Prepare to wait for at least an hour. They always try to push for more time by saying they're washing your car or what not. One good thing is the people here are always more than willing to help. Well at least most of the people. The reason I am giving this place a two out of five is because of my car. It keeps having problems and I keep on having to come back! I've already had 3 recalls and one of the employees was telling me that 3 was considerably little....Wtf.... He told me that there was a 2006 model that had 8 or 9 recalls...Hmmm..... We have been having our cars serviced at Longo now for years. Reliable service and, their collision repair service is just as good and very detail oriented if needed. They listen to you and endeavor to accommodate your requests in every way possible. One of the service specialists, Robin, is above excellent and great to deal with. They are the go to location in my opinion. Yes, for certain services they are more expensive, than our local automotive repair person, but, if needed, they give you a Lexus loaner vehicle if they need to keep you vehicle for more than an hour or two, if reserved, to minimize any inconvenience, if you have things to do, and cannot wait. read more

When I came here to buy my Lexus I was kind of pissed off that some sales lady got pissed off at me over commission. I was getting the CT200h when it was still low stock (2011) and nearly unobtainable. Sales people like to give you the run around and even though I had a $500 deposit, whenever I called they would tell me the car hasn't arrived yet. Consequently, I took it upon myself to get in touch with multiple sales reps at Longo to see if they were actually telling me the truth (of course they weren't). Long story short, one day I decided to spontaneously drive here to see if a CT200h was available and of course there was 2 in the underground parking lot (one was already sold). However, even though there was an extra CT available, I wasn't contacted it was just pure luck that one day I walked in and one was on the lot. I decided to purchase that extra CT on the spot. This made everything confusing because apparently Im only supposed to negotiate with one sales rep. This lady that worked there got all pissed off at me basically stating that I was screwing up their commission process because I talked to multiple sales rep (which wasn't really my problem because I just wanted the damn car I can care less who was getting the commission since NO ONE informed me that an extra CT was available). I don't want to get anyone in trouble but I really don't recall names anyways since this was back in 2011. Anyways, I walked away with the car but can't help but to think that perhaps if a customer was buying their first Lexus they'd be treated better. On the bright side, Longo Lexus has a beautiful maintenance center. Verdict? Try Jim Faulk over Longo if you are looking to purchase a vehicle. read more

Great: I've taken my cars to Longo service for over 10 years. They check me in quickly and my consultants are ready to speak with me quickly. Work is done timely as well. My car runs fine. All is well. Not so Great: This is the second time consecutively that the same service consultant has told me that I have a nail in my tire. I have been driving fine for months since my last service - have not seen any loss in air pressure or felt any strange driving issues at all but there's a nail in my tire and it can't be fixed? His claim is supported by the fact that my prior consultant said my tires were wearing down so I should replace them. The first time several years ago, I sat by another customer who's service consultant told her the EXACT SAME thing prior to this particular person saying it to me seconds later. The lady and I looked at each other with utter suspicion. This was the reason I stopped meeting with this consultant immediately (for several years) until this time around when I forgot to ask for Frances, so I get a nail in my tire again. One time, ok. Tried to lease a car here. Layout of the dealership was a little confusing as there's no directions to where the sales office was, but it's not a big deal. Arrived there and first thing I got was some crap from some sales guy standing on the side of the road about how I was driving too fast. Ugh yea, 10mph in a parking lot is too fast. Maybe I should have got off my car and pushed it from behind. That will probably make him feel better. Maybe he should consider a career in the CHP as well. Anyways, since I'm here to lease a car, I didn't care much about his attitude since I was more concerned with the price. Went into the dealership, and talked to an Asian salesperson. Told him I wanted to cut through the sales talk and just talk about price, since I already know what car I wanted. That still didn't stop him from his 10-15mins sales pitch about longo lexus is different compared to other lexus dealerships in LA area. Okay, I'll live with that. Next, he insisted on showing me the car even though I repeatedly said I just wanted to know the price they can offer. But okay, I'll play along. Went down to the garage, looked at the 3 cars they had in stock that I wanted. No idea what purpose that served, but sure. Went back to his desk, and then he said he needed to pull my credit report to tell me the numbers. I provided him copies of my credit report with my FICO score from all 3 bureaus that I just purchased from myfico. He said that wouldn't work. Okay sure, so I filled up the credit app, and the FICO scores he got was higher than what I had. Still, not sure what purpose that would have served, since my FICO score was already 750ish and the score he pulled was 770ish, and Lexus tier 1 credit was just 720 cut off. After some back and forth negotiation, he insisted on charging a premium for that car simply because the color I wanted (ice white with red interior) was in great demand. They had 3 cars in stock, none of them were taken, and they wanted a $50/month premium on top of an already higher base price compared to keyes Lexus. I asked him to talk to his manager and he didn't even want to. I then showed him paper quotes that Keyes Lexus gave me and he budged by reducing the monthly premium by $12.89 (not sure where he came up with 89 cents, but whatever). So, I gave up, left the dealership with inquiries pulled on my credit report for god-knows-why, drove to Keyes Lexus right away, and walked out of that dealership with the same exact car specs for $60/month less than what Longo quoted. Lesson learnt for me. Don't let stupid people pull my credit report for no reason. read more

