Well I'm just writing to say I do not like the sausage crust. It gave me heartburn. I haven't tried anything else except maybe chicken wings. Close down. read more

Um I've been waiting to go here for so long because it's the ONLY place that has deep dish gluten free pizza. So I finally went with my boyfriend and it exceeded my expectations. The place itself is definitely casual but had some warmer mood lighting. Pretty empty on a Saturday night. Deep dish pizzas take over 30 minutes to come out, which is advertised on the menu so you know ahead of time. We both got the small cheese deep dish with butter crust, my boyfriend regular and me gluten free. Small is supposed to feed two people. Gluten free only comes in small. You can get regular in personal to large however. Definitely recommend going with the simple cheese, sometimes classic is the best way to go so you can appreciate the beauty of a pizza. Definitely also recommend going with the butter crust. My gosh, it had the perfect bite to it, both chewy and crispy. A little more rich but in the best ways possible. There was gobs of sauce, which I loooove. So fresh and bursting with savory flavor and could tell it was homemade with few ingredients (because you only need a few). The cheese pull was insane and also had a generous amount (and of course had to add more parm on top). I could only eat half and the leftovers tasted just as delicious the next day. My boyfriend basically finished his so know it's possible I gave a slice to my dad because I'm so nice and he very much enjoyed it and he's a harsh critic for gluten free pizza. I can't wait to go back. Note this is obviously a heavier dish but so worth it read more

Follow up review. Always my go to location for Lou's. Right near where I live and super easy to pickup. Parking can get crowded if the restaurant next door is busy, but they do have dedicated spaces for Lou's only. Then just walk in and pick up. Also note this location is only a pick up location, not dine in. read more

Got the Chicago Classic and it was delicious. The sausage, sauce and crust are all great. The Malnati salad was quite good as well. Service was fast and friendly. Cute little store with no tables, only carry-out available. We would all eat here again. read more

We always order to go! We had never had an issue when you open the pizza and it is different from what you ordered!

Frequented the business at Camelback and Central for years until they closed. This review reflects the entire business organization though. I had over 2000 points on my account and they removed them. Unfortunately I will never visit another Lou's in the valley again read more

Terrible in comparison with Chicago. Absolutely criminal misrepresentation of food. If they make dough there the people need to be replaced with ones that can follow instructions. Maybe frozen and reheated? It's one of the two and it's food fraud either way. read more

Absolutely horrible throughout. Live about 15 minutes away and ordered delivery. Took 1 hour and 40 minutes to deliver. Pizza was cold, salad was warm, found hair in our food. This is not the first time we've had troubles with this location, but this seems extremely bad this time. Would say to anyone to stay away read more

Lou Malnati's Pizza in Phoenix brings a nice taste of Chicago to the Southwest. It is not quite the same as having it back in Chicago, but it comes pretty close, especially for anyone from California looking for that classic deep-dish fix. The crust is buttery, the sauce is rich, and the cheese pull is always satisfying. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed, making it a great spot to enjoy comfort food that reminds you of home. read more

Good food, pizza will definitely bring Chicago memories; spicy pasta dish was just right! The place definitely had a lot of personality! Perfect for a casual night out with family and friends! Server was packed full of info and personality! read more

Nice place but too expensive & pizza was bland... literally no flavor and wings only came in mild. Would never return or recommend to anyone. read more

This service here is AWFUL! Ordered on the app at 5p - mentioned it would be delivered at 6p! 6:03p I get a text message - saying cancelled! Wtf - cancelled after I was confirmed. Tried calling - lines were busy. Two hours later - someone answered - sorry we were busy so we just cancelling orders. Who does that? Never ordering from this place again! Stay away! read more

Pizza tasted like cardboard, very bland. Unfortunate because its so nearby and convenient

I'm in Arizona on vacation, with a bunch of Chicago natives. We decided to order this to the hotel. I will say I'm seeing a lot of reviews that are negative about the brick and mortar establishment, and I can't comment on that because I haven't seen it or been inside, but delivery was great. It's exactly what we wanted in a late night pizza, but a step above the normal delivery options. It's got a little bit deeper crust, but I wouldn't call it deep dish. The cheese and the sauce were so good. Also for the amount of cheese and sauce that are on there the crust is really thick and crisp, which is important to hold it all up, and can be held with one hand. Also, what is really important for me with Pizza, eating a cold slice the next day. We threw it in the mini fridge and got to have a few slices the next day and it was just as good, if not slightly better. (I think you have to be in to call Pizza for this to ring true). read more

