My friend and I visited brew fish on a Saturday evening in August. We sat outside on the patio, which was quite lovely. My friends and I haven't seen each other for a while so we were using this time to catch up and our waitress was really great and didn't rush us at all. To drink all three of us ordered the Prosecco that is on tap. We all enjoyed it. For dinner I ordered a Caesar salad with swordfish. The salad was really great and they make a homemade dressing, but the swordfish was a bit dry, although it was seasoned very nicely. I couldn't finish it because it was overcooked. The food here is great. I've had the salmon soba bowl and the fish tacos. Both were delicious. The chicken tenders are tasty. They have good salads. I'd recommend the truffle fries. The dessert doesn't live up to the meals. The tiramisu was a bit dry. The affogato was okay but not amazing. They did have live music which was nice. Their outdoor area is covered and pretty nice. Service is decent. They take reservations on open table which is nice. We will definitely be back. read more

The worst pizza I've ever had in my life. Even worse than Dominoes. At least Dominos pizza isn't greasy to the point of being completely inedible. Other people in my party liked the seafood that they got. The salad I ordered was ok and I liked my wine. Based on the pizza though I be reluctant to order any food here again. We love Brewfish and have for many years. Its always a great place for any time of the day, especially in the summer season when you can enjoy the outdoor seating and Beer Garden area. We made reservations as always and there was only a minimal wait as they were super busy. We sat outside (which is our fave anywhere we can). Our server "Zack" took awesome care of us as he has in the past. Even with the high volume he still was very personable and got everything done for us and the tables around us. We tried some food items we haven't had yet and everything was really good. Only feedback was the Pulled Pork Nachos were a little dry and light in the cheese (but still good). Visiting from The West Coast and wanted to take my sister out for dinner on my last night. I've driven by this place a zillion times but never stopped in. My sister lives in New Bedford and didn't have strong feelings about any of the local options, so I went into this with a pretty low expectation. It was a Monday night and the had live music. Decent enough but a little too loud for the booth we had in the bar area. That said, it was no problemo to get reseated. Waitress was really on it! You know, magically knows how to show up exactly when you need something, but also gave us time to chat. Menu options had us both struggling to decide between things that sounded really good, so nice to have to have that problem. I ordered the chicken parm with rigatoni and vodka sauce. Let's just say it freakin' nailed the fabled spot! Excellent taste and a very good portion size. I'd had some disappointing meals during my visit, but this one made up for them! My sister ordered a little off the menu with a grilled chicken sandwich (fried was the menu) and some quirky stuff she does with her coffee. Neither one was an issue and both were perfectly executed! Gotta love little places like this. Maybe you've driven by this place a hundred times too? You need to stop and grab dinner! This one gets a spot in my regular rotation now! read more

I have been here a couple of times for light eats and cocktails. Anything I've had has been scrumptious and it's clear that's a large reason why it's a local favorite! They have a ton of seating both inside and out. I've never had to wait for a table due to this even if the parking lot was full. Service is always good. Everyone is kind. We have been going to Brewfish for a few years now and the service and staff has always been great. However, to say the quality of the food has been inconsistent is an understatement. Most recently we had burnt pizza, overcooked steak tips and the stuffed sole was inedible. There were small bones in almost every bite I took and the mashed potatoes and asparagus left A LOT to be desired. We love the atmosphere and it has been our go to place when we are in the area, but since the food quality has been so poor we sadly do not see ourselves returning there. read more

On Father's Day we went to Brew Fish. Party of 6 one being a child. The only offering was the buffet at $50 per person $20 for children. It was a brunch buffet. I passed on the scrambled eggs because they looked dry. Next was the home fries that were the size of diced onions and cold, hard and dry. I chose the eggs Benedict. There was bacon and sausage which I also passed on. I picked the french toast casserole. There was various other items, roasted brussel sprouts, chicken,beef tops ,prime rib, salad, shrimp cocktail, and pastries. The muffin under the eggs Benedict was cold soggy in the middle and hard as a rock around the edge. The egg was cold and the sauce was terrible. The steak tips were cold and had absolutely moisture yo them...like chewing unflavored jerky. The prime rib was too rare to even cut through it and was also cold. The pastries looked like they were made with Pillsbury rolls but were probably the best item along with the french toast casserole. To be honest it was the worst meal I ever had in a restaurant and I'm 74! They should be ashamed of not only the price but the quality of the food. The place was basically empty and our food took about 35-40 minutes to come out which in my opinion is too long for a restaurant with maximum 3 full tables. AND if you plan on using the ladies room just be prepared that 2 out of 3 toilets are BROKEN and they don't refill their toilet paper. Stopped in for our first time last weekend on a whim. Hunter was our waitress and she was great. We had the Ch'Ale soup. You have to try it. At first we didn't know what to think....eventually the flavors really came out. Being from the New England area this was a delicious spin on both kale soup and clear broth clam chowder. So Yum My wife had the Cubano Sandwich which she enjoyed but would have preferred a dill pickle instead of the bread and butter. I enjoyed my Blackened Swordfish Tacos, they were delicious. I just left Brew Fish and I'm so aggravated I couldn't even wait until morning to write this and I'm mad that I even have to give this place 1 star. I also never write reviews, but this experience was so unacceptable that I feel compelled to do so. I had a reservation for 6:45, but when we arrived, they told me they didn't have it. I stepped outside and saw that reservations for that exact time were still available online, so I booked another one on the spot. I went back in, showed them the confirmation email, and we still had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. They put us in a back room, where we then waited another 20 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. We were about to get up and leave when our waitress finally came over. Another woman (not our waitress) stopped by to apologize for the delays (both for the wait to be seated and the lack of service afterward). Because it was clear service was slow and there was no staff consistently in the back room, we ordered everything at once - apps, dinner, all of it - just to try to avoid more waiting. Eventually, everyone got their food except my daughter. At first, I assumed it would come out a few minutes later, but it never did. After another 15 minutes of trying to find someone (anyone) to ask about it, we realized there was no staff around at all. On top of that, my husband's food was cold. At that point, we were completely over it and just wanted to leave. My husband had to walk to the front of the restaurant to find someone and let them know my daughter never got her meal. They apologized again (over the apologies - do better!) and said they would rush it, but by then we were done eating and just asked them to pack it to go. Their solution was to comp her meal (which goes without saying, since we never received it in the first place). For $165, this was one of the worst restaurant experiences we've ever had. We left frustrated, irritated, and honestly feeling completely ripped off. My biggest regret is not walking out when they first said they couldn't find my reservation and still tipping after all of this (most people would have left nothing which is what I should have done and regretfully didn't). Thanks for comping the meal we never got. (Eye roll inserted here). Horrible horrible experience, and it completely ruined our Saturday night. read more

I usually sit at the bar and order their Cobb salad for lunch or an early dinner. The bartenders are friendly and keep an eye out for any service needed. After making reservations for standard inside seating, the hostess tried to seat us in a high top. After working all day my back was not ready for it, so we asked for the standard seating we reserved, they told us it would be a twenty minute wait because we didn't request a booth but there were multiple booths and tables still available inside and outside. Over all we have enjoyed the food here but often its busy and the staff never makes you feel very special. This was supposed to be a birthday dinner and it felt like we didn't matter to them. The flaw may be in the Open Table app but its the one they choose to use. read more
