Fire service good customer service by two men will definitely come back sand which was fire

Of all the sub shops in the area, this is the WORST I've ever had!! Which is really sad because the location is within walking distance from my home in Camarillo and the really GREAT one is 25 miles away in Ventura where we always went before our Law School class across the street. I ordered one ham and Ham & Provolone Sub on Wheat Bread and one chicken & Provolone Sub on Wheat Bread - when I got home, I discovered there was only about 3 oz of very thinly sliced ham ... if you could call whatever it was "ham" that had very little taste at ALL and hardly any veggies to select from and NO additional oil or spices to add.... only a slab of mayo! The bread was stale - then soggy. The staff seemed to be very busy even though there were only 2 people in the place, felt as if they just couldn't be "bothered" to talk to the customers. Guess I'll be going to Subway... can't walk there, but I'd rather drive the extra 2 miles than go to this OVERPRICED - HORRIBLE place! This Jersey Mike's is hidden. However I like the quietness of it. Evan was really polite and friendly and greeted me on arrival. I will frequent this one more. Store was cleaned and all 3 employees were engaged doing something not just standing around. I will frequent this location more often. I haven't been going to Jersey Mike's for years, I love all their sandwiches. Today I had to place an order for a work thing. And unfortunately, I had an issue and I needed help with my order and George who I believe was the manager, was super understanding and absolutely amazing when handling my issue. I ate my sandwich so quickly it was that good.. so that's why there's no picture. But I had to come and say how incredible my experience was today. I'm still in the restaurant as I type this out! The young lady helping my mom and I today 10/10 at 2:00-2:25pm was awesome, so kind, friendly and excited to help us order. I loved her enthusiasm and efficiency. Our sandwiches turned out PERFECT. The whole family( some very picky) love Jersey Mike's. We all have our favorites and they are always made the way we love them. Pick up or delivery work great and quickly. Friendly helpful staff. It seems to be part of the JM customer service playbook that staff should be cool and distant. I don't need the people making me lunch to be my friend, but it would be nice if they could acknowledge that I am standing there, a human being, saying words that have a meaning that could use a response. I sat there eating my lunch & watched the staff do to every person who entered what they did to me: perfunctory greeting, perfunctory service, utter disinterest in whatever anyone says. I was greeted with a genuine smile by the person who pulled the bread, but the other THREE staff members that I interacted with were like robots. Dear JM Customer Service Director: please remind your staff that customers are not the same as staff members. They are not there to buy a "7" or a "13", but to buy a "turkey sandwich" or an "Italian sub". So, barking at them, "Is this the 7?" is neither helpful nor welcoming. As soon as there were no customers at the counter, the staff became suddenly animated and chatty - with each other. They chatted about plans after work, school, sports teams. Then a customer approached and they became robots again. Is this the 8? Not one said, "Enjoy your sandwich" or "Have a nice day!", not one responded to any customer's joke or pleasantry. The closest I got to a human, anticipatory comment was when the person at the register invited me to take any bag of chips because "they're all the same price" - I'm guessing that they get that question a lot & it's fair that they want to anticipate it, so the fact that it felt a bit "go way as fast as you can" can be forgiven. It was a decent lunch in keeping with the brand, overpriced as always, but the customer service was unwelcoming and repellent. I see from other reviews that the management of this shop responds to Yelp posts, but, as my profile suggests, I don't want to hear from them. Their job is to fix the problems, not make excuses for why the problems exist or to deny them. So, if you see a response here, it just shows that they don't know how to interact with customers as individual people. read more

Food was good Service was OK This is the second jersey Mike's that I've been to when it's a half an hour to closing time the workers are not very happy. I don't blame them. I'd wanna go home too, but if you're still open, you still need to work and you still need to satisfy your customers with a smile. that's how I feel so I give them three stars just because of that I was also disappointed that they were out of bread. They turned a few customers away because they ran out of bread. They said they were busy that day. I don't know why they were not prepared. This is Jersey Mike's come on they're a very popular sandwich spot. I also noticed that the two elder women that were in front of me very sweet ladies who were not told that they ran out of bread . They were just given wraps One of the ladies questioned the wraps and the server told her that's all that they had so the ladies took them. Absolutely the worst place to phone an order in. I literally have to call 20 times for someone to answer. Sometimes they don't answer and I just take my business to Nona's subs. They have missed out on my business a lot due to phone issues. read more

