Over the years, my wife and I have enjoyed visits to Sauce for some good pizza, salad, and pasta. We have visited various locations though this is the closest locations to where my wife lived when we started dating. We have ordered food to go and also ordered it to eat in the restaurant. We have ordered for lunch and for dinner. We started going when Sauce was part of the Fox Restaurants and continued even after it went independent. I have enjoyed their garlic knots (which are served with warm marinara sauce), Classic Caesar salad (with house-made croutons and shaved parmesan), and the Mozzarella, Fontina, and Basil pizza with either chicken and/or pineapple added as toppings. I have also tried the Chicken Caesar and Parmesan pizza (which is a white pizza topped with a chicken caesar salad and grape tomatoes). They also change their menus on occasion or add special menus. For instance, right now, they have the BOGO free promotion for pepperoni and cheese pizzas every Monday in October. This is the 7th Street - Glendale location, which is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 AM to 9 PM and Friday through Saturday from 11 AM to 10 PM. They accept online ordering and online catering. We order take out from here every other week and there has been a noticeable and dramatic shift in the service in the past few months. Last weekend we went in for our usual take out order and it was the second time in a row, and third in four where an item was totally missing. The server forgot butter with the rolls & the parm and red pepper as well, which isn't the end of the world but again just a change in how things used to be. It's now our fault and responsibility to check that we received what we ordered. But the thing I can't shake is I went to order two cannoli's and I was starring at the menu for $3 each, and they rang up for $4. I pointed this out to the hostess and she said "yeah, I don't know why it says $3. They're $4. Do you still want them?" Just like that. It was such a strange "I don't care" response. I hate to sound like an old person yelling at the clouds but we come here consistently FOR THE CONSISTENCY, Sauce is one of the few food apps I actually have and use and we always tip. Sauce is decent. I mostly frequent it out of convenience. The mac n cheese is pretty good. Caesar salad is good. I dont find either the best but they suffice. Mostly I order s pizza with meatball topping. Its not my favorite pizza but again I dont hate it. Ironically I find the pizza lacks enough sauce. Its a bit too dry. Im a repeat customer however. First time at this location. Came in on Labor Day. They had a good special. &9 cheese or $12 specialty pizza. We ordered the sausage and caramelized onion . Also the chicken and apple salad and the bruschetta. Everything delicious. My only " complaint" would be that the pizza came out first..... long before the salad and Bruschetta. Sauce never ceases to amaze me. their pizza is seriously so good. Obviously i think it's the sauce but it's genuinely so good and the crust as well which just complement each other so well. The salad isn't 5/5 but it is pretty solid. The service is always good and quick and it seems like the employees are usually enjoying themselves which always adds. First off, it's important to know that the price for their cookie on their online menu was incorrect. This company should double check their menu items to ensure that the correct information is displayed. Although the food was of above average quality, they forgot to include a piece of bread that is supposed to come with all pasta orders. I would say that the argula was the best part of my pizza. I think it's either odd (or a flat out mistake) that argula is not one of the toppings you can choose in their online portal. The quantity of food is also not as much as you would get at any other pizza chain unfortunately. The total cost of my order was $27.15. read more

The pizza was burnt, lacked any real flavor. Garlic knots doughy and small as if they had forgotten to let them rise. The salad was nothing but a bunch of arugula's and a couple of croutons, and the panini was more bread and lettuce than meat. This was 50 bucks down the drain. To top it off, when you order online the ordering system automatically adds a 20% tip with the option of more. My favorite is the roasted vegetable and my second favorite is the quinoa and roasted beet salad! Always fresh and have plenty of toppings so you forget you're eating a salad! I prefer to get a deal when hitting up a place around noon. I think it would be great to order a 1/2 order of pasta/salad or something like that. The pizza was fine. I wasn't given an option for hand-tossed or thin crust. It just defaulted to thin crust (which I like, but would've liked if they asked). Sauce was a delightful place to enjoy lunch with friends after a grueling hike up Piestewa Peak. I have been really impressed with all of the other Fox Restaurant Concepts, so I was excited to finally try Sauce and see if it was on par with the others. Short answer: YES, this fresh Italian restaurant has something unique and delicious to offer! It's not on the menu, but here's a little secret a friend shared: You can create your own half and half lunch combo! I ordered a half salad and bowl of soup which was perfect! The Tuscan Tomato Soup was warm, full of flavor and perfect for dipping the complimentary warm bread roll. The Golden Beet Salad with Quinoa, pistachios, avocado, goat cheese and other amazing goodness was in a word DELICIOUS! Seriously, if you like beets - you have to try this salad! You can thank me later ;) The service here was great. Staff were friendly - even came over to ask how our hike was and about my friend's FitBit fitness band. During one of our visits we decided on two different specialty pizzas to try out and I have to say that it was more than enough for the two of us and then some. We ended up boxing up a couple of slices from each of them and taking it home with us. Next go-round we were more well informed and decided on sharing a pizza with half and half toppings so we could both get the style we like most, but still share. Since we were sure to share the main dish, we were able to get the Tiramisu for dessert. There isn't much interaction with staff at these locations after your initial order at the front cashier. Someone brings out your meal, but drinks and all else are up to you. The cashiers on both visits were nice enough and seemed to move the line quickly. Overall: B+ Definitely A-OK! read more
