I love the Lost Bean! Been coming here for years and the staff is always welcoming and helpful. It's a great spot to study or catch up with friends. They also have the Lost Vine which turns into a wine bar after 6 pm on some evenings. There's lots of seating indoors and they also have a couple outdoor tables. Parking is not too challenging as they are in a lot that is crowded but not impossible. The sausage breakfast burrito is my favorite, it's a great pick to split or eat over a couple hours while studying. Sadly, I think I might be done with Lost Bean. I've been coming here off and on for almost 8 years. The breakfast burrito with bacon and the La Paz are my go-to items, and that's what I ordered when I stopped in on 4/5/26. Total was $22.93, and this time the splurge was definitely not worth it. Despite being not very busy, the wait for my order was long. When I got home I realized that my La Paz was basically just a plain latte. The barista had forgotten to add the caramelized sugar. Kind of hard to fathom since that's the entire basis of the La Paz. Then I bit into the burrito. What a disappointment! It was the blandest thing I've ever tasted. Not a single bit of flavor. I don't even think there was salt or pepper in there. The roasted red potatoes that made Lost Bean burritos stand out had been replaced with soggy, flavorless shredded potatoes. I can't even call them hash browns because there was no crispy brown to be found, just squishy white shreds. Pretty sure I won't be craving the breakfast burrito or La Paz again. :( read more

I came in today with a friend and had a really nice experience. Per usual, I asked several questions to the barista to know the ins and outs of the drinks. She was knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. In addition to a wide variety of drinks, they also offer snacks and meals, although the vegan options are extremely limited, with not a single pastry being plant based. I was eyeing the Chia pudding with berries and the cups of fruit but didn't indulge this time. I hope they'll add more vegan options in the future! We both settled on the house made strawberry Matcha (I ordered mine with less strawberry so it would be less sweet), which includes a strawberry purée with sugar, milk of choice (chose unsweetened almond milk), and ceremonial grade Matcha. The drinks were delicious, although I would have preferred it even less sweet! I also really like that they use crushed ice in the drink. The downside is that the Lost Bean charges $1 for nondairy milk, which is steep, especially considering my typical drink is a cappuccino or flat white which uses minimal amount of milk. It ends up making the customized drinks quite expensive for a caffeinated beverage. I tried their banana matcha latte (with almond milk) at the baristas suggestion and it was so delicious, the cream top isn't too heavy and the latte itself wasn't too sweet and had a good matcha taste. My boyfriend always gets a nitro cold brew from them and says it's 10/10. The egg didn't taste like anything, I paid extra for the sausage and that didn't taste like anything either, and the salsa added nothing. The best description is that it didn't taste like anything. Hidden in this center is the Lost Bean, which is quite a modern looking little coffee shop that serves organic coffees and teas. They also have a traditional pastry case and a quiche case along with a breakfast and lunch menu. There's take away snacks available too. This is such a great find. The coffee is on the lighter side and the breakfast burrito I ordered was quickly prepared. The indoor space was very comfortable and people were actually talking to each other. They are also attached to a wine bar with offers additional seating. Outdoor seating is also available. Great service. The girls in the front were so helpful! We come here regularly on a Wednesday after the Tustin Farmers Market. Choose the one-hour parking in the middle of the lot or the 30-minute parking in front of the café. My wife and daughter like the breakfast sandwich; for me the brioche bun is a bit oily so that I must clean my hands after eating. Try the eggs sunny-side up OR scrambled in this sandwich. My daughter asks them to replace turkey sausage with bacon, which is delightfully crisp. They no longer offer mixed vegetables as a sandwich add-on. I like the avocado toast and breakfast quesadilla! The quiches are stored in a display case and then reheated, which is typical for a quiche, but I tend to prefer the items made to order. Drinks: they have been open for YEARS and still haven't found that bean :) Dang. To fund the search, I like to order a zebra mocha or monkey mocha. Worst Blended matched I've ever received! Totally watery because my Blended includes ice

I was having a caffeine withdrawal and it was a hot sunny day. I really NEEDED an iced latte. I stopped by The Lost Bean at their Tustin location before I hopped onto the road, and they were super busy. Most of the tables were filled indoor and outdoors, and there was a long line. Nevertheless staff seems to be fairly efficient to crank out the lattes. I am a sucker for seasonal specials, and I went with a 16oz iced Taro Milk Latte ($6.25) and had a 10% yelp check-in discount. It was interesting that they gave me my drink without the lid. It seems like something they do with the drinks here. I get it if it's a hot drink and they want to show you latte art, but the iced drinks all had one size lids. I didn't get why my drink had to come lidless. Also it was so full that my drink spilled on my way from their counter to the area where all the lids for. What a mess. On a brighter note, I really enjoyed my iced taro milk latte. I'm sad it won't be on the menu year round but I'll come back and enjoy a few more before summer ends. For anyone who is not from this area, the parking lot is crowded and some of the parking spots are tight. One of the deterrents that keeps me from frequenting businesses in this plaza. read more

This morning I had a very off-putting experience at this place. I came here to have a relaxing breakfast after a very stressful week. It's been years since I've been here and was looking forward to it. I was given a pager while waiting for my food to be ready. My pager went off (very loudly) and I walked over to get my food and juice. I left the pager on the small counter where my plate was sitting. I asked the girl working behind the counter (Gracie) about my juice and very dismissively said it's not ready. So I stood there waiting for my drink, my plate sitting there uncovered while people talked over it when asking about their orders. So I covered it with a napkin and held my plate while I waited. Meanwhile the pager still on the counter going off loudly. She came back and took the pager and rolled her eyes. Was I suppose to turn it off or drop it off somewhere else?? A minute later she's handing over a drink to a gentlemen and politely asked him if he needs a lid... my drink finally came out and was sitting on a shelf behind the counter. I got her attention and asked for my drink and told her I ordered it over ice. Rolls her eyes again. It's a 16oz juice filled to the brim yet she tried to put ice into it. I told her she needed to get a bigger cup or else it's going to spill everywhere. She gets a bigger cup and starts laughing while adding ice and transferring my juice into it. No mask on, just aerosolized her germs all over my drink. At this point I felt like I was dealing with a child. She gave me the juice and walked away, no lid. I called her back and asked for a lid and in a very short and rude manner told me where they were. My family and I use to love coming here. The staff employed back then were very helpful and pleasant and never a rude experience. What happened? This experience was a reminder why we stopped coming here. So disappointing. read more

I've been coming there for years. I have to say it's just a special place from the moment you walk in the employees greet you most of the time they know what you'd like to drink. We drove a little out of the way to try this coffee spot we found on Yelp. We are so glad we decided to check it out. First impressions were that everything was so clean and sanitary. The barista that took our order was friendly and makes some good brews. They have a huge variety of foods on the menu made to order and they also have a lot of quality items for convenience grab. There is some merch available for sale (mugs, shirts) as well as bags of organic coffee beans. We grabbed an iced ginger citrus shortbread cookie (5/5), a fruit cup, a hot matcha latte with oat milk (5/5), and an americano (also... 5/5). Couldn't resist grabbing a fresh squeezed orange juice for the morning! Indoor seating is plentiful, high chairs available for the littles, and they also have some seating outside.
