Baked Stuffed Shrimp

First time dining here. Party of 6 for Father's Day. Our waiter was great(always impressed when a server does not write anything down or use a hand held computer. Food was Super! Will definitely return.

Wow! So good!! Need I say more? Stopped in for dinner with friends. Nice, clean, good size, well lit restaurant with nice big bar. Spacious seating. Great menu. Greeted pleasantly at the door by the hostess. Sat down table for four. Wait service was great! Our waitress, Rebecca, was excellent, attentive, friendly, polite, courteous and professional. Food and drinks all perfectly prepared, absolutely delicious and plentiful. Good amount for the price. Old fashions are awesome. Ordered the sautéed mussels with white wine for appetizer. Finger licking good and tender (sorry no pic. Got devoured quickly) For entrees, we ordered the New England fried platter, twin Maryland crabcakes and the grilled marinated beef tips. Again all perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. Definitely will return to try the other items on the menu.

Seared Scallops

42° North was a delightful place to enjoy an early dinner. The ambience is comforting and inviting. Our server was attentive and wonderful. The food was hot and delicious! I have the Sea Bass special which was layered over lobster risotto OMG, and served with perfectly cooked asparagus. My wife had the Seared Scallops, delicious and hot as well. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Schrod, $26. Very good. The broccoli, cooked with garlic, excellent.

Reservations are not accepted. 3 of us arrived around 5:15 on a beautiful Friday evening. It appeared that all of the outdoor seating was taken, however inside there were plenty of tables. The bar was full, but around 6pm there were plenty of seats freed up. SERVICE: Rebecca was excellent. I had my elderly Mom with me, and Rebecca could see her drink glass was a bit top heavy for her, so she returned later with a smaller glass with 1/2 the drink poured and delivered the second half in a separate glass. Very sweet. She is friendly and attentive. BAR: My cosmo was made perfectly, $10.50 and a generous size. Chard was $12 and an average pour. FOOD: The complimentary bread was a bit dry and stale and the olive oil served with it was watery. As we were not there for the free bread we didn't complain or send it back, just put it aside. The Schrod was very good, light, fresh and flaky. The Sea Scallops were very good, however, way overpriced at $36. Guessing the $10 premium might have been due to little lobster bits in the rice, but this dish would have been perfect with no lobster bits at around $26-28. The sautéed mussels app, $16, was excellent and a generous portion - Mom ate them as her entree. ATMOSPHERE: We were placed at a table in the front corner of the restaurant and that section has more of a kitchen feel. If I come back, I'll wait for outdoor seating as that area seemed really nice. There is an admin fee of 3% added to every bill. There is small print on the menu pointing this out, but can be easily overlooked.

Too noisy, couldn't hear ourselves talk. Food was okay, nothing special. Prices were reasonable.

I was in the area for yet another specialist appointment and was not feeling in the best spirit…read more Since it was a fasting appointment, I was pretty hungry so the hubby brought me here. I don't know if I was starving, unhappy or what but this place and meal hit the spot and hit it hard. I thought I deserved a drink so I got a Guinness, which was thankfully on tap so yah! I got the bourbon steak tips with steak fries and opted for a garden salad instead of the green beans - yes, yes, and yes! Steak tips were perfectly flavorful and cooked just right for my taste. I really wanted fries and (unlike some of my family/friends) I actually like steak fries and they were cooked up just the way I like'em (crisp outside, not too mushy on the inside). The salad though, yah it was basic and yet not - all kinds of different colored tomatoes which actually had great flavor to them, and it was not just a couple but quite a few and they were "fresh". That is basically what I loved about the salad - not your typical anemic looking/tasting salad but with mixed greens (not just lame looking iceberg) and full of other veggies. The server also could not have been nicer (like I said I went through a lot that day so seeing a friendly face was nice) and always checking on us. I think we made a great choice in stopping here - it was a 4:30 on a Tuesday and it was busy. Good sign!

Bottom line... it doesn't get much better than Dillon's Local…read more My only gripe is that it's a little small, so if your timing isn't right, you might be waiting for a table -- but honestly, that's part of the charm. It has that cozy hometown pub feel: sports on, music playing, and a great local vibe. The staff treats you like you've been coming in for years, making you feel like a regular right away -- and that's definitely a good thing. Homemade comfort food that hits on every level, a delicious menu from top to bottom, and a drink menu that complements it perfectly. And by the way... the Guinness pours well!

First time we've made it to opening day (April 1st) and it did not disappoint. They've added a beautiful and innovative pergola style dining area just outside the doorway. The area is heated, has louvered roof slats that can close during inclement weather, and has LED lighting that can be adjusted (color and light level). A wonderful addition and certainly welcome during those sporadic times when showers pass through. Food was fresh and well prepared. Staff was attentive and took great care of everyone. So nice to see so many familiar faces (staff and guests). Looking forward to the 2026 season.

They have made a new outside area that is beautifully done and has made the restaurant even more desirable because you are basically sitting in the marina with the ocean at your side! Anyway they always aim to please.. doesn't get any better than that! Thank you to the entire staff!

Onion rings were not good IMO (onion stayed too raw, though the coating was decent). The fish was quite good (although it wasn't beer battered, but it wasn't breaded either). The shrimp and scallops were decent and while I factually know people think their fried clams are quite good, I've confirmed, yet again, that I just don't like clams. I think my boyfriend's chicken fingers may have been my favorite though Followed by the fish, then the shrimp, then the scallops.

For those who don't like fried, I've heard their baked Haddock (done 3 ways) is very good. Kids menu. Cole slaw is included but you have request it. Cole Slaw was just OK, no seasoning but a bit of verdure in an otherwise fried fantasy. I ordered the Fried Clams-what else in New England? Market Price was $29 "with bellies". They were pretty good. Woods in town may be slightly better but the best spice is the view. Service isn't really, order your drinks at the bar, order your food at the window, a server will bring it to you. That's all you need to know. One of the best views in Plymouth but definitely picnic tables in the sand kind of place, bathing suits and beachwear.

We were seated right away, though the high-top tables near the door were freezing; guests with winter jackets and hats looked like they were braving the arctic. Our waitress didn't come by for about 15 minutes, which we didn't mind initially. When she arrived, she seemed a bit awkward. We ordered drinks and asked about the $9 chowder, specifically if it came in a bowl or cup. She confidently said it was a "bigggg giant bowl" and suggested we split it. When the chowder finally arrived, we were disappointed. I may have counted three small potatoes in my bowl, and the crackers seemed to take up most of the space. If you're craving chowder in Plymouth, there are many better and more reasonably priced options. We are new homeowners and cook lovely meals daily, so the few times we go out these days, we really look forward to enjoying the atmosphere and getting exactly what we are paying for. We're not overly fancy--pubs and taverns are our jam. Sitting at the bar, we finally enjoyed our meals. The bar staff were great, and the actual meal itself was VERY good. However, it seemed like if you're not a "regular," the attention and welcoming feel can be inconsistent unless you're seated at the bar. In short: good food, okay bar service, but inconsistent front-of-house experience.
