Been stopping in for a couple years to have nails done while in town. This time was horrible. They're very fast, but the quality NOW is terrible. Had gel and wanted my previous builder gel removed before new. They didn't want to and I finally gave in. Well, the very next day, my new gel cracked off of one finger. So disappointing to pay that much and not get quality products or service. Their products used to be amazing. Now, they are terrible. I felt rushed thru and I had an appointment. Won't be back. Super disappointed. The only reason I'm writing this review is to save someone else from wasting their money. read more

I was very pleased with my visit here. They did an excellent, quick job on my fill in. They look REALLY good! The place is decorated nicely but definitely good use w deep cleaning. It was nothing that I wouldn't come back to, but really does need to be shown come cleaning love. Staff were nice and pricing was great!! I've tried a lot of nail salons close to where I live in Charlotte. Let me save you some time and well, more time because it's slow as shit. I asked for an SNS manicure, and it was clear as soon as that little chisel tool came out the nail tech had no idea what that is. I think she gave me a dip powder treatment followed by some sort of hardener, but she had buffed just before and there was dust all over my nails, and the dust/powder/polish combo just sort of all came out a hardened mess. It had been a solid 45 minutes and I needed to go, even though she'd started taking polish off several of my nails to redo. I got up to pay and go, and she chased me to the counter and out the door. I told her there was no way in hell I'd be back. This polish did not come off for almost 4 weeks. I'm convinced she used superglue. Don't go here. read more

I'm satisfied with my nails. My lady did an overall good job. They were awful quiet and didn't really greet me. "Hello , how can I help you" type of greet. They just kind of ignored me until I said something. It happened a few other times throughout my visit, so I not sure if it's because no one wanted to work or really bad costumer service or it was me specifically but they could be a little more friendly and communicate more. read more

The best nail salon in Charlotte. Coming from NYC, where you can get an excellent mani on every block, I have been repeatedly disappointed in the quality of the nail salons here. Someone recommended (the Piper Glen) Nini (not the one on John J Delaney). It doesn't look like much, there isn't posh decor or a glam vibe, and if you're looking for the latest here-today-gone-tomorrow nail fad, this isn't the place for you. I come here usually about every 4 months or so (or once my heels are so cracked I can't be seen in public with sandals on). I always appreciate the ladies' recognizing me, and their suggestion that I come and sit in a pedicure chair to soak my weary feet. You can sip on a glass of wine or a soft drink and simply enjoy the pampering. I have very ticklish feet, so I always know my grimaces during the foot massage will be met with laughter. They are also very accommodating and conversational when necessary (if I'm not there with a friend, they'll chat with me). My nails always end up looking great and stay that way for a few days...usually a week or two. Do remember to bring cash for a tip. I can understand why they do this, and my mani-pedi buddy usually forgets, so I bring extra. I appreciate their quick and detailed work...it's a nice treat once in a while. read more

I went to Nini on recommendation from two coworkers. I can't say that I've had many excellent experiences at nail salons, but today was different. I am getting married this Saturday, and wanted to plan a special outing for the women in the family before the big day. I was worried because I knew I'd be having women from all over town coming, some needing babysitters, and I just wanted it to be a good time and worth it for everyone involved. I scheduled for a party of 6 at 6 pm (which they still allowed even though they close at 7) I walked in 20 minutes early to start picking out a color. Something so simple became such a complicated decision for me with wedding brain. One of the ladies was so nice to ask me what I was interested in and help me go through the colors one by one, even sampling them on my nails before we got started. I finally picked the one, and sat down to begin the process. Because my girls were coming from different parts of town, some were a few minutes late but we were never felt rushed. We all got complimentary drinks and each technician took their time and gave each girl their full treatment. The "regular" mani pedi service puts others in the area to shame. I am so glad I chose Ninis for such a special event in my life. It's hard to please 6 women who have all had different experiences at nail salons, but I can say they all were happy with the quality and care they received and want to come back and continue supporting this great establishment! read more

Decided to try a new nail salon and I was so glad I did!! The staff was very friendly and helpful and it was honestly amazing service. At a convenient location right across from stonecrest. I got the SNS dip and then I had some little swirly designs done and they were fantastic!! Very calm, relaxing environment as well. All around amazing!! Price wasn't too bad also. I am not totally sold on this place. I am new to the Charlotte/Ballantyne area and needed a place to get a full set done. Let me begin by saying that this was not a relaxing experience. I was asked to change seats about 5 times while I was there. I can over look this, although a little inconvenient when I am getting my nails done and I have to move my purse all these times, they didn't bring my things for me. I got the Pink and White full set done on my nails and, quite frankly, they don't look so great. I mean, they look ok from afar, but for $50, they should look amazing. I don't think I will be coming back here, I have heard much better things about other nail spas on Yelp, I'll be giving them a try next! Finally! A nail salon where there isn't a television invading the relaxing experience of a quality treatment. I'm not sure why NiNi gets sour reviews. I just had a gel mani/pedi and the quality of the work was superior. Although not "chatty" with the clients, I enjoyed the quiet. They softly play upbeat music. The shop is neat and clean. I came here one late afternoon to do a quick eyebrow wax because it was close to where I work. The ladies in the salon were super friendly and did a great job. I came back for a mani/pedi and had the same great experience. I have been going here for over a year now and have had no cause for complaints. I always see Theresa for my mani/pedi and usually I make an appointment as sometimes they get real busy. Lynn is good with the eyebrows, she even does threading which I prefer. read more

They did a terrible job on my friends feet, made me bleed, the music was obnoxious and after racking up over $80 in services I wanted to pay $25 by visa gift card. The lady saw both my cards, rolled her eyes and walked away before I could also give her my gift card. I tried to stop her, she then blamed a "language barrier" for swiping my debit card before the visa gift card!!! I clearly asked her and she didn't hide how inconvenienced she was. I've been going to NiNi in Piper Glen since 2002--almost 10 years, wow! I have a great relationship with them and try to get a pedi every time I'm in town visiting my folks. No real appointments necessary; sign in, get in the chair, and they'll ask you what you want to drink. I think they offer most soft drinks, water, and wine. My pedis always last 3 to 4 weeks. These days, there are great specials and discounts, so call to figure out when there are good deals. read more

Went in hoping for beautiful nails, came out with random flakes of green in my nails. I paid $50 for a full set of pink and white and I ended up with a lady that was rude, demanded I pay before she finished, and she didn't even take off the entirety of the polish I had before had (the green flakes in the finished product). Worst customer service EVER. The girl I had, wish I knew her name, was on her phone texting, checking Facebook, and talking to someone on the phone, laughing and obviously not talking about something important, the WHOLE time. The whole point of going to a salon is to relax and enjoy getting your nails done but I couldn't because of her checking her phone every chance she got.
