Enjoyed celebrating a friend's Birthday dinner. Nice bar area with good Happy Hour. Food was delicious and cooked to Order fresh, a nice variety on the menu. Great service

Love the ambience, my burger was really delicious and the drinks were so good. I'm coming back soon. As this could easily become my comfort food spot. Our server was personable and gave great recommendations.

Omg I really enjoyed my solo date! Skylar was my waiter, he was so attentive. Although he's fairly new he navigated the menu like a long time employee. I asked for his recommendations, everything he recommended was super yummy.. I started with some deviled eggs! The splash of hot sauce complimented the eggs so well and the crunch of the bacon put a nice twist to it. I really enjoyed the filling it wasn't too sweet nor did it have a lot of extra ingredients. 10/10 for sure!! For my entree I went with the blackened snapper, I subbed mashed potatoes instead of the potato salad. I'm very particular about my potato salad I was too nervous to try it. After speaking with Paula I wish I would've tried it. No worries I'll come back just to try it. This snapper is good some of the best blackened snapper I've had. It was so moist and flaky the cream sauce made it even better. Chefs kiss for sure! 10/10 For dessert I had the flourless chocolate cake, if you're a chocolate lover this will be your go to. Although it says cake to me it had more of like a fudge texture. The raspberry sauce really helped out with cutting the sweetness of the chocolate. The restaurants fairly small, they have a huge selection of alcohol. I wasn't able to order a drink I was still sobering up from the night before. The bartender I didn't get her name she was super pleasant and helpful as well! I'll most definitely recommend lounge here

Lounge Here is another East Dallas favorite. We met friends for dinner before Snowmegeddon happened. What makes them unique is their groovy, kitschy design. They've been a great add to the hood for a long time. The food is solid and they know how to cocktail. The menu changes each season as the bartenders come up with interesting creations. Their execution is really good and we're lucky to have them. I had two nice cocktails. Their Espresso Martini and Vieux Carre were perfect for a cold night. Everyone makes an Espresso Martini these days, but they can be hit or miss. It was the perfect balance of coffee, slightly sweet and frothy. Well done!! If you haven't had a Vieux Carre (photo 4) you should. It's a classic boozy rye cocktail with cognac, Benedictine, sweet vermouth, Peychauds and Angostura bitters. This boozy masterpiece is a classic New Orleans recipe named after the French Quarter ("old square") and created in the late 1930s by Walter Bergeron at the Hotel Monteleone's Carousel Bar. The delicious ingredients symbolize the diverse cultures of the French Quarter. Its well-documented origin story and rich flavor profile make it a classic staple of cocktail history. Go enjoy the fantastic service and quality at Lounge Here next time you're for a groovy evening. Salute @thejohnnycocktail #cocktails #cocktailphotography #neworleans Vieux Carre 3/4 oz. Rye 3/4 oz. Prosciutto wrapped chicken over mashed potatoes

My husband and I came in here after an evening at the arboretum and really enjoyed the experience! We sat at the bar and had the pleasure of meeting Will. He was super helpful and patient as we had never been before! He recommended an off menu special of chicken wrapped in prosciutto on a bed of mashed potatoes with Asparagus and it was good!! We also really enjoyed the laid back but sophisticated atmosphere, it seemed like a great spot for a date or a dinner with a small group of friends. It's a smaller spot so I'd think a party of like 6+ check to see reservations.

Excellent vibes. Incredible, welcoming service. Good food. I wanted a little more out of the final product for each dish. Proteins were a little dryer and over seasoned, but maybe it was an off night!' Nothing at all was bad. Everything was good. But none of the food matched the excellence of the vibe and service.

Derby - 3/5 Scarlet - 3/5 Deviled Eggs - 4/5 Steak Frites - 3/5 Linguini Pasta - 3/5 Service was fantastic, a friendly and attentive waiter. The ambiance is perfect for a date night or dinner night friends. It is close and intimate, and even when full isn't too loud that you need to strain to hear. The food was decent overall. The steak was cooked medium but some parts of it came out more chewy than others. It also felt a bit over salted. The fries were tasty though some came out soggy while others came out crunchy. The pasta tasted alright. The drinks were about the same, good enough but not good enough to warrant another one.

Deviled eggs, the hot sauce is a great touch

The Lounge Here has an upscale 70s feel to it without being pretentious. It has been an East Dallas staple for several years now and we're making a point to consciously and intentionally frequent restaurants in our immediate area to keep the character of our neighborhood alive. We grabbed a couple of appetizers and settled in with some drinks, a steamy, boozy chai drink for me and as always for my husband a whiskey, neat. He had the same for round two but I decided to try something different, their cocktails have quirky names and mine was a Pear-odactyl. A martini style cocktail with pear liqueur, lime and I don't recall the other ingredients but it was delicious and I highly recommend it. We can't wait to come back and try their actual entrees but whether you live in the area or have to make the drive across town Lounge Here is definitely worth the visit, I promise you'll love it.

Ask the Community - Lounge Here

Is this place family friendly and is there space for a stroller?

