Southwest Shrimp Appetizer
Widgie C.

My friend and I were in the mood for a good steak. Longhorn Steakhouse came to mind based on my previous experiences. We were lucky enough to have Sharon as our server. She constantly checked in with us. We started with a mango and a dragonfruit margarita. Both were delicious ! I liked getting a frosted glass and a shaker. Sharon asked us if we wanted bread. We did and it was warm and delicious. Both of us ordered a salad. My friend remarked how the salad was great because it had lots of lettuce and vegetables. I am picky about thousand island dressing and the restaurant's dressing was tasty like my Mom's. Both of us ordered a filet with different temperatures. Then I ordered a loaded baked potato. My friend ordered asparagus. Sharon advised that it was an up charge. I love restaurant honesty! When our meals arrived we were both extremely pleased. Both steaks were exactly cooked as ordered. We enjoyed every morsel. We'd started with the southwest shrimp. We were getting full at this point so both of us brought steak home. Sharon was attentive to the end of our dinner. Very pleased. I also noticed that several of the staff vacuumed the dining area multiple times. The restaurant was clean and well decorated in their Western theme. We were so happy with our experience and we will definitely return!

I'm a huge fan of Longhorns Steakhouse!! Steaks are excellent!! My wife always gets and enjoys the salmon. The side dishes are also excellent!! I get the baked potato. My wife gets the broccoli. Bread is always fresh & warm!! Highly recommend!!

My family had Randy as our server . I can tell he is a veteran. Double Checked the order for 8 and really flexible with orders when things seemed off (raspberry lemonade instead of raspberry tea etc). Has a good memory too or at least decent. Some of my relatives thought the quality of the meat wasn't the best. I was fine with it and felt it was pay for what you get. They tried to compare it with a local meat place but I feel the places are not comparable. Sure, the meat could've been more juicy and tender, but it was certainly still presentable and edible without that higher caliber that maybe you'd expect at a Morton's or Ruth Chris's. I get the sense he enjoys his job but that the work in general can be very tiring for most. He is good at carrying stuff too. All of the sides I saw and had were excellent. (brussel sprouts, grownups mac and cheese, salad). The bread was excellent. I had no room for dessert but I will buy a dessert at the one local to me instead lol. Friend's Card was dropped but luckily I found it on the floor.

Special deal on front page of our Newspaper!

We normally come here for lunch it is is always good. We love the Salmon and the Napa Chicken. Salmon Salad or just Salmon dinner. Recently they did a coupon on the front page of our Newspaper (Valley News Dispatch) BOGO Lunch deal on the "BONUS STRIP" ...wow this makes the decision a "no brainier" when deciding where to go for lunch up here. Kirsten always does a great job! Keep up the great work guys!! See you soon!

Idaho Baked Potato and grilled chicken with vegetables

We ordered take out so I didn't expect this to look very pretty when we opened it and that was accurate. We had a mixed experience. The food was packaged correctly which is half the battle when we order out. Everything was right. My food was good, the side salad was really fresh and the fruit on it was awesome, ripe and sweet. The baked potato was cooked perfectly and my chicken was delicious. The steak for my son (kids sirloin) was over done and too tough for him as a result and my husband's filet was under done. He requested medium and it wasn't quite there. Disappointing considering the price of the 10 oz steak. We know there's a risk to correctly prepped food when we order out so typically we don't do steakhouses for takeout and we likely will stick to dining in for this reason in the future. I gave a 3 out of 5 but would likely give an extra star if we ate in as we've always been pleased.

Hit it miss here. But on point when it is. Okay prices. Could be more competitive. But i understand inflation is a killer.

I don't usually post to much about food but I feel compelled to today…read more My wife and I decided to try Tastefully Blessed Smokehouse in Springdale and were blown away! The service right off the bat was incredible. Extremely friendly and personable and happy to help with any questions. The building was just your standard storefront but the inside gave a nice vibe. The food was absolutely out of this world! We got a pound of brisket, mac n cheese and for my first time ever collard greens. The brisket was absolutely phenomenal! Extremely tender but not falling apart and seasoned perfectly. The Mac n cheese...no question best I've ever had. And for never having collard greens, I was blown away. Everything I've ever seen with them has been they're great or terrible, and these were great! If you haven't yet do yourself a huge favor and give them a try!

