Amazing food at decent prices. Staff was decent, if overwhelmed. The place was packed, so make sure you get a reservation. Even with being first on the waitlist, it was a few minutes to being seated and even longer before being served. But it's popular for a reason, so just be aware of the waiting. The food was alright but the service was abysmal. The day we went there was only three other table with people, the waitress was great when she was taking our order, but after that she never came over to ask how the food or refill our drinks. I walked in to the new restaurant, Loru's Café and was seated at a table by the owner Jose Luis. Then I was served by Lidia. I order the Chilaquiles with a side of pancake breakfast that was very good. The coffee was extremely flavorful. I drank the whole coffee pitcher that they left on my table. And to top off the great breakfast was the freshly squeezed orange juice which was awesome! I can't wait to try the lunch and dinner menu. The Loru's team was very attentive, professional, and courteous. I wish Loru's Café success! It's a great place to stop by and have a meal and drinks anytime. Or better yet, while taking a break from shopping at the Camarillo Premium Outlets or going to the Edwards Movie Theater for date night! I'll see you there! read more

Not a fan of shopping center eateries, but this is a great exception to that rule. Lovely dining inside and out. Courteous and experienced servers. A vast selection of breakfast and brunch items to the point that you are sure that they cannot do a good job on all. I was wrong. Everything we had was great - all fresh and properly prepared. I really like this restaurant. My husband and I have eaten breakfast here twice and will keep coming back. Their food is really good. I had a veggie omelet with a cheese blintz and it was amazing. Everyone is so friendly and the service was very quick but they didn't rush you. I recommend this restaurant for breakfast. Next time I go out to lunch I am going to try them and will post a review. FRAUD ALERT! Please beware as I was hit with an additional charge after eating at this restaurant. After multiple attempts to clear it up with the "manager", it has become apparent that there is a potential scam going on with some of the employees. The restaurant has not been helpful whatsoever in the attempts to clear this up. One of the employees was even posing as the owner. Be careful when using your credit card as you could easily be victim to an additional charge. read more

An unexpected pleasant find at the Outlets. We weren't sure about going in since the place looked empty at 11:30am on a Friday, but we took a chance and are glad we did. The food was very good and the service was excellent and fast. Try the freshly squeezed orange juice, the buttermilk pancakes and the bone in ham if in the mood for breakfast. Mood for lunch try the Cesar salad chicken sandwich with its Parmesan cheese bread which was delicious. The strawberry and cookies n cream shakes were also favorites. I have had this restaurant saved for a while and finally had the opportunity to stop by with family that came to visit for the day. It did not take long for us to get our order taken. Our server was an older gentleman who I could tell from his accent and from hearing him speak to other customers as well as the cooks, that he spoke Spanish. My mother only speaks Spanish, when it was time for her to order she spoke to him in Spanish and he would respond to her in English. My mother hesitated for a bit but continued to order in Spanish. I do not understand why it was so difficult for him to just respond in both of their native language. The ordering process felt rush, he was the only server from what we saw, but there were only a few other tables to serve, it was not busy at all. When we finally get our food, my niece's food was missing. My sister let him know, and he said he had not put the order in. Food was not the greatest. My cinnamon French toast was still raw in the center which kept me from finishing it. Once we left, we realized kids ate free, yet we were still charged for my niece's meal, which he brought out late due to him forgetting to put it in. Needless to say we will not be coming back. read more

The few times we have come here it's really good shortly after opening everything was great., Today we were seated within 2min by a very friendly host and took advantage of the waitlist option which we thought was great. However that's when things took a turn, we waited 15min before a server came and took our drink order and she was very nice. She then took our food order. We never came back to the table after that. We waited over 45min for our breakfast. My food was cold and my husband didn't receive his full order. I sent the food back which I do not like to do, the gentleman was very apologetic. Another person brought food back and the order was not correct and half was still cold. The First Gentleman came back with my correct order and switched it out. The eggs and pancakes had no flavor and the hash browns were way overdone. My husband still hadn't received the flour tortillas after asking twice. He finally received them. We decided to call it quits and just pay the bill and leave. I hope this was just a little issue today and things get back on track. read more

I've been to this spot 2 times before and had an alright experience. Decided to take some work friends today and felt embarrassed when my friend and I ordered the Loru omelette that says it has ribeye meat in it and we got some random cheap meat. When we asked the waitress they told us even though it says it comes with ribeye meat you have to specifically ask for it. That to me honestly just feels like false advertising and like I'm getting ripped off. It's like ordering a pepperoni pizza but having to ask for pepperoni!? I don't understand that logic without thinking that they are making more money from trying to sell you higher value meat and giving a poor excuse. For that reason I am leaving this review and I as well as my friends will not be going here anymore. I will say though the other times I went I was content with the food and the service has always been good. When we brought up the meat issue they also made my friend a new omelette with the ribeye meat so that was good. But out of principle we also did not like what felt shady to us. read more
