Typical buying experience you would expect; waste your time then try to get you in the dealership so they can waste more of your valuable time until you capitulate and overpay for a car. 5 Stars for Edward - Service department 3 Stars for Man Wong - Service department 5+ Stars for Sal - Security department SERVICE DEPT - Took my 2015 IS here for maintenance and a recall Friday morning. When I called earlier to schedule the appointment, they said the recall would take a couple hours to fix so they would provide me with a loaner. My appointment was at 11 but I had to be somewhere else at 11.30, so they were able to accommodate my request to get the loaner earlier at 10. I arrived at 10:00 and waited 20 min to talk to service advisor (which is not bad because that Friday was especially busy). My service advisor, Edward was nice and personable and gave his direct number to call and pick up my car but he said he wasn't going to be here on Saturday. So his teammate would help me. Flash forward to me picking up my car, his replacement on his team, Man Wong was slightly condescending when he asked me a couple questions about the car (after reading some other reviews, I wasn't the only one who experienced this) Maybe I was being defensive because I'm wary of what dealerships tell me but did not appreciate his tone. Would not want him as my service advisor next time. I got my car, the tank was filled, the car was washed and vacuumed (I hear they machine wash the cars so let them know if you don't want them to wash your car) SECURITY DEPT - Came home and realized I may have left my jacket in the backseat of the loaner vehicle and I didn't remember ever taking it out. Called Longo and they patched me to the security department for the lost and found (service dept was closed by the time I called). A man named Sal picked up and checked the Lost and Found for me (jacket wasn't there) asked a couple questions about the loaner vehicle, and actually went out of his way to locate the vehicle and look in the backseat for my jacket. By this point I felt so bad because I could have waited til Monday to call the service dept when they opened, and Sal could have told me to call back on Monday but he didn't. I truly appreciated his assistance - Such great service! He told me he unfortunately couldn't find the jacket (he actually sounded bummed) and provided me with a couple options and possibilities on how to locate it and I was very grateful for his help. This is an updated review. A few weeks ago, Craig Wolfson reached out to resolve things. He assured me that I would get my money back and said that I shouldn't have been charged for the lost keys in first place. Craig was extremely quick, professional, and pleasant. He called me with a status update at the end of each week saying that my case was not lost and is being worked on. About three weeks after initially talking to Craig, Lexus financial sent me a check for $750. They didn't return $70 (tax), but I wasn't going to waste any more time fighting that battle. I'm just happy I got the majority of it back! It's unfortunate that I had such a bad experience with the other Lexus Longo reps because Craig handled things like a boss. He knows what he's doing and how to handle problems. It's infinitely better than the "I'm not sure" or "I'll call you back" response that the other representatives gave me. If you have a problem that the reps can't solve, I highly recommend not wasting time and directly speaking to a manager or supervisor. ______________________________________________________________________________ Absolutely the worst customer service I have received from a car dealership! My mom returned her leased Lexus this past July and the dealership confirmed that they received everything. They gave us a signed checklist with all the inventory they received so we thought everything was good. A few weeks later, we receive a huge invoice from Lexus financial stating that they did not receive keys. However, we returned everything and had the signed documents to prove this. After countless hours of calling Lexus financial, they said that the actual silver key fobs in the alarm were missing. We called the dealership to figure out what happened to the keys throughout their inspection process. Spoke with a guy named Dickson and he said he'd look for the keys and call me back. He said that that they would never return the car without a thorough inspection and that if two key fobs were missing their team would have definitely noticed it. I never received a call back even after waiting a week. I called the dealership to check in and he said he would call Lexus to sort things out. A few hours later I receive a call and he said that he cleared everything with Lexus financial. He sounded annoyed and said he did me a FAVOR by calling Lexus. He said everything was clear. No Dickson, you did your JOB. At this point, I didn't trust the dealership by the way the handled this case