I came here with my friend for dinner on a Friday night. We got there around 6:30pm and didn't have to wait for a table. I was shocked! We both ordered beers and burgers. The burgers by default are cooked medium-rare and are served with American cheese and carmelized onions. It was very flavorful and juicy. All-in-all an excellent burger! The fries were also great; crispy on the outside and light and pillowy on the inside. The restaurant was so cozy and comfortable. I was dragged here and told that it was the "best burger in town". Spoiler alert, it's not really the best burger in town. The server was super sweet, but she was the only person serving the entire restaurant. I felt bad for her because it got really busy and she was handling the bar and all the food by herself. It is small inside, but there were easily 20-30 people. This place has a serving window between the kitchen and the dining area. I would definitely suggest that they change the way they operate and just have a bartender operate the bar and people can go up and get their own orders. Unnecessary to make that girl do all that work alone. Could have been a one off - but we were a party of 5, made a reservation and still waited 1.5 hours for a table because the booth seating was all taken by 2 person groups. I felt bad because we took up space in the bar area waiting for our table. Overall, pretty silly experience. read more

Don't necessarily think we would order again since it's a really small portion and nothing too special - Burger: Brindle Room is famous for its burger and it did not disappoint. Buttery, melt in your mouth patty cooked to perfection (medium rare) with melted cheese and grilled onions on a soft pillowy potato bun. Served with crispy thick cut fries and pickles. Think this is one of the best burgers we have had in the city. I'd been to this restaurant many years ago at its initial location. The new location on 11th and C is definitely a step up. One of the better regular burgers (not smash burger) I've had in the city. I really think that there should be different classifications for smash burgers and just a great standard burger. Same goes for thin crust to regular crust pizza, but I've gone array. Back to the Brindle Room - Just make sure if you like your burger medium rare to emphasize it because they tend to cook everything medium to medium well. Burger was good, above average but not the best. The problem was how filthy and rundown the interior is. We sat in a booth, a the little wall ledge next to booth had a heavy layer of grease and dust. I ran my napkin over a few inches of the ledge- see napkin pic. It was almost hard to sit inside because the was so many flies, they were hard to ignore. Bacon wrapped dates were the perfect balance of sweet and savory, and even better than ones I have previously had at Boqueria and Socarrat. However, I was underwhelmed by the burger, the main drawback being that it needed more seasoning. Today we went to Brindle Room for the second time in 8 days. I cannot recommend it enough. The first time we went we sat at the bar on a Saturday and enjoyed DELICIOUS and VERY REASONABLY priced cocktails. The "Go" is served ICE COLD and is so good if you like espresso martinis. Today we went for brunch and it was empty? Are you kidding me? If you don't want to wait in line for a BEC or a burger you should try this spot instead. What a great find. Friends took me here for brunch. The space is friendly and rustic. Not fancy but comfortable like sinking into a sofa. Our server was Jake who professional and personable. We started with the pickle chips and Brussels sprouts both were fantastic. I wish I had pictures but we ate them so quickly I forgot. The menu is a little small but I will always defer to a smaller menu executed well over a massive mediocre menu. I had the French dip and it was massive and delicious. Came here on a Saturday for a party of 2 at 5pm. The place was empty! The ambiance was cozy and the service was fantastic. We ordered the crispy Brussels sprouts for appetizer and 2 burgers (cooked medium rare). The brussels sprouts were perfectly cooked. They had a good crispiness and sweetness to them. My burger was too rare for my taste so I asked them to please cook it medium. The staff was very accommodating and switched my burger immediately with no problem. The burger was pretty simple with cheese, onion (which tasted almost like an onion jam) and pickles. The meat was cooked nicely when cooked medium with a healthy amount of pink. The french fries were really tasty. They were skin on steak fries style and had a perfect crispiness and saltiness. Overall, it was a great dining experience with good food. I went to Brindle Room a couple years ago before this new location and loved it. We went to visit this place on a Saturday night and were able to call in with a reservation just in case as well. I personally loved the spaghetti pomodoro and the espresso martini, but we also got their steakhouse burger which their known for and I just don't think it lived up to the expectations from when I last had it. Our waiter was nice and we loved how much more bigger it is than the old one. It's unfortunate that I probably won't be coming back for the burger and will be getting the pasta or something else from the menu if I'm ever in the area again. read more

The best and most consistent burger in the City. I've seen a lot of reviews say they weren't sure about this place because it looked empty. A few things to note here, they moved to a larger size dining room, but also, they were closed for much of covid and most people don't realize it re-opened. made a reservation but tbh you don't even need one. even though i had a reservation i was seated at the bar which was fine i guess it was right by the kitchen so all i heard was clinking and clanking . i had the sebastian burger fried pickles and the espresso martini . the espresso martini was good you couldn't taste the alcohol but it wasn't the best . the burger was alright also not the best but not bad , there is no bottle of ketchup nearby , they just give you some ketchup in a sauce cup. the fried pickles were ok not the best at all . they had an interesting aftertaste but i'm not sure what it was but i've had better fried pickles elsewhere . overall i'd rate it a solid 6/10 i was pretty full at the end and i would've preferred to be actually seated . would i go here again ? like maybe but it's not a place i'm recommending it's just there. read more

Missed this place and so happy it opened up again. My roomates and I used to get delivery from them everytime and glad we finally went to dine-in. Small space where Virginia's used to be. BEST BURGER IN NYC Would give it 10 stars if I could. Used to be obsessed with this spot pre-COVID and would order almost every weekend, and then was completely devastated when they shuttered. Well folks, they are back and better than ever. The burger is indescribably good, full of flavor and panache. It comes with cheese and caramelized onions on it, and pickles on the side. Best burger ever! Came here because I saw that this place had one of the best burgers in NYC. The beef is actually dry aged and tastes so good along with the American cheese melting in your mouth.
