I arrived at the restaurant at 3:01 pm and was told I could no longer order off of the lunch menu, it ended at 3 pm.. I can't believe that the store would rather turn away a sale and potentially a return customer by enforcing a policy of a minute late by my phone and being there at 3 pm on my husband's phone. I was totally taken back, and probably rethink visiting the restaurant again. We have loved eating at Longhorns, and we're so looking forward to the 7 pepper salad. The steak tips were so tender and delicious. I just love their baked sweet potatoes with butter and Cinnamon. The bread was hot fresh and lots of butter. Service was quite good, but they did ask too many times if everything was okay or if we needed any steak sauce. I ordered the T-Bone. The steak flavor is especially good. They have seasoning down to a science, and the cook was exactly as ordered. The "Loaded" baked potato has a lot of extras at no extra cost. I recommend it. Caesar Salad was fresh and tasty, but I keep forgetting to ask for extra dressing. Their fresh bread is always quite good. We split a cheese cake dessert. It was too big for the two of us. I wish they had smaller desserts at a lower price. Next time I'll try the strawberry shortcake. Before Covid, LongHorn had 4* food with high prices for what you got. Since Covid most restaurants have raised their prices a lot and reduced either the quality or the quantity of the food. LongHorn seems to be the exception. The quality seems to have gone up a bit, while the prices seem to have changed very little. What was marginal is now a reasonable value that compares with other 4* and 5* restaurants in the area. I still get annoyed by restaurants that include State Tax in their suggested tip calculations and that don't include 15% as an option, even though I almost always give more. read more

I went to LongHorn Steakhouse in Wareham, MA with my wife and kids for a nice dinner. I paid the full bill and left a $10 tip. Then a man -- who said he was the owner -- approached me and told me my tip was "too low," because the staff "don't get paid" and "live off tips." I told him politely: I'm a customer. I came to eat. I paid for the food. I even left a tip. What your staff earns -- that's your job, not mine. He replied: "If you don't want to tip, don't eat out." Honestly? That was humiliating. Especially in front of my kids. Let me say this clearly to anyone reading: **It's NOT the customer's job to make sure the staff get paid.** That's the owner's job. If he doesn't pay his workers enough, and people stop tipping, then those workers will leave. Then HE'LL have to cook the food, serve the customers, clean the floors, and run the business all by himself. That's how it works in the real world. If you don't take care of your team, they leave -- and you're left doing everything alone. What really upsets me is this: The owner of this place probably lives way better than many of the customers. He owns the restaurant. He probably owns a house. He's got money in the bank. He's driving a luxury car. Meanwhile, many of us -- the customers -- are working 6 days a week just to survive. Some people come to eat here with the last $40 they have, just to give their kids a good night. And instead of being appreciated, they're made to feel guilty? **Tipping is optional, not mandatory.** Don't let anyone pressure you or shame you into paying more than you can afford. A tip is a "thank you," not a wage. The owner is the one who should be paying proper salaries -- not asking us, the customers, to cover for him while he makes profit and lives comfortably. If this message makes sense to you -- if you've ever been treated this way -- **please share this review or help spread the word.** We need to stop normalizing this kind of treatment. It was super busy (expected) but the service was immaculate and pretty quick considering the volume of people imo. I had stopped going here for over a year because the food was inconsistent but I returned to give it another try and can say I was pleasantly surprised. For starters it was much cleaner inside and the lamp shades at the table were not held up by zip ties like they were before. Big improvements! We were seated promptly and our waitresses Diana who was great by the way, came over as soon as we were seated and took our drink and appetizer orders. We didn't wait long for the Texas Tonions to come out and they were nice and crispy with the perfect amount of seasoning on them. We ordered our main corses when the appetizer came out and I had the salad before my meal and it was very fresh. I also noticed that the blue cheese dressing was much better than it used to be, it was thick and creamy and not watery like it was in the past. My steak came out not long after I finished my salad and it was cooked perfectly and not over seasoned like it would have been in the before. The steak was excellent and I really enjoyed every bite. Back home and a good visit to a consistent option. We had a few drinks.. lemonade, Tito's Tea, Corona, and a margarita. The alcoholic drinks were made well and had just enough kick. For apps, we had the cheddar stuffed mushrooms and chicken wings. Both were yummy, but I wish the wings were a bit crispier. Dinners included Flos Filet which was done perfectly, 2 burgers were both ordered medium but had no pink so were a bit over, half rack of ribs which were ok and the new lemon chicken which was good. Our server was outstanding and was on top of drink refills and checked in appropriately. This is a solid go-to for us for dining in or takeout. read more

The food was great but the lack of proper AC on hot days, the old dirty carpet smell and unclean feeling of the dining room was just bad. An exceptional meal from Longhorn Steakhouse. She had their exceptional version of the filet mignon and I had the steak tips. Well prepared and superbly served. I must say I did not care for the seating as the table was huge, keeping Rebecca and I too far apart and it was also otherwise empty so it didn't feel quite right. We love Longhorn. Steaks are always tender, juicy, delicious, and cooked perfectly to order. I wish I knew the secret to their baked potato -- so fluffy and delicious. The broccoli is nicely cooked and lightly seasoned (butter and salt). I can't comment on their other food because this is what I always order. We go here about every other month. The atmosphere is relaxing. Attractive western decor and a reasonable sound level. We also love the steaks at Texas Roadhouse [in New Bedrod] but the music is loud there and the staff dances -- stuff we could do without. So we drive a little farther to go to Longhorn instead. List of special values including draft beer 12 once for $2.50 but when I odred one waitress asked 16 or 20 oz I said 16 while she was getting I looked at the menu again and it says 12 oz, when she brought it I said why did you mention 16 or 20? She says oh did you want a 12? (The 16 is well over $4). My wife got the Flo's Filet with Salmon combo. The meals also include a choice of a salad. Everything was cooked a perfect medium rare. We have been here probably 5 times in the past 2 years and have never had a bad meal. The staff are always friendly and courteous. I've been to this location a number of times and generally it has been pretty good; however, the last time I went there, it was uniformly horrible. The restaurant was barely one-third full, yet we waited almost an hour for our food to arrive. At the 30-minute mark of our wait, I asked the waitress what the hold-up was and she said the food would be "right out." Then we waited almost another 30 minutes before it arrived. My steak was full of fat, tough, and barely lukewarm, while the mashed potatoes were so cold that the butter barely melted for the entire time it sat on my plate. I don't usually review chains to often but if they are steak houses always have to give them a shout out for a good alternative! As far as drinks, they are not light on the Liquor! Which is great for those that like their mixed drinks a little stronger. The new bacon and cheese dip is delicious! As far as the steaks I feel as if they always cook it about 5 degrees under what you ask for. This could be because when the steak sits for a bit it continues to cook but I am more of a medium kind of guy and tend to get a medium rare out of this place when asked. Always a great alternative if you don't want to spend $35+ on a steak at a non-chain steak house but you get what you pay for of course. read more