so I called Lexus financial directly to see if this was true. Lexus financial said that nothing was cleared and that Dickson called the wrong department. We proceeded to do a 3-way call with him and the first ten minutes the Lexus financial guy basically trained Dickson on who to call and how to check for these type of cases. I still don't know what happened and how TWO keys could've been missing, especially when the dealership confirmed they received everything. I can't help but to think there was foul play here. Regardless, I spent countless days, weeks, hours trying to figure this out with the dealership. Talked to another guy named Rick and he said he'd help me look into this. He said to give him a couple days and that he'd call me back after figuring this out. So I waited patiently. I waited over a week and still no call back. I called Rick again and he said to call Erica who actually did the inspection. Erica did not answer the several times I called her so I asked Rick to leave a message to please call me back about an update for these missing keys. I still have not heard from Longo Lexus.... I read a few Yelp reviews below and it seems like I'm not the only one who dealt with a similar case like this. To anyone who's looking to buy or lease a Lexus from Longo, I would seriously reconsider. Dennis was able to set everything up BEFORE we arrived, and then was super patient with my 79 year old parents on their new 2020 Lexus! My wife and I had visited numerous dealerships and test drove numerous models, and had finally narrowed down our search to the 2017 Lexus RX350 F Sport in Ultra White with black interior. A few of the local dealerships we had first visited were not too helpful, and when asked questions about its specs and features, didn't have the best overall knowledge of the vehicle. As a prepared & informed consumer, these initial encounters at the Lexus dealerships didn't sit too well with me, as I felt I had a better understand of the car than their sales team. After talking with a close family member, I was pointed in the direction of Longo Lexus. Having ties to Longo himself, he contacted the sales director and mentioned our interest in a new car. Later that same day, Rony Parada, one of Longo's sales team, contacted me and we had a conversation about exactly what my wife and I were looking for. After gathering our information, not even a day later he had sent me a list of vehicles they currently had in stock that matched our criteria. After a bit of negotiation via phone and email, we reached what I believed to be a fair and honest deal for the car. Two days later, my wife and I stopped by the dealership to take ownership of our beautiful new RX350 F Sport. When we arrived, Rony greeted us with a big handshake and smile and immediately took us over to our new car. It was decked out with a big red bow sitting right on top and my wife was thrilled and just over the moon, especially this being her first new car! Rony took us back out to our car which had just been washed, vacuumed and looking fantastic. He then spent the next 45 minutes walking us through the entire car and all its features, setting up the bluetooth on both of our phones, and making sure we were 100% comfortable with our new car. Rony was extremely knowledgeable about all the features and specs and was instrumental in making my wife very comfortable with her new car. Two days after taking ownership of our car, I received a call from the customer relations team at Longo Lexus. They started off by thanking us for choosing Longo Lexus and wanted to make sure we had an outstanding experience. They also wanted to know if there was anything else they could do to make our experience any better today and in the future. I assured them that they had done an amazing job and we would be recommending their dealership to anyone and everyone who is in the market for a new Lexus. Several of my friends and clients suggested to look at Longo as I have been "building" my Lexus NX for almost a year now. I hesitantly contacted Longo via chat to do some initial and basic inquiry. A day later, George King contacted me via email, being very respectful of my wish to communicate via email until the vehicle with my wishes with specs was in stock. I specifically wanted the Lexus NX 200t F-Sports with Atomic Silver and Rioja Red. He immediately informed me of an available one from another dealer, and asked me if I wanted him to lock it in. All these times, George was very respectful of communicating via email. After the online application of credit check etc... was done, he called to confirm he would pick it up himself to put it in their lot! George King found me the exact model I wanted, and it was fully-loaded. I didn't want all the bells and whistles, but I can't complain! The price range was good, and they even worked to make sure I get it for a little lower, and get more from my trade-in value. The trade-in process itself got complicated