Absolute trash. Ordered pizza and lemon pepper chicken strips. They must have run out of strips and instead gave me nuggets, that were likely Kirkland brand from Costco down the street. Zero seasoning, just fried nuggets. Threw them all away. Pizza was 2 out of 5. read more

Ok pizza but slow and expensive. It took over 30 minutes for our pizzas. They were the deep dish Chicago style and were pretty good, but not great. Big blobs of grainy soggy cheese and too much toppings were not spread out. $70 for a small personal size and a medium. read more

Plenty of parking, lots of booth and family style dining area. We went there early dinner so less people at that time later that day the place got crowded. Our waiter is Austin so friendly he suggests food recommendation like the must have chicken wings super yummy perfect side for the world's famous deep dish pizza. It's my first time eating here, but I highly recommend their delicious amazingly fresh ingredients pizza not salty like other pizza restaurants. With regards to the pasta you can really taste the fresh herbs they put in the dish and how aromatic it smells. We definitely enjoy our food experience. Huge portions to share to with your group. read more

Pizza is not good. Hot honey is just overpowered by jalapeños, and the pizza crust is rubbery hard and pizza was not cut into slices. Stay away. Update: after careful consideration, this is indeed the worst pizza I've had in my life. Even the cookies are bad. Note: had nothing to do with delivery, the "pizza" arrived quickly and was hot. read more

We were so @issed, this place sucks. I am from Indianapolis, I know what Chicago pizza is. I love it. This is NOT Chicago pizza. Not cooked, absolutely crap , my son was pissed with me for ordering here. I wanted something different, bad choice. Never going back, last time. read more

Service was amazing, but the pizza was not. The crust was completely doughy (very undercooked) the vegetables were absolutely waterlogged on the "Lou". Both pizzas were a disappointment. Of the six colleagues not one enjoyed their meal. I'm glad I had thought of sides and deserts! I feel it is relevant to say I am familiar with and love Chicago deep dish and recognize it is quite heavy compared to other pizzas, it however should not sit in ones stomach like lead. read more

Cute little shop in Arcadia that we wanted to love but unfortunately can't say we did. We got a large thin crust veggie pizza, and added sausage. I'm glad we ordered the sausage because that's the only thing you could really taste on this pizza. The red sauce was so bland, and the veggies didn't have any crunch or kick to them, we quite honestly couldn't even figure out what vegetables were actually on it... besides sautéed onions? Which was just weird and added to the mush and blandness. Not to mention it was 45+ bucks for a large pizza, which seems steep. Sadly, we will not be back read more

If you like deep dish, then they make a good pizza but if you like a thin crust, beware. Twice now the thin crust has been hard as a rock. I asked a chef friend & he said it is probably that the crust was made & sat there or it was just overcooked. Also, the beef sandwich is very good but the bread is awful. Ours was so small a piece & soaked it appeared to be an afterthought or what was left over from a larger loaf. One botched meal is bad enough but a second is just to much to consider returning. read more

Lou Malnati's Pizza This location is take out only. During covid19 pandemic take out only is the best option to be safe. Deep Dish Sausage and Mushrooms Butter Crust is a must. The sausage is great and butter crust is no other option. Have to say, this location tasted very similar to the locations in Chicago. Was pleasantly surprised with the quality and taste of the deep dish pizza. Will definitely come back to this location. read more

I never had a bad pizza from Lou's until last night. I ordered a small Lou's well done but what I received was a soggy, tasteless pizza. It wasn't well done but instead the crust tasted like it was not even cooked long enough and the toppings were awful. Threw half of it out. Extremely disappointed with what I received. read more

Salad was not good with vinegar and soggy croutons. Pizza was a total disappointment. Ordered 1 sausage and 1 pepperoni small deep dish. Both pizza had concrete over baked crusts. The sauce was red and thin. The only thing I remember about pizzas is that they were both the worst we've ever had. read more

