Went back to watch game and have a bite. House salad shared and fabulous Nachos were great. Asked to sub grilled chicken for buttermilk fried chicken. No problem and quite happy with meal.

Our favorite dinner spot when in Long Beach. Love the casual atmosphere of the Roo. This restaurant is large enough for parties of 2 or 15. Full bar and bar seating. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Food and drinks arrive quickly. I try to get something different every time I'm here. So this time I tried the crab melt sandwich. The pub salad that came with it was delicious! It had cranberries, feta cheese and sunflower seeds paired with a raspberry vinaigrette. The sandwich was amazing! The crab was fresh!! Sold at market value and the bread was homemade focaccia. Warm and tasty! The drinks don't disappoint either. My old fashioned was one of the strongest I've ever had so be careful. If you're looking for a great dinner spot for a weekend get away of family dinner stop in. You'll be glad you did and maybe this will become one of your favorite places like it is mine.

What went well? The service was excellent! They changed the fish and chips, no more cod, now rock fish only. I loved the cod, fresh tasting and flaky! I could smell the rockfish coming out of the kitchen. Instead of cod chunks, it's now a couple of thin fillets. They smelled so fishy I couldn't eat them! The server was so kind, I said I would pay for the fish and chips but I had to order something else. She took the fish off the bill and I ordered some awesome chicken wings! This was my favorite place for fish, but no longer. Enjoyed it immensely when it was cod! I'll be back for other items, the prime rib is great!!!

When checking into our hotel and asking for a place to eat dinner he told us about this restaurant so we had to try it and are so happy we did! Four of us were there and ordered a couple salads, a cod sandwich and bruschetta and each of us really enjoyed our dinners. Lots of people there and it just felt good. We were in the restaurant where there were 2 large screen TVs and my brother-in-law' and I watched the Chiefs game while eating. We all enjoyed the images of kangaroos in the restaurant as well. Rachel is an excellent server with a good sense of humor who we talked with when she was at the table taking our orders, checking to see all was good and bringing our checks.

The Lost Roo has consistently served up great food with great service. The restaurant is spacious, with patio dining available, too, when the inside gets too crowded. The service is always friendly, attentive and fast. We went for Valentine's Day cause everywhere else needed a reservation and we had just waited to long to decide we wanted to go out to dinner! Even though the place was packed, we were immediately seated. My husband got the rib eye steak with a side of grilled prawns special. The steak was cooked to medium perfection. It was a nice sized, tender piece of meat. My husband did say some garlic herb butter on top would have finished it off nicely, but that was the only "criticism " he could offer. The prawns were fresh and sublime. He was pleased and full. I decided on a cup of their Fisherman's Chowder and it is delicious! Chock full of all the good things, and flavorful. If you like clam chowder, you'd probably enjoy this. I also chose the Harvest Salad with chicken, feta cheese, apples, bacon, avocado and mixed greens. It came in a huge bowl and did not disappoint. You won't be dissatisfied by choosing to eat at The Lost Roo. Definitely a place to try out when you visit Long Beach, Wa.

Had lunch here, French dip with fries. Tasted really good. Fast and friendly server. Restroom was clean and stocked. Large split dining room with a lot of seating. Plenty of parking, lot will fit RVs.

The roo here isn't wandering aimlessly... but could be considered lost. I came in with low expectations... I simply take to what fellow Yelp Elite opinions say. For me I came away feeling satisfied because I came in with lower than usual expectations. Positives: the seafood tasted fresh. Really large clams, nicely cooked shrimp in the gumbo, fresh tasting chowder. Improvements: that gumbo sauce while fine, was more salty than my liking. The clams sauce grew on me but others felt it was salty as well. Oddly the best item was the tuna tower and while not perfect, beats the combo of items if found in the grocery deli. Lava cake was fine.... Whipped cream was clearly from a can but not surprised. The young gentleman serving us (with the reverse NIKE cap) knew what he was doing and attentive and it was appreciated. All that being said, it's a large space, hopping, and a rather well oiled machine in tourist part of Long Beach.

I came in during dinner hours with my coworker while we were traveling for work. I ordered the spicy ahi tuna tower, and it was really good! Overall, a solid dining experience.

Good food, reasonably priced. I am gluten free and they were able to accommodate me, with several options.

