While instagram hype and tiktok take over the food industry, a lot of these spots are now touting "12 burgers per day" and then we have no more. Lords does the same thing but the burger is available at brunch in an unlimited quantity. The real question. Is it hype/sensation that is making the burger that amazing? Does the scarcity add to the value proposition of this illustrious burger? at a pocket emptying $26 for a "welsh rarebit cheeseburger" I can't say its worth the price. Is it good? Absolutely, is it delicious? 100% yes. Is it worth waiting on a line for a chance to have one in the afternoon with only 12 being served? No. Menu is extremely over priced for the value. The question becomes is it worth it? Oysters kilpatrick $5.00 each? HELL No. Peekytoe crab and uni on toast $24? No. A handful of Chips at $14.00???? HELL NO!! Sticky Toffee Pancake? $18.00? Sort of worth it Banoffee French Toast $18.00? Yes. worth it Hot Coffee $5.00?? NO! Bloody Mary? - delicious but not worth the price All in all this place is hyped up and everyone is feeding into it. Everything is just okay, The prices are ludicrous. A single Scotch egg at $18 is highway robbery. Been twice. Tried it and tried it again to see if I had a different opinion. but just not worth the value for the food. There are better options out there that hit just as good. Service is impeccable and the food if it were about 45% cheaper would be worth it.

Amazing food and excellent service from Damani. Just don't sit outside. I actually had cigarette ash spill into my drink from someone smoking on the fire escape which I believe is illegal. Definitely try the crab uni toast which was my favorite of the night.

Please see my review for Raoul's for the full picture. I was on the fence between three and four, but the server/bartender was very nice and accommodating and the food wasn't BAD, so I can go with four. Came here on the trek to try all the reported "best burgers" in NYC. I've had Sip & Guzzle's. And Raoul's. And Red Hook Tavern. Lord's rarebit burger is probably on the bottom of all those. It was unexciting. It tasted kinda like nothing. The fries ("chips") were hot and meaty and tasted good. A half order is huge so you may wanna get a half or have someone to share. Also, even though I made a reservation right when the reservations first opened, it took me five minutes to even get inside to tell the hostess I was there. There was a huge line of walk ins waiting on this prestigious burger, and there wasn't any prioritization of those who had planned ahead. Also, despite making a reservation, because I was a single diner, I was relegated to bar seating only. No table. This would have been fine overall, until they packed us all in like sardines and the guy next to me was practically sitting in my lap and elbowing me constantly. I did like the Scottish egg. Gooey and yolky with a great seasoning and crisp. Like Raoul's, they make a limited number of burgers per night, but if you come Saturday or Sunday during brunch, it's unlimited. Honestly, I would come here again because their regular menu with British food seems interesting and pretty palatable. Various forms of fish and steak with different toppings and dressings, sophisticated flavor profiles and lots of seasoning (despite the British reputation for bland food). But the burger? Raoul's for Manhattan. Red Hook Tavern for Brooklyn. I've had better burgers in a lot of places, including one of my stand by spots, Freeman's.

Never had a scotch egg before, but I dream about this one. Great meal and vibes all around! You must try the burger and the fries, also the desserts!! Highly recommend this place to anyone in NYC

Food was an absolute experience. The service here is warm and friendly. They are very attentive and they know how to curate the experience. The scallop was incredibly delicious. Also the duck is gem of a dish! The atmosphere is warm and cozy. Great spot for dinner after work, or evening dinner date.

Walked into Lords like "yeah yeah, British food," walked out a believer ‍ 506 LaGuardia Pl, NYC Started with the curried lamb scotch egg -- absolute banger. Crispy, spiced, zero notes. Washed it down with a proper Guinness (they pour it right, respect ). I'll admit it: I side-eyed the "only X burgers per night" thing... That doubt vanished after one bite of the Welsh rarebit burger. That rarebit sauce?? Still renting space in my head. Prime blend patty, bed of onions, tangy, powerful, balanced -- a wonderful companion if I've ever met one. Closed strong with the blueberry compote & corn ice cream choux bun. Didn't expect it. Didn't stand a chance. Top-tier service, cozy energy, incredibly lovely evening. Already planning the return like a man who knows what's good.