I ordered online and as I tried to pay, it wouldn't let me I called and it turns out they had ran out of baked beans that were in my cart so I couldn't get them, which is fine. The girl on the phone was really nice and said she could take my order over the phone, but I just continued online and took the baked beans out. I ordered the brisket cheesesteak, half rack of ribs, mac & cheese, greens, cornbread, and potato salad. I didn't eat the brisket sandwich so I don't have an opinion, although it did look really good. The ribs were a little dry, but they were falling off the bone. I personally did not like the mac & cheese. I think there was a cheese in there that I didn't like, however it was creamy and thick . The greens cornbread and potato salad were all delicious. My friend thought the greens were a little salty. I didn't, however he ate all of them. I think the potato salad had really good flavor and the cornbread was sweet and almost too moist. they give you their house barbecue sauce with the meal, which is a dark sweet sauce. I took a Carolina style sauce to go as well as an Alabama sauce just to try my favorite was the house sauce and the Carolina being a close second the Alabama was good however it wasn't really the right sauce with the chosen meat. I just wanted to taste it. The pick up process was super smooth. Everyone was nice and quick and helpful when needed. I wanna go back soon to eat in the restaurant but if you do go, make sure you go early because they ran out of maybe two items just as I was picking up my order.

Not many wing places offer oven roasted for Gluten free people and they had some sauces that were gluten free too. I ordered the mango habanero and lemon pepper dry rub. Top 3 Pittsburgh Wing…read more This is a well known spot and not at all out in New Kensington. Every time I have come out here to try a spot out I ALWAYS am impressed. If I'm taking the 50min drive I make sure it better be worth it. It was, even when I was sitting outside in 10 degree weather having them. Inside had little sit down bar, couple tables and bunch of coolers for drinks to go The wings aren't fried. They're grilled and smoked. They are PUMPING these out nonstop and people were constantly in grabbing orders and after having them makes sense We had 4 sauces. In order of favorite to least was spicy honey, garlic parm, lemon pepper and buffalo garlic parm. I'm genuinely shocked that the HGP wasn't my favorite. There wasn't a crazy amount of garlic parm there. It was about 70% buffalo which was still awesome but not what I was going for I have never once cared to order lemon pepper wings but wanted to try a dry rub and we already had a spicy wet sauce so went with that instead of the sriracha. UNREAL. You get the full experience of that grilled/smoked combo which is what makes these wings so unique/solid and what carried this. It makes me want to order just the seasoned salt ones or plain and get sauces on the side. Wings will have more of the char and make a better overall experience The garlic parm shocked me. I was expecting that to be my 3rd/4th favorite but it had the perfect amount of everything going on. Not overly buttery to ruin the whole thing and slighttttt but more garlic than parm taste Spicy honey is spicy honey. Always E L I T E This is a spot I totally understand why people argue for being the best and their favorite. HIGHLY recommend coming here and grabbing these to make your decision.

