    Virginia's Crab Cake

because what is better than a girls night? one at Virginias! - I've never been one to be drool over a burger & don't entirely get why they are taking the NYC food girly world by storm, but this one was...wow. moist as all hell & for once like yeah not something a dad could grill up one sunday - the other biggest win was the brussels sprouts. I think they had fish oil in them bc they were slightly sweet. they were charred in a way that every bite had crispy flakey bits and other bits were soaked in the salty sweet sauce - the crabcake was rich and very salty. it was good, but it was very small for the price tag. also, one bite had something hard in it. maybe save this order for a place known for seafood - the ricotta toast was so unique covered in a tangy pickled and olive spread. they cut it into fours & it was fabulous. - the fries were crispy, salty, gorgeous, but so overpriced. really should be like $7. the onion dip too was perfectly cool yet decadent, however the serving size was much smaller than what I saw in my precious stalking - obviously save room for dessert bc the banana pudding was a work of art. ofc service was so personable and sweet. very responsive and fun! shoutout the shots hehe

Honestly I was really excited for the burger here so maybe I set my expectations too high but I wasn't blown away. The burger was OK - I ordered it without any extras and to me it felt like the pieces were a bit separate? Not sure if I just got a bad one since I feel like my bun was actually too much relative to the burger lol Otherwise I enjoyed the appetizers and sides - carrot salad was delicious, and the Brussels and fries were both great. Also I'm originally from Virginia so love the "Virginia's is for lovers" merch.

Big eh. Walked in at 7:45 on a Saturday and got lucky with a table in the dining room, but it went downhill after that. Little gem and Virginia's burger were good and solid, respectively. Best burger in the city? Absolutely not. But it's solid. The French fries were tasty but WAY too oily. Hurt my stomach for hours after. Looking now, I can see there are a bunch of other reviews complaining about the overly-greasy fries, so I should have known. 3.5 stars.

Came here for a last-minute brunch after our original place had too long of a wait. We split the banana bread which was a bit dry. I got the egg and cheese sandwich with no bacon. The sandwich was weird but good- the bread was unexpectedly sweet and quite pillowy soft, and the egg was like a soufflé which I don't care for. The sauce and American cheese added the flavor to the sandwich and really made it tasty, but the texture was just off for me. The salad on the side was light and fresh. For the price, I wouldn't say this was worth it, but I've heard the dinner is better so maybe I'd come back for that

Small cozy restaurant with the friendliest staff and delicious food! Quite surprised but very happy with this pick from my friend. Everything came out amazing. I will say everything is on the pricier side, with tinier portions than other restaurants, but worth it in my opinion. The ricotta toast is heavenly - wish I ordered more! The crab cake was good, but nothing to write home about, would skip need time. Burger was good, cooked well and the side of fries were delicious!

Hubby and I came here on a Sunday. I saw Virginia's had the best burger in the city is, so i had to try. The restaurant has a lovely romantic setting. The music and vibes were perfect. Our waitress was friendly and lovely. Drinks Espresso Martini Spicy Margarita (i love a spicy margarita with a kick and this cocktail had exactly that) Apps crème fraiche, onion dip w/ potato chips - so so good Virginia's crab cake - it was okay, it was lukewarm, not much crab. Tasted like there was more filler than crab and it was salty. I wouldn't order again Mains Virginia's burger - it was huge! Definitely worth the cost. It was a delicious burger, but wouldn't say the best. Loved the pickles on the side We ordered a side of fries b/c the burger doesn't come with fires. Those were good as well Dessert Banana Pudding - it was okay, nothing mind blowing. Overall we loved our date night at Virginia's

Such an underrated spot in the heart of the East Village. All the staff were so friendly, relaxed, seemed happy to be working and very upbeat. Came here for the burger and apparently everyone else did too. Overheard as the table next to me was leaving: "dude, those burgers were absolutely amazing!" AGREE. One of the best burgers I've had in ages and the fries are amazing as well. I also ordered some east coast oysters and they were so fresh, so flavorful. My "perfect" old fashioned was insane!!! Literally best old fashioned I've ever had in my life and I've had so many haha. This spot seems really popular with Gen Z and Millennials. Very hip crowd. Across the street and frankly all around the vicinity are really cool looking places. Such a nice neighborhood. Would come back here anytime!

