My favorite thing about this place is that they do have great service and tend to remember my weird habits like no wax and no cuticle cutting. I also give them five stars for occasional waxing services. My only qualm is that they don't provide great acrylics or even offer gel extensions. Regardless of our language barrier she still made the effort to make pleasant conversation and as you can see from the photo did an amazing job!! They also provide coffee during your service. I wish there was a way to book online and the phone number went straight to voicemail, but it was super easy to walk in and reserve the time that I was looking for. They also do not take debit cards so be prepared with cash or or a credit card if you go - those are the only reasons I didn't rate 5 stars because otherwise I was more than happy with my services, and it was easy to work around! I get builder gel nails with gel polish, and her work is consistently beautiful, precise, and long-lasting. But what really sets her apart is who she is as a person and professional. She owns the business and somehow manages to do everything at once -- welcoming clients, answering phones, supporting other techs with their clients -- all while giving you her full, undivided attention. She is the most observant and attentive person I've ever met. You never feel rushed, forgotten, or like just another appointment. Over the years, seeing her that often, Monica became a very dear friend. We know each other's lives deeply -- the big things, the small things, the in-between seasons. Saying goodbye when I moved to Virginia was genuinely one of the hardest goodbyes of the entire move. An older gentleman used a drill machine for the removal and filed/buffed my nails down to a painful level. I tried to let a few workers there know but everyone seemed essentially unbothered. I was the first customer of the morning and had booked my appointment online. Apparently, I accidentally booked a manicure instead of a pedicure, which the owner pointed out to me in a very rude manner. I understand that mistakes happen, but there was no reason for the attitude. She also immediately questioned whether my car was parked in the back lot, explaining that it was for employees, and continued to give me unfriendly looks throughout the interaction. A simple "good morning" or a friendly greeting would have gone a long way. As a paying customer, I don't expect special treatment, just basic courtesy and professionalism. It's disappointing when the service provider is wonderful, but the overall experience is overshadowed by the way the owner treats customers. They're willing to show you a few colors/design, allowing you to compare the designs before they start and finalize it. This way, you know you will be pleased with the final product. Got a manicure and pedicure here a week ago and it's the worst mani pedi I've ever gotten…read morequality-wise. My fingernails weren't clipped to the same length, they weren't all filed to the same shape, and my toenails weren't clipped short enough. As for the longevity of the mani pedi: my nails are already chipping off on my fingers and toes and the bottoms of the gel manicure are already lifting. I was worried they only did *one layer* of gel for the manicure and this is the result. I've had the same style of manicure last a month with no chipping and every pedicure I've ever gotten lasting at least a month before showing wear. I paid $135+tip and I will not be returning. Such a disappointment because the service was friendly and helpful and the salon was cute and clean.