It is a pretty small space but there are booths (if that's an option for you). There was a toddler the night I went, but the staff was overall very accommodating and I do believe they are considered family friendly. Not sure if they have kids menus…

Is there a dog friendly patio?

Are reservations required?

Not required but you can make them.

Music on Sunday?? What time does it start?

None that I'm aware of.

Food, however, wasn't great, we came multiple times last year and it was fantastic all around, last night?... New risotto appetizer was flavorless 4/10, sauce was outstanding 9/10. Chicken meatballs were 6/10, salty, but sauce again was 8.5/10. Bread with the meatballs was 9/10. Nightly special was 9/10, chicken thigh wrapped chicken leg, amazing sauce and carrots. Special sauce with the nightly special stole the night at 9.5/10 - I'd order a bowl of that and call it a night! Magic Chicken Thighs were 6/10, overly salted and dry - side arugula salad was a salt bomb 2/10. Sweet potatoe purée was 7.5/10. Burger and fries were 7/10, solid and above average. Salmon was 7/10, slightly overcooked. Mac & Cheese was 3/10, below average, dry, almost flavorless - paid $4 for bacon topping and it was dry also. Noodles were dried out and the cheese sauce was at the bottom of the cup, tasted like they scooped in pre-made noodles, added sauce, threw it in the oven and off it went - didn't appear mixed together at the least. Carrots, solid 8/10. Overall, I'd be tempted to give it another try, the ambiance and overall feel is awesome - then hope the food is great again and make it a perfect Friday night spot, but for $275 for the 4 entree's, 2 appetizer's and 2 drinks we got last night? I'd argue it wasn't worth it.

Small place but it made the experience a bit intimate especially in the low light. Sat at the bar and had a couple of spicy margaritas which were really great - not too sweet out sour. Food was delicious. Started with the Focaccia bread which was fresh and hot and a great appetizer. We ordered the pork chops and filet mignon. Both were incredible and we enjoyed the meal so much I bought some flank steaks the next day to grill and some focaccia bread to bake just to experience something similar at home again. Our trio is vegetarian, and the prix fixe options were not v.f. However, Gary and staff were understanding, and adjusted the selections to fit our needs. Thankfully, as we were dining after 6pm, the dining rooms were not SRO, nor were their guests on the patio, or we certainly would not put upon the kitchen crew the adjustments. The setting and space of McRae's is refreshingly unique, cozy and welcoming. Dress up or down, you'll always feel welcome. And the previous times we have dined there, , the food is always prepared with attention, servings generous and the taste is superb. The creme brûlée? Truly, "tres magnifique." With a covered patio, McRae's is ready for any weather conditions in Dallas. There is also a full bar, and our wine pours were not stingy. "Thanks again" Gary and crew, for your hospitality, support and ever delicious food. "Support local and independent" knowing that McRae's is a top choice and standout in this category.

He literally told me, "If a drop of rain comes, then I'll give it to you." It had rained for much of the day, and multiple customers were asking about the same promotion. If the requirement is that rain must physically be falling while you order, that needs to be clearly stated in the advertisement. Otherwise, the promotion feels misleading. I've been to Parliament several times and have never had a bartender interpret the rainy-day happy hour this way. I ended up ordering a smoked Old Fashioned from another bartender I've had before, and it was great. He was friendly, engaging, had great energy, and even did tricks while making the drink. I still enjoyed my cocktail, but it would've been nice to have the option to order from the happy-hour menu as advertised that day. I'm including the Instagram post for reference. I'm very disappointed as I've never not had a good time at Parliament. I really think that the owner should look at the Times stamps around 930 to 10:15pm part night and see the difference of business and traffic flow from when the taller bartender with the glasses versus the shorter Bartender with the glasses was at the front as it was instantly more business. Oh and lastly, I left my Betsy JOHNSON purple umbrella. I'm so sad and they don't have a number to call.

It has a special, magical charm of the perfect dive bar. I'm ignoring my previous trip there as, well, I should not have brought that person to this place. This place is not for pretentious people. Thus I was at home at this spot. It looks camouflaged by plain wrapping with a boring exterior. Open the door and it is a world of more things to explore than you have time to. You are treated like family as a stranger. Be ready to be among people who want to know you. I guess I fit as some there knew my friends from other dive bars. I never realized how small the Dallas Dive bar world was. I have some cool friends. The music is good on the video jukebox. The tears came to my eyes as a few post 9/11 patriotic songs were played (I bleed Army green and so did some that didn't return home to their moms intact.) Glad none there saw my eyes or noticed my toast to my memories. The couple dancing on the next song made me feel more at home. Good thing a good 2 step or waltz never played or I might have had to find a partner. The decor is somewhat Green Bay Packer-ish. Okay, a lot of Green Bay love in the decor. Heh, yes, I still carry a grudge from the 1967 Ice Bowl as a life long Cowboy fan should! But, I respect a bar owner who has actual stock in his/her team and displays it proudly! So that adds another star or would that be Starr? The patrons make this one special. This is one of the great dive bars!