It was our go-to pizza spot, however, after our recent experience, we'll likely never go back. We placed an order at 2:00p for a 5:00p pick up. This was on Halloween night, which coincided with a World Series game, so we expected it to be busy and to be a little late. Unfortunately, our experience was much worse. We arrived at 4:45 for a 5:00p pick-up, which was a simple thin crust cheese and a small Lou's classic. The lobby was full of people waiting, so obviously they were behind. The issue wasn't as much the wait as it was the lack of communication and the manager who hung out two young women employees to dry in the front and withstand the brunt of a lobby full of angry patrons. It ended with me leaving at 6:15p, no pizzas in hand, no refund because they were too busy to refund...and they wrote my name down on a post-it note. Two days later, no refund, and when we called right when they opened...with no World Series game happening, the manager is "too busy" to speak. We've been weekly customers for several years and due to this and the awful approach by the manager, we probably won't deal with it again. It's good - but expensive and poorly run, so we'll go to a place down the street with a manager/owner who cares and pizza is half the price. read more

In these Covid times, it seems like everything you purchase is either going up in price or portions downsized as part of shrinkflation. It starts to make one paranoid. Well, I ordered a large The Malnati Chicago Classic to treat my parents visiting from out of town. It is my Lou's favorite. However, I don't remember it being almost $35 with tax. I have eaten countless true Chicago Style pizzas in the actual Windy City. The Chicago Style pizzas are known for a flaky, buttery crust, a layer of hefty amount of cheese and then topped with sausage and red sauce. The pizza is still delicious! The sausage is light and not overly spicy. The crust so tasty you even enjoy the vertical crust edge. Get extra parmesan to shake on top. Yet, I was left wondering when I first opened the box if the amount of cheese and sausage/sauce had been corporately downsized. Instead of the red sauce going edge to edge, it fell two inches short all the way around. Then, when cut, it didn't seem as thick as it once was. It might have just been my hungry eyes deceiving me. Will I be back? Definitely. However, I don't find it the exceptional value I once did. read more

This is just what the Doctor ordered. I was staying at a resort with no car and I had them postmates me a classic Pepperoni and Sausage. Shit was SO good. Haven't had Lou's in quite a while and I needed it. They gave my pizza away to someone else so the delivery took about 2 hours. They also didn't send napkins, a fork/knife, they didn't cut it (like I'd asked) and they forgot my drink. I was so pissed for 10secs but then I started eating my pizza and totally forgot about that. Although I'm sure the hotel cleaner was mad at me because I left such a mess behind but idgaf. Thanks Lou's! read more

This is an attractive pizza place in a nice area. However, there is no indoor seating, it's strictly takeout. I like my crust how I like my woman- thick. I admittedly have a love/hate relationship with Lou's. I love how delicious the thick crust pizza is, but I hate how heavy it is. I ordered a medium pizza, enough for 2 (or breakfast the next day). I ate half and felt like I swallowed a bowling ball. Absolutely delicious, but not an every week pizza for sure. read more

Ugh Lou Malnati's! I so badly want to like it but it's just not good. I got lured in via the pics (which all look amazing!) but I ended up disappointed. I had Lou Malnati's in Chicago when I went back in 2016 and I didn't enjoy it. I was wishing I had gone to Gino's instead. But that was years ago. So I was surprised to see Lou Malnati's here in Scottsdale after I moved here a few months ago. I've been trying to find a great pizza shop here in Scottsdale (I had soooo many faves back home in Ohio!). So I figured I'd give Lou's another try-- especially since the pics looked mouthwatering. I appreciate that you can get a personalized pizza. It's the perfect size-- and my fave size to get when it's just me wanting to treat myself with a to-go pie. The ease of ordering on their website was also a plus. When I pulled up, the employee outside was fast and friendly. Everything I listed above is great and all....but when the pizza doesn't actually taste good, I just cannot rate it anything more than 2 stars. I just don't enjoy the sauce--it's not flavorful enough. The crust is also lacking flavor and could use more butter, garlic, etc. I just can't see myself going back here and it's definitely not on my list for my trip to Chicago next month either. Still searching for my go-to pizza shop here in Scottsdale, so I'll take any recommendations! read more

I am giving this 2 stars for the service. We went during lunch time during the week- it wasn't busy at all. Our waitress seemed to just be going through the motions. She would come by to ask me how my food was but then walk away MID SENTENCE ( hello). She really had no concerns if I liked the pizza or NOT, can you say RUDE? I felt as if we were a inconvenience to her.... Still speechless! As far as the pizza it was good, I'm from the mid-west so I love pizza. It's hard to find a good deep dish out here and I love how saucy & cheesy it was. read more

Pretty damn good pizza! The most authentic Chicago deep dish pizza I think I ever had outside Chicago. Liked the thin crust pizza for the classic style of pizza.
