Narrows Crossing had been recommended by a friend of mine whose parents have a summer home in Wareham. We were glad we took their advice and stopped in for a late lunch. This place is nothing fancy and is what I would describe as a low-key, casual, friendly, local restaurant We were greeted very warmly upon entering and told to sit wherever we would like. There were a few people eating at the bar and maybe two other tables with diners. We sat at a booth next to the windows which overlooked the Wareham River. Pretty view! We had a lovely and helpful waitperson who came right over with menus. We asked for ice water, a sauvignon blanc for me and a local beer for my husband. I am a fan of fish and chips so this was what I ordered when I saw it on the menu. My husband went back and forth with a couple of choices but ultimately he got the fish and chips too. We were both very glad we did. Some places don't get it right and over-fry or over-batter the fish so ordering fish and chips isn't always so straight forward even here in seafood-centric New England. The haddock was lightly breaded and perfectly and freshly fried. It tasted clean and light meaning the breading was not at all heavy, it was just a suggestion of a coating and the fish tasted fresh and sweet. It was a simple dish, as it should be and so delicious. It came with fries which were also very good and a small side of coleslaw...I wish there had been more of the tangy coleslaw. I eat my fries the New England way (which is really adopted from the English way) with malt vinegar and like all good seafood places in these parts, malt vinegar is readily available. We rarely get dessert but when the waitperson told us they had Grape-Nut pudding on the menu we ordered a dish of that to share. Grape-Nut Pudding is a classic, old-timey New England dessert. It should be served warm, and it is really a tasty comfort food. When I see it on a menu, I will almost always order it. As an aside, It's easy to make. If you google it, several recipes will come up including my favorite one which is from Yankee Magazine. The Grape-Nut pudding here came out warm with a dollop of whipped cream and was not too sweet (grape-nut pudding shouldn't be) and was really delicious. This was a perfect place to stop for a good seafood lunch in a clean and unpretentious local place. We look forward to a return visit.

Awesome Staff the owners should be proud Breakfast is our go to but we also love dinner and after dinner drinks We love this place....

    Eggs Benedict was Delicious

Absolutely the best Eggs Benedict ever, and the french toast all 6 pieces with Hot Maple Syrup was great. With my Eggs B the home fries were hot hot hot and just perfect. Got an extra English Muffin and it was toasted and buttered just right. Had dinner there a couple of nights ago and the Marianated Sirloin tips were very good, The Scallops and Full Belly Fried Clams were awesome, so all was not just very good but the clincher was the BREAD PUDDING served hot with a side of Vanilla Ice Cream wow wow wow

Stopped in here coming home from the cape and we will return for the excellent food at incredible prices. The overall ambiance was a no frills local pub which I personally love, plus outdoor seating next to the water is always appreciated. I got the stuffed haddock; as classic and simple as it sounds it was anything but! Everything was cooked and seasoned to absolute perfection! But the homemade desserts here really were the cherry on top! We got the strawberry shortcake and bread pudding, both some of my favorites and these were astounding. The bartender Steve is also a delightful staple here and for good reason, more than just the harmonica show :) highly, highly recommend!

Stopped in for breakfast. Casual place where many locals seem to go. Friendly staff and enjoyed my omlette. Limited menu, but food was tasty...so they made it for it!

Onto the food; Bacon pizza - My boyfriend is a Bar pizza connoisseur, and his review stands as follows "Solid Pie". MY thoughts however are more descriptive. This pie was actually different than I had expected, even at first glance. The crust was THIN - almost paper like, a slice was a bit floppy when it was HOT but as it cooled it held up super nicely. One thing this restaurant has down is handling greasy ingredients, despite being a bacon pizza it was one of the least greasy bacon slices he's ever ordered. Topping portions were also great. Adult Grilled cheese - this sandwich was phenomenal. The pulled pork was well seasoned, and tender. It wasn't overly greasy which was delightful, given its barbecue and cheese filled nature. The sourdough was a delicious and thoughtful combination since the crispy outside kept the sandwich together and added a nice crunch while the inside soaked up the melty cheese and barbecue sauce. The sweet potato fries were also good, plus there was a good mix of soft and crunchy fries. WOULD AND WILL COME BACK AGAIN!

My friends and I haven't seen each other for a while so we were using this time to catch up and our waitress was really great and didn't rush us at all. The salad was really great and they make a homemade dressing, but the swordfish was a bit dry, although it was seasoned very nicely. I couldn't finish it because it was overcooked. I've been to Brew Fish several times and I'll definitely be back.

The Caesar salad was lackluster. Several items were not delivered after the first request. Most important the noise level of the restaurant was, simply put, very oppressive. I'm not sure what the decibel level is but I'm sure it was higher than a New York subway station. If you want to carry on a meaningful conversation, it would be helpful to be proficient in American Sign Language or perhaps to bring a bullhorn. This is really a shame. There are many cost effective options the restaurant could pursue to cut down on the noise level. For example, quilts could replace the paintings on the wall. This would be in keeping with the Cape/Colonial aesthetic of the restaurant.

Now they are staying open later in the season and we are SOOOOO happy! This place ROCKS! Cute little place, love the outside deck, but let's get real, it's all about the food! We've been twice now. I got the small (yeah, right) lobster roll and clam chowder combo both times I came. FIrst, I don't know who can eat the Monsta one, not I. The "small" is bigger than anyone else's I've seen. If you look closely at the last pic I posted of the lobster roll, there is an ENTIRE lobster in there. There is a full, uncut lobster tail, and two full, uncut claws, and a ton of other meat around it. Full lobster kids. The grill on the bun is perfect. While the bun is hot, the lobster itself is served cold and undressed, but with warm drawn butter on the side. MMmmmmmmmm. It's my fav lobster roll hands down. Both times I've had a few of the raw littlenecks. So good. Also last time, the BF went with me and he had the Cuban sandwich, as he is not a fan of clams or lobster (I know, and I stay with him anyway). This Cubano was INSANE good! I had a couple bites. We both love a Cubano, and this is probably the best one either of us have ever had. Great bread, and it's HUGE! All in all, great place, great food, great vibe, friendly peeps. Everything about the meal was absolutely delicious. The only real "complaint" I have about this place is the price of the food. While I know, seafood isn't cheap, our meals to feed three adults was over $100. Certainly not what I expected from this little place.
