My mom and I were pretty excited to try this place and share a nice dining experience together. Before we went, I looked up the menu on their website and saw they had a good selection of pizzas/ pastas (including vegetarian options). My mom can't have meat due to health reasons so I was happy to see that she would have some choices. When we arrived, we were welcomed by friendly staff who let us pick where we wanted to sit. After looking through the menu, I realized there were no pizzas on there. We asked the waitress about it and she said they no longer had pizzas. That was a huge bummer because that limited my mom's choices for what she could actually order and I was looking forward to trying the pizza. My mom eventually ordered an alfredo pasta without meat. A bit later, the waitress came back and told us there was no pasta either and asked if my mom wanted to see the menu again. At that point, my mom and I were both taken aback wondering if there was anything on the menu that would be available for her. We asked the waitress who said that they still had salad or a veggie omelette. No shame to those options, but that was definitely not what we had come for. By then, I could tell that my mom didn't want things to get uncomfortable and just wanted to make it easy for everyone by settling for the omelette. Our food came: the presentation with the flowers was nice but the flavors were bland and did not reflect the expensive bill. I hope our experience was an outlier but I walked away feeling pretty disappointed for my mom and uneasy about the shrinking menu. read more

The Service & Amenities The service left a lot to be desired. The server felt very robotic and indifferent, failing to check on me until it was time for the bill. I also asked for the Wi-Fi password, and while the server provided it, he didn't know the correct capitalization. Even after the options I tried failed to work, he showed no interest in helping or verifying the info. It felt like he was just going through the motions without any real care for the guest experience. I noticed a similar cold vibe with the table next to me as well. We were very disappointed. It took forever to get our food because they gave our food to another table who sat down long after us. Not even an apology. Service is definitely a low priority for them. When we did get our food, the clam chowder was way over salted (over salting is because they "forgot" they already put in salt or an attempt to "hide" a below average flavor). The cheeseburger my younger daughter ordered was burnt to a crisp even though we ordered it medium. Her fries were also "soggy". The rest of the food was ok, but since it's such a hit and miss with this place, it's not worth returning to. Which is too bad since we live close to the Camarillo outlets. I predict that loru's will go belly up. Hopefully a better restaurant will take it's place. read more

PHENOMENAL service!! i love coming here for any meal if the day! this has become my fiancé and i's spot to come to every sunday or wednesday! the food is amazing, fresh, and hot! and out within 5-10 minutes of ordering if i could rate 1,000 stars i would! the staff is super super friendly and the loru's waffle, hashbrowns, and a glass of orange juice is my order always ! and it's the perfect combo, the hash browns are the best i've ever had, great, loving, comfort food that does leave you feeling sick like dennys or ihop,and the staff treats you like family! tables and seats are always super clean, and they even allow good behaved dogs on the patio! My family and I visited Loru's Cafe during a less busy time, but unfortunately, the ambiance felt cramped with tables close together. We waited for about 30 minutes for our food, which turned out to be disappointing. The teriyaki burger was served cold without the teriyaki sauce, and the BBQ burger also arrived cold with unappetizing BBQ sauce, patty, and onion rings. Even the usually reliable club sandwich tasted strange. To add to the disappointment, my mom, a vegetarian, received a chilaquiles plate with meat in it, which was not on the menu. The service wasn't great either, as the waitress didn't check on us, and the employees seemed preoccupied at the back. Overall, I wouldn't recommend wasting time or money at this place. read more

the ambiance of the restaurant was very nice and inviting, the moment we walked in it was a bit busy but took no more than 15 minutes to be seated for breakfast! the waiters were super friendly and helpful as it was our first time here. they let us know what was popular and recommended if it's your first time there, had drinks on our table within a good time manner. food was excellent, very tasty. i ordered the breakfast burrito (wet) and my significant other ordered the chicharrón con chilaquiles which was enjoyable. we ended up splitting both of our plates as it was so much food. the prices were manageable, and definitely worth it. will definitely be coming back !! thank you Loru's team!! excellent work read more

7/23/22 : Didn't post a pic. We came in around 12:30PM. Food was ok. Wife ordered a steak and eggs with hash brown and I ordered a BLT sandwich. Food was okay. But here's my issue... LORU'S NAPKINS STINK AF!!! I thought it was 1 napkin so I requested another and guess what.. THAT SHIT STINKY AF TOO!!! Amazing food and amazing waiter! Definitely will be going back. Serve breakfast all day, so we had breakfast for dinner. I had Mexican pancakes and made it a combo with eggs, hash browns and bacon. I had a fantastic time at Lorus Cafe! It's the perfect place to unwind after shopping in the outlets. I tried their michelada, and it was incredibly good! The funnel cakes were a highlight, absolutely amazing. The service was top-notch, and I'm definitely planning to visit again soon. read more