Off the Rails Barbeque and Drafthouse is a local, family-owned and -operated restaurant…read morethat serves barbecued meats, sides, sandwiches, alcoholic beverages, and more for lunch, dinner, and catering for dining in, pickup, and delivery. Their website says that they use ingredients from local farms and suppliers and make their foods fresh daily. Outside the restaurant are the smokers that they use to slow-cook the meats. The brisket and pork are said to be smoked for 12-14 hours. My husband and I ate at this restaurant years ago, but for some reason my previous review is not here. We liked Off the Rails then and still like it. Most recently, we ordered the BBQ Sampler Platter, which consisted of a 1/2 pound of brisket, 1/2 pound of pulled pork, 1/2 pound of pulled chicken, 1/2 rack of St. Louis ribs, and choice of three sides. I rate the flavors of each of these meats at 5 stars and the flavors of the mac-n-cheese, baked beans, and crispy Brussels sprouts as 4.5 stars each. The pulled pork and pulled chicken came with three bread buns to make sandwiches. I saw three house-made sauces--Carolina Gold, Kansas City, and Lexington-style Mop--and they tasted very good. The ribs were not pull-off-the-bone, but they were probably the first batch of the day. We had arrived 40 minutes after their opening time. An employee had tried to get us to substitute the ribs with another meat, but we instead decided to wait about 20 minutes for the ribs to be done. We also ordered Smoked Fried Wings, which have many available dry rubs and sauces, but we got the house seasoning with no sauce. An employee said a chupacabra rub. These wings tasted fantastic and were the best food of our meal. We LOVED their crispy and delightfully seasoned skin and their juicy insides. I do not have a receipt, but the total price for our foods and one soda should have been just under $100 plus a tip. We had leftovers and put those in large and small plastic containers that I had brought from home. (Other reviewers said that customers are not allowed to take home leftovers, but we went on a day with no special prices, and we had enough leftovers for two more meals at home!) We loved the wings so much that on "wing night" a few days later, we returned for the wings and some other sides. On Wednesdays the restaurant charges only $1 per wing. We ordered the allowed maximum of 6 wings, which we again LOVED, as well as spicy collard greens (4 stars), coleslaw (with little dressing, 3.5 stars), and cornbread (4.5 stars). Note that live music is played on certain days of the week.

Food and drinks are ready in just a few minutes and the dining area is ample with clean tables and clean floors. An upgrade of plastic utensils would be appreciated however. The chili was especially good as was the pork BBQ sandwich. Prices were reasonable to add to the experience. Parking can be a problem but there is some to be found on the other side of the street but lacks a crosswalk so be very careful.

Their menu includes entrees such as ribs, brisket, and pulled pork as well as appetizers such as nachos, fries, and macaroni that are topped with the meats. An employee immediately greeted us and gave us menus to look at. She told us that we could sit at any table of our liking. Many tables were available inside and outside, and I appreciated that the walls were open for fresh ventilation. We ordered our appetizers, and the employee told us that ribs would not be available to order for another half hour, so we waited for them. Our loaded nachos and loaded fries were topped with similar ingredients of shredded meat, jalapeno peppers, gooey cheese, and a sauce. The ingredients were fresh, and we enjoyed the flavors. Our half rack of ribs were tender, and they had a tasty seasoning that my husband wanted a little more of.

Elegance with a welcoming feel of home and delicious creations!…read more As soon as you enter, you can see the grandiose architecture of the building and decor. The simplified elegance is also accompanied by the hospitality of the staff. Warm welcomes and greeting each customer as if they are a regular creates an atmosphere that you want to be in for every meal... and you didn't even eat yet. The menu has plenty of options, but I asking for suggestions... the staff can help you to find those hidden gems of Oakmont. The fried zucchini appetizer is not your normal bread crumbed planks- but a pillowy tempura batter that is cleverly aired to avoid sogginess with their plating technique. I would highly suggest grabbing this as an app. The bread service is already fresh and delicious... but the secret sauce... ask your waiter for the dip. Yes, it now costs a little extra. But oh my word.... It is worth every scent. The Blackenzola is worth the creative name and topping! The gorgonzola is fresh and adds such a delicious crust with the balsamic glaze on top of their filet mignon. The chef cooks the meat to perfection and it is a great meal. The green beans are a great vegetable option. The mashed potatoes make sense to be a Chef's Choice. The piping on the plate is beautiful - and they are smooth and creamy! After eating such good food, you have to say yes to just see the Dessert menu... and the tiramisu was calling my name. They give you a large portion and you can taste the freshness of this decadent dessert. All in all, Hoffstot's is a place that you will feel welcome, you will want to come back, and they will probably remember you.. or at least make you feel like part of the family.
