The pedicure by Linda is wonderful. I've hesitated to leave a review because she's a hidden gem. If you like a long and relaxing leg and foot massage with painted nails on the side she's it! It's dreamy. The salon was updated not long ago as well so the chairs are much nicer. I'm one who doesn't care for too much chatter because I don't get me time often, so I also enjoy the quiet nature. This time I am a little disappointed, I had tips put on and told the technician that I wanted them longer, and they are very pretty but came out so short that some nails I can feel the tips of my skin before the nail, and they are painful! What is the point of putting tips on if they are filed down so much? I'm not sure if I will go back if they can't do what I ask for. read more

Came back thinking maybe I just had a bad experience the last visit but now I'm sure it's just the level of service at this salon. I arrived at 6:04 and was being polished at 6:31! The whole pedicure was 24 minutes. The polish was applied to my toes then after all the polish was on she proceeded to attempt the foot massage only it wasn't a massage as she couldn't because my toes were polished. Her lack of skills were evident along with little to no pressure on the massage to my legs. A three year old could have done a better job. Disappointed. The water was not hot. Lynn did a fantastic job on my eyelash extentions! I had been driving up to Dilworth to another provider (lash me now, also excellent) but wanted something closer to home. Also Lovely Nail runs specials on groupon as well, but straight pricing was competitive with other high end lash-salons. Lynn did a GREAT job, no tugging on eyes or discomfort at all. I really would not recommend this place- ever . So my understanding is the entire point of a Groupon is so the business offering it can expose it self to new customers and earn their future business while the customer gets a great deal and hopefully finds a new place for future visits. With THAT said, if u don't want to give me Proper service because I have a Groupon then DON'T offer them. I purchased 2 gel manicures (for myself and teen daughter) for $50. Not bad, gel Mani is usually $35 elsewhere so great- saved $20. So I asked my tech how much to add tips- she said "full set $45". I said yeah but I have a Groupon so what would it cost to ADD tips. She said $45 ea. Umm no. So I'd be paying $130 then plus tip for two gel mani's??? When I continued to question they brought over the entire salon of techs - finally i said no, no tips. After that point I could tell they were pissed. The service was cold and so were their attitudes. And it is EXTREMELY RUDE to speak to each other in another language while snickering. I asked my tech if she could add flowers to both thumbs - very simple nothing fancy. She pushed back snickered out loud and said something to my daughters tech. I asked how much and the huffed and puffed. Cmon. Lesson learned, just pay the full price SOMEWHERE else. This was not worth it. And last thing, she took the tools she used on my nails ran them under water at the sink and placed them back underneath my table. $&!&? read more

I recently lost about 70% of my big toe nail due to a minor injury and it was hideous looking! It was my first visit to this salon. The only positive: It was clean and odor free. From the greeting forward I really did not feel welcome by the nail tech. Her "bedside manner" was lacking for my expectations. I mentioned during my manicure that I had a coupon and she questioned me about it - without seeing it. We proceeded with the manicure, anyway. I really did not like the way she "did" my nails. Frankly, it was one of the worst, if not the worst, gel manicures I have ever had - bubbles were left in the finish, it is too thick, there are color bleeds into the cuticles, and actual (tiny) clip marks in the skin of a couple of my fingers, etc. Then she refused to accept my coupon because the coupon (which said NOTHING about acrylic) was only good for acrylic with gel. Not right! Their prices are TOO high for the market/area. Needless to say, one and done for my patronage there. read more

The owner painted my toe nails today and it literally looked like a two year old did my nails. I told her she missed a portion on two toes and she "went back over it" but still left a big gap. Eventually the amount of times she went over my toes caused them to peal quickly and bubble. My mom and I have been going here for a while and it's been going downhill every time we've been. The service feels rushed and it makes you feel like your business is unimportant. She left multiple times during my pedicure to tend to other customers needs and clearly rushed with mine. I expect more from the owner and am very disappointed with her. My mom and I will not be going back other than to get a refund. read more

Hidden treasure in Weddington. Just spent 90 minutes getting a bamboo pedicure. A bamboo pedi consists of a deep exfoliation, with a hot towel wrap, hot stone massage followed by a bamboo deep tissue massage that is amazing! Then you get a foot mask, and a wonderful butter massage. Now if that isn't enough you still get your pedicure! Seriously worth every minute and for the price I dare you to find anywhere better. When you deserve or just want to treat yourself, I highly recommend Lovely Nails. They also offer many other great services. I dare you to stay awake during the bamboo pedi. Then I found the file he used on my nail looked like used one with lots of scratches on both sides of the surface. This salon is close by so I go often and lately my experiences here haven't been good. It took over an hour for them to take off my acrylic nails when they only had 2 other people in the store. when I left there was still acrylic on my nails. I was very displeased I came here to relax and just got annoyed from the poor service. Also the lady doing my nails put a tool in the same bowl my fingers were soaking in. So unsanitary I was grossed out and she did it 2 times!!! I didn't even end up getting my nails painted because I just wanted to leave. Not a good experience. read more

I have been going here for a few months now and I love it. New owners took it on late in 2013 and they did a great job remodeling the inside with ceramic tile floors, new paint, and new furniture.
