The fantastic Luz Natural Mexican Lager!
    Alden C.

Breakside Brewery has always provided an excellent beer experience for Steve and myself and we weren't aware that they opened this location in Astoria. We have been to the Portland locations more than once so this was a pleasant surprise for sure! For beer this time around I got the Luz Natural which is a wonderful and refreshing Mexican Lager. I enjoyed this one so much and I rated it quite highly on my account for Untappd. Flavors to find with this beer crisp, clean and a nice breadiness that made this beer so infectious. This beer is nice and light bodied and effervescent. We also purchased the Cheers to the Land which is a Harvest Lager with flavor elements of floral, honey, hoppiness and a clean aftertaste. This beer is nice and light bodied as well which more often than not what I desire most days anymore. Another great beer experience with Breakside Brewery and I can't wait to come back!

My wife and I split the pulled pork sandwich and mac & cheese with smoked mushrooms on top. Absolutely phenomenal! Would absolutely order it again! The beer was outstanding! The long shadows, dark Pilsner, was amazing!

Such kind service and great food! Loved the peach bourbon cider and the palomas were only $10. Absolutely devoured the lobster and crab rolls that came with potato chips. Cute cornhole outside and also dog friendly!

Today I had a pint of there helles Lager and it was refreshing. I also tried the dungeness crab roll. It was tasty and the crab tasted fresh, but it's a bit small for the price.

    We love Breakside beers!

We're regulars at Breakside in Portland, so we're super excited when we heard they officially opened up their Astoria location just in time for Memorial Day weekend. Really nice, sunny location right behind Fort George, with parking, patio seating, roll-up doors, and dog-friendly! Great atmosphere, service, beers, and food! Can't wait to be back!!

This establishment was recommended to me by a local. Laid back local brewery with delicious homemade food. I tried the tri tip sandwich (smoked in house) and the mac and cheese. Incredible. Break side IPA is a great citrus forward west coast IPA (bitter and hoppy), also tried the berry cider. Will come back here again when I pass through Astoria.

Anytime you are in Astoria you have to take the time to check this place out. Great chowder! Great drinks and great atmosphere. Vibes were 10/10. Astoria is a magical place. This place feels authentic to that magic

Breakside has made it to Astoria! Great selection of beers on tap as well as amazing cocktails. Kudos on the menu which sets itself apart from other brewery offerings. They've taken advantage of their location on the coast and access to fresh seafood. The oysters were delish. The staff is super friendly and attentive. Great food, service and beer. Don't miss Breakside when in Astoria!

We had a great oysters, crab roll and freshly squeezed margaritas. A sunny day and it doesn't get better than that.

It's really fast and efficient. It's def a brew pub. The pizza part upstairs is closed for today. Had the best beer called Divinity ( Marionberry wheat beer) yummy. Chick beer lol. The fish n chips is Albacore Tuna. I had the oysters n chips, John and mom had fish n chips. One bowl of seafood chowder to share was delish. It had everything in it! Including fish too. We are so full but satisfied.. I did want to try the sourdough bread pudding with warm fruit and whip to share... maybe next time. It was really busy in here on a Friday afternoon. We even had to wait for. Table to leave. Glad we came. I bet they roll up the bay doors when it's summer!

The only negative experience was with the guy seating us upstairs, he definitely had a bit of an attitude. We ordered a 16" half Almighty and half Margherita pizza along with a Caesar salad. The pizza was really good overall, although they definitely could've put more cheese on the Margherita side because it felt a little skimpy. Still very tasty though. The Caesar salad unfortunately tasted really old, but our server was fantastic, apologized immediately, and removed it from the bill without issue. Great customer service honestly made a big difference. Overall, I'd definitely come back!

One spot had a different name but if you chatted to somebody there they told you they were affiliated with this brewery. So this was the location I didn't go to but finally made it to after a number of years. Steve and I enjoyed our brewery experience pretty well and enjoyed the taproom as we could take a peek at the brewing tanks over a banister. I had the Nowhere Land Vienna Lager which I enjoyed quite a bit. It's flavor highlights were malty, hoppy and a nice toastiness to it. It's bright in color which is a usual trademark for these types of lagers. It was a pleasant return to Astoria Brewing and I wouldn't mind more return visits on future trips to the lovely town of Astoria.

There is something on the menu for everyone. This is a taproom, so, there are plenty of local beers to choose from, but they also serve root beer in glass mugs The staff was helpful and patient, and the service was quick. Everyone enjoyed their order. The meals come on these almost plate trays which looks cool, but without a lip fries, onion rings, etc can easily fall off The atmosphere was lively, but not too loud. The park on and open air concept had tables facing the water. There is also a handful of little stores throughout the restaurant with souvenir style options. There aren't servers that take care of individual tables, you will be told your table number when you sit down sand you will order food and drink from the bar. The drinks and food will be brought to your table Some tips: Definitely try one of their many local beer options. Also, if you're an onion ring fan you should substitute them in for your sides. Typically a restaurant will give you like 5-7 big onion rings, but they have over a dozen stacked onion rings. Take some beers to go (cans are available for sale) Cheers!!

The set up here is quite interesting and comes very close to a one stop shop. It has part convenience store and beer bar all wrapped into one and the tap list of beer is pretty extensive. Lots of local or PNW area beers on tap but they also have some exclusive beers of their own that I almost missed. I was ready to go but Steve pointed this out to me so we got a beer here after all. I liked the tucked away seating and at the time we were there there wasn't anyone else having a beer so the peace and quiet was appreciated. The beer that we had was a lager and it was okay. It was apparently brewed out of Bend, Oregon but I am not sure if another brewery does this for them or not. The flavor highlights with this lager is a breadiness and somewhat of a clean aftertaste. It was fair but it kind of gave me the impression of a big corporate beer as I didn't see much personality to it in the flavor profile. But other than that I did enjoy my first visit to a Growler Guys and as the name implies you can bring in a Growler Bottle and select from the wide list of beers to enjoy.
