to stop at the salon regularly. However, since Cathy has been there, she's been able to take me on short notice and during her most busy times. I can honestly say she is always willing to provide service to me. I came to Lovely Nail because it was convenient and in the neighborhood but I will never return again. I got a full set and she didn't glue any of the nails on correctly. It hasn't been a full week and two of my nails have broken off doing simple things such as getting dressed. As she was doing my nails she stopped and said, "I'm so tired" and proceeded to check her Facebook feed as I sat in front of her waiting for her to complete my nails. Never, ever again. Absolutely terrible. read more

I am not one to take my time and review businesses, however this nail salon has the worst customer service that I have experienced in a very long time. I went to this salon due to the close proximity of its location to my house. Once I went in, they were slightly busy however one of the technicians completed a pedicure and took me within two minutes. I got a full set with french manicure design. The technician was good EXCEPT for the fact that she cut my finger. The cut was really deep and It was painful. They did not offer alcohol wipes of even some kind of ointment to prevent infection but just said "sorry". I did not make a big deal because mistakes happen, however I was worried because I noted that they do not sanitize their equipment. Halfway through getting the tips done, my technician left me to attend to one of her regular customers that just walked into the salon and the owner took over. My experience went downhill from then on. The owner had an attitude like she did not care, or was not in the mood to attend to me. She was very fast and sloppy when painting my tips with the nail polish I chose. On top of that, when she was trying to correct the many mistakes that she did on one of my nails, nail remover happened to seep into my cut and it burned. I cried out and tried to tell her to take it easy due to my cut, all she kept telling me was sorry, at one point she got irritated and said "Well it is not my fault". I tried explaining to her that the other technician cut me and that the cut is burning if she could take it easy with my nails. It seemed that she did not care. Once she was done painting, it came time for the designs. She began creating a design and ignoring my request to pick a design that they advertised in the front of the salon! She then had to clean the nail and allowed me to show her the design that I originally requested when I walked into the store. After all of this, I looked at my nails and it was not what I chose and it was sloppy because she was very fast and was not paying attention to my nails. Upon all the fiasco I went through I still tipped them, but kept in mind that I will NEVER go back to this place again!!! read more