and time-consuming due to some unforeseen problems, but George never let up. It was late, but he was extremely patient. His sales manager Kevin Holley even came out to brainstorm all the scenarios to make everything possible. Problem solved, and I came home with the NX I wanted! Good thing I caught it on the paper before going any further. Renegotiate the price on the new 350 they just wouldn't budge. Like some of the comments stated below Hiue was condescending and patronizing. He made me feel so unwanted because of my credit history despite having a down payment and co signer. That response made me walk away. My co signer has good credit and with my down payment I decided to go else where. The Lexus corporation is huge and does not need my business, but I did want to encourage others to avoid this particular Lexus dealership because of the customer service. I have been a Lexus owner for nearly 15 and quite frankly, do not feel any special nor privileged for being a Lexus owner until this past weekend. Thus, I feel obligated to write to you to tell you about my experience at your store located at Longo Lexus in El Monte. First, Michael Chico is a God send! From the moment that I drove up to the service line, he treated me like a VIP member (and that alone sets him and the store apart from any other stores). I was there for a recall and did not have an appointment. They were overbooked, I asked if there is any hope as I can't get my tags renewed without the recall signed off. Michael said he would do his best to fit me in. Amazingly, he squeezed me in but reminded me that I may not make it to AAA in time to get my DMV tags straightened out. He assured me that he would try his very best to get me out before AAA closes and that he did!! Wow! Personally, I am so grateful and thankful to have met Michael Chico. He made me feel as if I were a part of his own family - treating me like a royal VIP in every way. He stood by me through every step of the service and going the extra mile. I even got a full tank of gas! Complete Shi* show today at the service. They have completed overbook appointments & no loaner cars when they specifically said loaner is available per my service. Otherwise, i would not take it to this dealer. Appt at 11:30am, arrived early at 10:37, waited in the lobby for 54 minutes to be called by a service adviser. No kidding, An entire 54 minutes just to be called at 11:31 to be exact by service adviser Frank. Took 5 minutes went over paper work, was instructed to wait in the lobby again for a tech to come test drive the car to verify the noise. Waiting another 45 minutes for the tech to come around 12:18pm, test drove for 1 minute and verified the noise. Then went to loaner department, said no loaner available, went back to frank, he said he ll get me a enterprise rental car instead next door. Checked in with enterprise, waited 30 minutes just to be told they are completely out of car. Went back to frank and said ill just take my car else where. Note i left at 1:33pm, almost a 3 whole hour of waste. These people have way over book their appointments, there is at least 50+ people in their lobby, as i was sitting and waiting, i have seen at least 8 people come up to the front desk and complaint waiting. a complete shit show today. Today, I went in for a scheduled maintenance for my Lexus ES350 and felt that the customer service is getting worse and worse every time I come in. I've been coming here for almost 15 years. I only saw few employees working here smiling at the customer. They are friendly and smiling among themselves only but not to the customers. The place was so noisy worse than the market place... Now that I've been in the Longo family for 2 years, I figured I'd update my review for the rest of the staff. I always go to Julien Diaz for any services, like oil changes, tire rotation, alignment, etc. He's great at communicating honestly what our car needs to stay in good shape. He keeps me updated on the process, and always goes above and beyond when I make a request. I also love that he always has a loan car available for me to use while my car is being serviced (the cookies in the lobby don't hurt!). A month ago, another driver ran into my car, and I brought it to the Longo Collision Center. Anthony Molino took great care of our concerns, and made sure the other party's insurance covered new OEM parts (they refused originally). Easily reached by email or phone, Anthony carefully and patiently answered all questions I had about the insurance process, and walked me through the whole thing. And finally, good ol' Rony Parada. Due to the aforementioned collision, Anthony let me know that the previous owner decided to glue back the bumper, which wasn't noticed during Longo's Certified Pre-Owned check. I told Rony about it, and even though we've had the vehicle for 2 years, he had the sales team cover the cost of fixing it! 5-star service for the entire Longo family. read more
