I think I found another awesome beer place in Astoria. I usually frequent Fort George but I think I'll have to now save some room to stop at both there and here when I'm in town. The unique fridge beer is awesome. Lots of dark beers which is what I love. They of course have other light beers too. A great selection. Loved the inside and dogs are welcome inside. Perfect cozy indoor spot to enjoy some brews. Dog lover paradise as well. We feel like we hit the lottery finding Bridge & Tunnel! I feel like we often have to compromise on food quality to get great beer, but not at Bridge & Tunnel. This gem welcomes outside food and fur babies inside! We picked up our favorite fish and chips and saddled up at bar stools. Huge selection of beers. Husband enjoyed a couple dark beers and brought home a grocery bag of all the amazing finds he found in the fridge as well. Friendly staff and do expect it's a small but mighty space. Update: 4/16/24 This update is long overdue. Bridge & Tunnel is such a cool bottleshop and taproom, with an even more awesome owner, Dwayne! Not sure which beer on tap to choose? Just tell Dwayne your preferences, and he'll steer you in the right direction. We moved out to the WA coast full time in the summer of 2022. I make a trek over to 'B&T' at least once a week - a local board game group convenes there every Thursday night for beers and board gaming. The cooler is well stocked, and Dwayne has a lot of hard to find beers. Personally, I'm drawn to heavy stouts, and the selection never disappoints. If you need some food while you're engaged in imbibing some amazing brews, you can bring in outside food, and there are a few great food trucks parked right across the street. All in all, this is one of the most excellent places to grab a beer in a town that prides itself on having access to great craft beers. read more

Bridge & Tunnel is by far my favorite place to drink beer. Dwayne keeps the taps rotating with tons of local and regional beers and ciders. There are coolers with beers from all over the US in every style you could think of that you can purchase to go or have poured to drink while you're there. Upstairs is a tv with retro video games and a bunch of board games. If you have any questions about beer, Dwayne can tell you everything you need to know. He's super friendly and extremely knowledgeable which makes this a great place for people new to craft beer, or those that are into the culture already. A charming little bottle shop in a great reclaimed space right in town. There's a nice airy bright space up front with 3 good-sized coolers full of bottles. They REALLY get good beers, both in package and on draft. It's not a retreaded selection from a supermarket, by any means--these are interesting releases that don't always make it into every store, all carefully selected. There's more room in back, and some nice lived-in carpentry here and there. The staff is probably usually the guy who seems like he owns the joint, and he clearly knows his stuff. He seems like a fun dude to have some beers with, too. If you're a beer freak and you planned a long stay in Astoria and you forget to bring any bottles, you'll be fine. This is absolutely one of my favorite spots, bottle shops, and visits. I have been here a total of 4 or 5 times and I would never miss an opportunity to check them out. The owner is cool as hell and has an awesome glass. The beer he is able to get is amazing. I dont know how he does it, but he is able to bring over to the west coast beer I have only seen on instagram. The prices are fair. The beer is treated well and never taste like it has turned. I say this because the only other distributor of beer like this is an online app and every beer I got from the app last time joined the drain club because it was either bad or had that metallic turned taste. Just peeking in the window to see what was inside, the man behind the counter greeted us with a warm smile. We walked in and he immediately took our order. Pretty lively place. You can tell this is a spot that the locals come to often. Large groups, and everyone was chatting with everyone else. We opted to take our drinks upstairs as we saw a boxing match showing that we were actually recording at home. Heading up the stairs, we found a cool little space for friends to relax and unwind with comfy seating, games and a TV. This place has a good variety of wine, beer and some cider available to drink on site or take home. Highly recommend stopping in. read more

Owners selections would do credit to any town, but to find various Ale Apothecary beers, Finn River ciders, several Crux beers from Bend, several Pfriem and Ferment beers from Hood River, several Firestone Walkers, 22 taps, Mother of All Storms, all in Astoria just knocks me out. This is not at all an exhaustive list - the variety of superb NW beers and ciders, all stored cold, is really impressive. Couldn't leave without a can of one of my favorite IPAs from Corvallis, Sticky Hands, for an after dinner dessert. Great friendly personable owner. What an unexpected delight! read more

Great bottle selection, which I ignored, because they have a great selection of Oregon and Washington (and Michigan?) beer on tap. We had a sampler of saisons and cider (sour cider, OMG) that we're a delight. The purveyor brewed a dark Saison with some Washingtonians that is like dark chocolate...unexpected, complex, delicious.