Came back here because my cell phone was still not synchronized with the car, and this was right before the "hands free while driving" law was in effect earlier this year...well, I am sure most people on the road still hold their cell phones and talk like no tomorrow these days. Just ask our respectable Kalifornian governor Mr. Schwarzenegger right? Ha... Normally I'd fix all tech-related gadgets without the manuals. Not this time. My old phone and the car device just wouldn't cooperate with each other. So I pulled out the manual and actually read it. Day 4, I gave up trying. Having had the prior nightmare from Longo's service department, I went straight to the sales building looking for familiar faces. It was very early in the morning. No luck. Just when I was about to take off, a gentleman came out and greeted me. He then directed me to the most "tech savvy" guy in the sales department. Tech guy took my phone and started the car. In addition, I was offered a seat and drinks whilst waiting. An hour later he also gave up. But what an effort! Later I found out that it was my old phone who didn't like my car. So I got a new phone, and there had been nothing but harmony since. The reception range is so good that it picks up the signal from my cell phone in the bedroom upstairs, while the car is being warmed up in the garage. As I've described in my previous review, the experience with Longo's sales department has always been beyond excellence. I do apologize for not remembering those 2 gentlemen's names. Now I am debating whether to go back to its service department for the navigation system update. Note: Some Sony Ericsson cell phones are Lexus haters. So I walked in & asked the lady in the front for assistance. She called over a salesman. He greeted us & sat us down. He then asked who was going to be test driving the car today. I said I was. He then asked me for my drivers license. Ok. Then he said he would have to run my credit to make sure it's me. Ok wtf?! Run my credit to check my identity? Since when?! I told him that I did not want any inquiries on my credit right now. I am planning to pay cash with my payout. He said that's the "test drive policy." Well my husband & I got up & left. Finally retired the Lexus I purchased here; and it reminded me about the awesome purchase experience here over 10 years ago. Yep that pre-dates yelp! Self consciously old feeling now... Showed up here looking at certified cars. And the stickers were higher than the budget. Just wishful window shopping and gathering intel about current asking prices. Nowadays this stuff is all online - you didn't have to burn gas and bounce from one dealership to the next. The very last car I looked at - was priced significantly less than the others. I had to do a double take. Certified. Low miles. What the heck was wrong with it? I wondered this aloud to the salesman next to me. He agreed, the price seemed too low and checked his sales sheet. After some guffawing and going back to the sales manager, he said indeed the window price was incorrect. But they would honor the price, admittedly consumer law requires them to do so. That pesky "3" is just so darn close to the "2" on the keyboard. Yep I got the car for $10k less! A long overdue public thanks to Longo. They took it on the chin with class. read more