Do they allow dogs at their outdoor seating area?

Never seen an outdoor eating area. There is an enclosed porch kind of area and I've never seen dogs in there. I hope they don't allow them cause it is an enclosed restaurant. Doesn't appear dog friendly.

A coastal hideaway worth the experience, flaws and all:…read more Before anything else: Alyssa was our server, and she was fantastic. Warm, attentive, genuinely friendly in a way that felt human instead of rehearsed. When we paused for family prayer at the table, she didn't hover awkwardly or disappear, she joined us. That kind of moment doesn't show up on a menu, but it shapes the entire meal. It's the difference between being served and being welcomed. Mother's Day dinners are usually built on sentiment first, food second. The Pickled Fish is the rare place that reminds you why people keep chasing the ritual anyway. Perched above the grey Pacific, it feels less like a polished fine-dining machine and more like a slightly rebellious coastal hideaway, comfort, ambition, salt air, and wine colliding somewhere between elegance and controlled chaos. Some dishes arrived nearly complete, others still searching for themselves. But every plate carried sincerity, and that's rare in modern dining rooms obsessed with performance over pleasure. Burrata with Cashew Pesto, Arugula & Lemon Zest: A genuinely good dish trying to claw its way out of the plate. Peppery arugula, earthy-sweet pesto, indulgent burrata. But it lacks tension, the lemon should cut through the fat like a straight razor and barely shows up. The olive oil disappears when it should be carrying part of the conversation. And the sourdough eats like a sandwich slice instead of an appetizer; smaller bruschetta-style cuts would change the whole experience. The foundation is there. It just needs editing. Kind Stranger "Alter" 2023 Red Blend Drinks like someone trying hard not to make another predictable Pacific Northwest red, and mostly succeeding. Black cherry, plum skin, dry cacao, a little amaro bitterness lingering at the back. No syrupy jam bomb, no over-oaked vanity. Slightly rough around the edges in a way that suggests actual people made it. Not profound, but honest, and honesty travels farther than perfection. Pork Schnitzel with Sautéed Asparagus (substituted), Roasted Fingerlings & Onion Gravy: The dish of the night. No foam, no tweezers, no lecture about deconstruction. Just a properly fried cutlet that shatters under the knife, earthy fingerlings, fresh asparagus, and a deep savory onion gravy that complements instead of suffocates. The asparagus substitution, by the way, was handled cleanly, no pushback, no fuss, which says something about a kitchen that respects the diner instead of the ego of the menu. One sharp note of acidity, a brighter mustard, sharper pickle, lemon over the schnitzel, would push it from "very good comfort food" to memorable. But maybe that's the point. It isn't trying to be revolutionary. It's trying to make you happy for an hour. And it succeeds. Cinnamon Bread Pudding with Bourbon, Dates & D'Anjou Pears: The kind of dessert that makes you understand why people romanticize cold weather. Warm, fragrant, grounded by bourbon's dark caramel depth. Dates melt in like brown sugar with a pulse, pears add lift, and the compote is almost sinful. Unlike most bread puddings that collapse into wet cement, this one keeps structure at the edges and stays custardy in the center. My one critique: the bread itself runs a little thin. More of it would give the dish the heft it deserves and let the bourbon, dates, and compote have something substantial to anchor to. As is, it's excellent, but it's a few ounces of bread away from unforgettable. Cardamom Chocolate Panna Cotta with Espresso Chantilly: This dessert does not whisper. Cardamom hits first, floral, spicy, mysterious, then chocolate settles in underneath like wet velvet. The panna cotta is technically excellent, trembling at the edge of collapse with every spoonful. It's heavy, no question, but the espresso keeps the chocolate from going sleepy and the cardamom keeps it interesting. The dessert equivalent of an after-hours jazz bar, dark, warm, luxurious, just slightly excessive. Not every night. But tonight? Absolutely. Bottom line: Not flawless, but sincere, and that's the whole point. Great service from Alyssa, a kitchen that cooks with conviction, and a room that lets the meal breathe. Worth the drive, worth the wine, worth lingering until the coast disappears outside the windows.

The salmon entree was a really small portion and overcooked, only a few brussel sprouts on the plate. The rigatoni was very basic and the added crab was an extremely small amount for the added price. My recommendation is have a drink and appetizer and skip the entree.