Received similar message. Waited 10 minutes and tried calling. No one answered. After 35 minutes total, I went in and got it and was told that they are "really slammed - sorry". Came here for my lunch break on my way to Ventura. Ordered the chicken bacon ranch sandwich and it was delicious!! Toward the end of enjoying the last bites of my sandwich, I noticed a hair sticking out. I pulled it from the sandwich. And placed it onto the wrapper. I don't care to be "that guy", but this was near the end of enjoying my eats. In the end, the workers there were super polite and apologetic about the occurrence. My sandwich was replaced. Sucks when something like this happens, but it's going to happen sooner or later. I would come back again just because of how awesome the staff was. read more

I have no complaints about this location. I love my Turkey provolone... yum. I always ask for the oils /vinegar on the side since I like my bread to not get mushy. I have never had to wait more than the appropriate time. I also like getting their - " Buy one Giant Sub get the other free ." Or "Buy one get one Half off." read more

I'm confused by some of these negative reviews. Perhaps I'm just lucky or maybe it's because I typically will try to call my order in or Doordash but I've been very satisfied with the sandwiches I get here. So satisfied that I'm embarrassed to say I had them multiple times this week. Bread always tastes fresh, quality meats and I haven't had anything wrong with my orders. They do get very busy at peak periods so giving them a heads up by calling or even better placing your order online helps you skip the line. read more

Food was good. It's currently 90 degrees outside and it's probably over 100 degrees inside the store. No air conditioning and no ventilation of any kind! I'm a huge Jersey Mikes fan. My experience w this location has always been pick up. Meals are always wonderful. I recently tried the bowl version and it was amazing. (Beyond the jalepenos - those pieces are way too large to be enjoyable in my opinion.) I love their rewards program and try to take advantage of the coupons sent when I can. I think the staff in Thousand Oaks is much more friendly than this location but they aren't bad. The TO staff is welcoming and excited to be at work therefore my review is 4 stars. read more

i don't typically go to sandwich shops because i hate to say this but jimmy johns and subway are trash. The sandwich here was so flavorful the meat was fresh and juicy on every bite and you can tell it wasn't rushed and thrown together. you can taste the freshness of the rosemary bread and the bacon wasn't under cooked and they put the perfect ratio of olive oil vinegar. it was so juicy! The sandwich's are good, if you ever get them. This sandwich shop is a model of inefficiency. And the girl at the register is terribly rude, but probably because she is tired of everyone yelling at her because it's taking an hour to get your sandwich. Her excuse was too many orders online- But people come when they are told their sandwich's will be ready for pick up- There are two obvious remedies to their problems, and their manager should be fired for not being able to figure this one out- #1- have the pick up time adjusted to reflect reality- if it's going to take an hour, then say that- we don't care. It sure beats getting there and being told it's not ready. And then watching walk ins get their order before you- even though you've already waited half an hour before they even arrived at the location!!! This is unacceptable... #2 - set up a sandwich station in the back to make the mobile orders when it gets busy- what an amazing concept!!!! But unfortunately, I'll be doing something else for our lunches now, as the wait time combined with the rude employee isn't worth the sandwhiches. For what you pay the value and quantity are just not there. Sub in a tub and it has bread in it!? The meat is less than a handful worth and doesn't even remotely cover the bottom of the container. If you are looking for slow service and a waste of time look no further than the Jersey mikes at 370 N Lantana. Starting off you walk in to unfriendly staff who could care less about getting you your food. During my order I stated 3 times I can not have tomatoes and how I am allergic, yet what was on my sandwich you guessed it tomatoes. Now I understand mistakes happen and it was busy but it's a shame with something as serious as an allergy. Than when it came time to pay after waiting 20 minutes and the store now being packed the man behind the register informs everyone he will only be able to take cash and no bills over 20 dollars. Now this is posted on the door so it's understandable but to wait 20 minutes for food just to be told you are unable to get it is unacceptable. In conclusion if you want to sit in an outdated and unfriendly environment look no further than this Jersey Mikes. This will not only be my last to this specific location, yet all Jersey Mikes.