Overall, Longo is: -Always ontime -Always responsive -Always have great attitude -Always deliver great mechanics and service Their facility is nice and spacious, and the process for courtesy cars are very easy. I always get a courtesy car, but if I am patient and wait, they always are speedy and expedite my service so I don't get too bored surfing their complimentary internet, TV and magazines. I've been to other Lexus dealerships, but one scratched my car while I was at the shop, and the other didn't service my car right and the problem remained. I came here after what was a unanimous exclamation at work of "You have to go to Longo!" right after I mentioned that I was looking to buy a Lexus. I was glad for the recommendation because I had already gone to Beverly Hills Lexus and did not have such a great experience. This place is all business which is exactly what I want from a dealership. They have a high volume inventory and their people are experienced and good at what they do,so no unnecessary shmoozing and sterotypical car salesman type antics. Came here on a weekend inquiring about the new CT hybrid. Was immediately asked if I wanted to test drive it, and within minutes, was out on the road! Ended up buying the car a few weeks later and am loving it. I feel good about the experience I had buying my first car there and they gave me a pretty decent price for my trade-in. Don't do business with Peter Kong. I love my Lexus 2021IS 350 sport. I am disgusted with Peter Kong's work ethics. The day I purchased my car Peter attempted to sell me the tire and rim warranty. Initially, I declined it. Two days later I called to get it and paid cash via my debt card. Peter explained that it would cover repair/replacement of tire and rim damages. My rims are chrome painted. I decided it would be worth it. I accidentally scuffed my rim turning around a curb. Turns out the warranty I purchased does not cover my rims. After talking to customer service and getting the run around and no where, I decided to call PETER KONG. He must of forgotten who I was. He told me the warranty does not cover my special type of rims. I asked, "Then why did you sell it to me?". He fumbled with his words. Peter said, let's not point fingers. I spoke to his manager ERIC TRAN. After many calls and emails the warranty was finally cancelled. I asked that they send the refund directly back to my debit card. Instead they had it applied to my loan balance!! I took out a loan to buy my car cash. The warranty was purchased separately a couple of days after buying my car. Peter falsely rewrote the contract as if the warranty was covered by my bank loan. PETER KONG and ERIC TRAN insisted on sending it to my bank, knowing that it was not part of the loan. Thank goodness I bank with Wescom Credit Union. I informed my bank of the situation. They flagged my account and transferred the money from the car loan payment account back to my checking account. I started the annoying and time consuming refund process end of November 2021. The refund went through 1/21/22. Peter Kong is a fraud. He will sell inapplicable services to make his quota. I will buy a Lexus car again, but not from MR. SWINDLING PETER KONG. read more

The service department does a really good job, whether you make an appointment or not they always take your vehicle and put you in a rental just in case you have things to do. I use to think lexus was just another Model, but honestly its a  smooth ride and very dependable.I've had my vehicle over 2 years. With the exception of the usual 10,000 mile oil change, Im yet to run into any problems. My service advisor is Daniel Perez, if he is not there my car doesn't stay. This review is for the service department. My 2009 IS250 has had a few recalls on it over the years, so unfortunately, I have to keep returning to their service department. If it weren't for that, I would never come here at all. In April, my car had to be brought in for a wiper recall, a trunk release recall, and an engine recall. They would only be able to fix the wiper and trunk release on that appointment and would have to order the parts to fix the engine recall that wouldn't arrive for a few months. Not much I could do, so I turned my car over to them and headed to the loaner car desk. When I got there, I asked if they had any vehicles with GPS, because I use that feature frequently for business in my own car. Whoever was working that day told me that they do have some cars with that feature but they would have to be reserved. I asked the gentleman, "How do I do that?" and he told me to just make that request when I schedule my next appointment. At that point, what can I do but take whatever downgrade they want to hand me. On July 10, 2013, Jerry Temores let me know that the other parts for the third recall had arrived and I could schedule an appointment. I scheduled it for the 16th and specifically requested a car with GPS be made available. He said that it wouldn't be a problem and he would take care of it. On the day of my service appointment, I drop my car off, meet with Jerry, and after going through the service procedure and expected service time (5 days), head again towards the loaner car department. This time at the counter is Alex Tejada. I approach and tell him that when I scheduled the appointment with Jerry, I requested a loaner car with GPS. He tells me that Jerry doesn't know how their system works, and besides, that type of car can't be guaranteed. So, would you like an IS or a CT (neither with GPS). So I tell him that I'd prefer to have a loaner car with GPS, but he states that there aren't any available, and I reluctantly agree to take an IS. And of course, right when we step outside, there is an RX with GPS sitting in front of us. So I ask Alex, what's the deal with this car? And he tells me that it's loaned out. Why would a loaner car be sitting amongst the pool of cars if it had already been loaned out? Picking up your loaner car is the last thing that is done in the service process. Why would a client get his loaner car but then just leave it there and hang out at Longo? Unless of course, you actually CAN reserve the vehicle of your choice. Those vehicles CAN be saved and guaranteed. You just have to be somebody that Longo considers important. Or at least, more important than me. read more