Nice warming meal on a cold new york evening, the depth of flavors was unmatched. A friendly staff will greet you upon your arrival. The scotch egg was possibly the best one I've ever had, the chicken and Guinness pie were old classics given modern twists. Not picture is the sticky toffee ice cream dessert, which is now in my top five ice creams of all time.

Absolutely worth the hype! My friends and I got there 30 mins before opening on a Sunday to snag some bar seats without reservations. We ordered the scottish egg, the burger and the french toast and everything was a 10/10. Our server was also delightful and had great recommendations. Definitely worth the try in my opinion!

Was inspired to come here after watching a video on how Lord's made the best scotch eggs in New York, and they definitely did not disappoint. I ordered the scotch eggs and crispy pig's head, and both dishes were so good that I ended up ordering a whole short rib pie as well. The scotch eggs were pure perfection, with crispy outsides, jammy yolks, and an amazing combinationof lamb sausage, curry flavoring, and an herbal cream sauce. I was really impressed with the pig's head as well- I had no idea what to expect, but it turned out to be some super tender pork cooked into a crispy triangle, paired with tangy endives and good mustard. The short rib pie was great as well, with a buttery crust and juicy meat. Service was great and the ambiance at my bar seat was cozy. Some of the best British food I've had.

The sideshow became the star! The triple fried chips are incredible! I only got the half order but next time it will be the full. Definitely the best chips outside of England, the exterior of the chips was crunchy, the interior moist and creamy. No traditional malt vinegar or gasp,.. ketchup needed! With Lord's finally opening for brunch, I finally tried the famous twelve-burger-a-night Welsh Rarebit and it was good. It could have been better. The patty itself was perfectly cooked rare with the cheese perfectly layered on top. The raw onion was cut way too wide for the patty size and thus over powered the flavor of the meat. I ended up opening up the burger a removing a few of the onion rings. The burger was also over seasoned. This wasn't one of my favorite burgers in NYC but it certainly has the potential to be very good. The aesthetics and the service at the bar was outstanding. I'd certainly return to try other items on the menu.

Made a reservation ahead of time and returned for brunch on a Saturday. Sticky toffee pancake was incredible - a really unique pancake in a city full of them. Welsh rarebit cheeseburger was phenomenal (unlimited availability at lunch)! Fries were also perfect. Would try the Banoffee French toast next time!

Everyone tells me British food is not great so that made me want to try it for myself. Everything we got was flavorful but slightly too salty for our preference. The Scotch lamb egg was delicious and I loved the fries. Super fatty and crispy. They're known for their burger so we ordered one. It was a good burgle but felt pretty standard too n again a little too salty for us. The Banoffee fresh toast is my favorite. Very sweet but it was so delicious and helped balanced out all the salt. Service was great and restaurant had a British pub vibe to it. Also, all of their food is quite heavy so make sure to be prepared for that. This one meal kept me full literally the entire day.

Our friends raved about this place and we of course were excited (and a bit skeptical at first) to try it. The concept: no menu + no lights + a few questions = the ultimate cocktail experience. The speakeasy vibe and the dark ambiance really makes this place feel even more exclusive. With just a few tables and the bar setting, you're in for an experience you won't forget (unless you answer the wrong questions and really end up with a drink you don't like HA). This wasn't my case. Of course I described my two favorite things: Negroni + mezcal. The obvious answer would be a mezcal Negroni, but that's not why one comes to a place like Attaboy. Our amazing curator came by to ask us all a few questions, write down a few words in the napkins, and mix up the perfect drink that our master bartender crafts, curates and creates. My drink came as I couldn't possibly imagine. It looked like a Negroni smelled like Oaxaca, with all the smoke simmering up and preparing my sensory experience, leading to the best first sip. Ladies and gentleman, I introduce you to The Devil's Backbone. A perfectly balanced drink I'll never forget, one that is sipped slowly and enjoyed thoroughly. It's sexy, it's smoky it's sipped.