Seems like a cool place for happy hour although I don't drink anymore. Ricotta toast 5/5. Had a little kick to it Burger 4.5/5. Melt on your mouth Steak frites 2/5. Ordered medium rare and came out almost well done. Sent it back. They made another one that was medium rare. Not much taste to it. Skip.

Super vibey spot to grab drinks and dinner! The burger was one of the best I've ever had. The inside is dark, moody, and intimate. The service was quick and friendly. Will def be back!

Food is pretty great! My friends for the burger and the risotto and they loved them both. I had the salmon which was also fabulous. The ricotta toast had a little bit too much vinegar for my personal taste but I really enjoyed the brussel sprouts. Do wish there had been some vanilla ice cream with the cookie. Service was top-tier, our waitress was super attentive and the rest of the waitstaff constantly made sure our waters were full. Really cute interior, seems like a great spot for girls night or for a date!

One of the best burgers I've ever had. Virginias is kind of a no frills kind of place but in the best way possible. When you order the famous burger that's what you get. A burger. No fancy sides (you can order them) but they know what they're good at and they're good at it! Service was great and ambiance perfectly casual. We will definitely be back soon!

Virginia's is in a different location since the last time I was here but I gotta say the burger is still as good as I remember. I had it with egg and bacon and honestly I didn't want the meal to end. For apps we got the salad and sprouts but honestly the burger and fries are the stars of the show. So good I honestly can't remember the service or ambiance. The service was good though and it's a bit of a smaller location so it's quite loud but the burger alone is good enough to get a 5star rating. Will definitely be back for more. Came in for my birthday dinner and the ambiance, service and FOOD were amazing. I highly recommend the Cucumber Melon Gin Martini, the drops of olive oil add a lovely touch to it. They have a great happy hour, but it's only 5-6!

Our friends raved about this place and we of course were excited (and a bit skeptical at first) to try it. The concept: no menu + no lights + a few questions = the ultimate cocktail experience. The speakeasy vibe and the dark ambiance really makes this place feel even more exclusive. With just a few tables and the bar setting, you're in for an experience you won't forget (unless you answer the wrong questions and really end up with a drink you don't like HA). This wasn't my case. Of course I described my two favorite things: Negroni + mezcal. The obvious answer would be a mezcal Negroni, but that's not why one comes to a place like Attaboy. Our amazing curator came by to ask us all a few questions, write down a few words in the napkins, and mix up the perfect drink that our master bartender crafts, curates and creates. My drink came as I couldn't possibly imagine. It looked like a Negroni smelled like Oaxaca, with all the smoke simmering up and preparing my sensory experience, leading to the best first sip. Ladies and gentleman, I introduce you to The Devil's Backbone. A perfectly balanced drink I'll never forget, one that is sipped slowly and enjoyed thoroughly. It's sexy, it's smoky it's sipped. Attaboy gave the best mixology experience and we can't wait to be back. Pro tip: be sure to be as vocal as possible, even with ice, so you don't end up with a tiki drink if that's not your vibe.

It adds a layer of character to the place, but what really keeps people coming back is the atmosphere and the drinks. The space is split into two levels: a two lively, sawdust-floored Taprooms downstairs and a more refined Parlor upstairs if you're in the mood for a quieter, cocktail-focused experience. I would have had to cancel and rebook and wasn't sure I'd be able to (reservation was for a Saturday night) In most places, a table for 3 easily accommodates 4. But not here. When two of us arrived, they made it clear this was a big problem. I would have walked out right then but I would have been charged $90! We decided to stay and make the best of it, which was a challenge. For a speakeasy, the vibe was aggressive, not relaxing. Very loud music and not great acoustics.) Too cramped to be comfortable, proving that small does not necessarily mean cozy! We asked if we could take a chair from the table next to us, which was empty (it was only 6 pm; I told our server we'd be gone by 7 because my friend, the birthday girl, had to catch a show.) We were told No! To say the waiter was cold, unfriendly, and indifferent is generous. He was totally rude. He literally told my friend she couldn't sit in a chair that was otherwise empty, knowing we'd be leaving momentarily. Then he had the gail to hand me the bill with a 22% tip pre-selected...and watched over me while I signed it! Definitely the least satisfying $100 I have ever spent. Disappointing. It was good to see my friends, but I so wish I hadn't picked this place. Never again.