Longo Lexus has been a great dealership to work with. I have purchased 3 cars from Longo and I've always had the best service. The Takata airbag debacle has affected many people. For me, I was asked not to put anyone in the front seat of my car until the replacement for the recalled part had arrived. Possibly up to a year!! Longo Lexus was fantastic and provided alternative transportation for me to use until parts became available. The service advisor directed me over to the Enterprise Rent A Car that is on-site at Longo. This was going to be a long term rental and they didn't blink twice about it. Once the replacement part became available, I got a call from my service advisor, Kelly and he handled the rest. They provided the quality, care, and integrity you would expect from lexus. I drove all the way from Irvine to get my car and can tell you it was well worth it. There are 3 dealerships within close range from me in Irvine, one of them being Newport Lexus. I initially went there to look at cars and although they pride themselves on their million dollar dealership (yes they actually made it a point to tell me that) their customer service was nothing compared to the personable and friendly staff af longo lexus. I will gladly keep driving all the way to El Monte for their million dollar service. Based on my experience I know they will give just as much care and attention to my car. Do NOT be fooled by false promises of a replacement rental car for warranty related repairs. After explaining to 2 separate service reps that both agree my Lexus is still under warranty for a faulty passenger door lock that will not lock, Longo does not want to pick up my vehicle for faulty Lexus warranty related items. I never encountered these silly issues with my BMW. Fortunately, another dealer can be compensated for these warranty repairs. I can also now refer future Lexus purchasers to an alternative dealership for their new Lexus knowing Longo does not honor their word. read more

Best, stress-free car buying experience I've ever had. I came here to purchase a very slightly used 2014 Lexus IS 250 I saw on Cars.com. It was everything I had been looking for, and 5 dealerships later this was going to be the last one in my search for a while. So I call ahead, making an appointment to see the vehicle. I had about a 30 minute drive to El Monte and in the time it took to get there and get ready to test drive, the vehicle sold. A sign from the universe, right?Wrong. We were helped by Ian Clubb and he was very helpful from that point on. We were able to locate another car, same model (from the THOUSANDS of cars) in their inventory, with less miles more upgrades and for a better price. Sold! From walk-in, to our little hiccup, to walking out... It was record time for me. Buying a car used to be an all day affair, but in a just few hours a had a BEAUTIFUL Lexus with my name on it. The only slightly negative thing I have to say about Longo Lexus is that they do try and push quite hard for you to get a Lease. That, and the location isn't the most convenient. This review is for the service department, Well mainly our service advisor Niva Salazar, if it wasn't for him I'd give 3 stars for my first impression. Upon arriving at Longo Lexus for our first 5k services, we we're greeted by another service rep who seemed liked he was not in the mood that day. It seemed like he was in a rush or something, so I asked for Niva Salazar because my friend suggested I should go through Niva. Right off the bat Niva was really friendly and welcoming, he offered my girlfriend and I water, donuts etc. He had a good ear to listening to our concerns about the vehicle we purchased and had us ready to go in our loaner car within 10 mins of our visit @ Longo. Unfortunately, our problem wasn't fixed by the dealership but it is somewhat in the process of getting fixed. If it wasn't for Niva walking us through and being 100% honest with us, I wouldn't be writing this review. I think I would have lost my patience. lol I would definitely recommend Longo Lexus' service department to my friends who own Lexus' just because of my experience with Niva Salazar. I've got in contact with Chris McCarty after his comment on Yelp and I was able to accommodate a test drive on a LS + F Sport sedan to my schedule. I arrived punctually, checked in, and I met Chris who he direct me to a sales agent named Van. Van took me out for a comprehensive test drive, local and freeway. Certainly no where close to what Tom had done. Very knowledgeable about the car, warranty, and was able to answer every question that I had. I'm very pleased that Van took the extra time to print out the information on the basic LS model and the LS model with F Sport. In the end, all went well. Another sales manager emerged (not Chris), taking my comments and making sure that everything went well. NOW that's customer service. Certainly not the first time with Tom. Frank Lorusso is so awesome and amazing. I've purchased several Lexus's over the years and have used most of not all of the service writers from Melinda Stevenson to Julian Diaz and I'd have to say Frank has really been remarkable. Anyone and everyone should always get the vehicles serviced at there dealerships how ever when coming to Longo Lexus it's like going to visit family and you get treated so well here.
