I hadn't been to LongHorn in quite a few years before my recent visit. We ate there on a weeknight with a small group of family members. We were seated immediately but unfortunately upon entering, I noticed that there was a musty/stale water smell that took over the entry. Our waitress was super sweet and attentive to us. It must've been a little slow because the bread we were brought was pretty rock/hard (no exaggeration. I had never seen anything quite like it). I think she knew this and offered to bring a new one right away when it was finished cooking. For my meal, I ended up ordering a house salad with Henry mustard dressing and a filet/lobster tail with mashed potatoes. My food was definitely the redeeming factor for our visit. I found my steak to be cooked perfectly and the lobster tail was also quite good. Overall, I think LoneStar is a good budget steakhouse. I hope this location can get it together a little more. read more

I've been here a few times in the past year while traveling for work. I'm writing this review in particular for my experience yesterday and two weeks ago. Yesterday, Caden, my server was beyond attentive and even got me a to-go drink since I was staying in a hotel! Made my entire day. He was kind and never let me go thirsty. The atmosphere was great, the restaurant was clean and quiet (early dinner). Both visits my ribeye was cooked to perfection (med-rare) and seasoned so well I required no steak sauce! Loved the brussel sprouts and sweet potato! The corn was tried a little under a year ago, really liked it as well. I also love the appetizer onions but would suggest just ranch for dipping (personal taste preference). I will be back! read more

We were in town on business and I wanted to eat steak. We wanted something reasonably priced and the hotel concierge said this would be a viable option without breaking the bank. Service was very attentive. I only wish I remembered our servers name because she went above and beyond. The space was very large and tables were spread out, the look reminded me a bit of another steakhouse chain here in the Bay. Maybe it's a standard look. The food. Ugh. Was salty. Nearly everything was over salted. The salad was over doused in dressing, I should have asked for it on the side and dressed it myself. They seated us in a section that was apparently closed. After about five minutes, the manager came to apologize, explain, and took a drink order. He also took my card for a free Texas tunion from a previous visit with poor service. He brought our drinks and asked if we wanted some bread... at the same time he took the order of the other table that had been seated in error. We anticipated maybe he would come back and take our order as well. We're waiting on our bread. We're still waiting for our order to be taken 20 minutes after we arrived. The server brought a Texas tonion to the table next to us along with their salads and then she took it back to the kitchen... We've been here 25 minutes. Still no bread. Still no one taking our order. Finally, the traveling Texas tunion made it to our table. We asked the server to get us the manager. We've now been here 30 minutes. No manager. No order taken. The manager didn't bother to come out to apologize. He just sent the server out with our original comp card. ETA 12/26/25 We have received an email from Corporate. It addresses our concerns point by point, almost too accurately (AI?) We've received a $25 e-card, though if we use it I'm not sure it will be at the same location. This experience stings for a couple of reasons. 1) this has been our go to (chain) steakhouse for years. We frequent it at least once a month. 2) the other pain point was this was our anniversary. I keep a wallet in my vehicle of gift cards, loyalty cards, etc. and I just happen to see the comp card in the back. I can't even tell you how many years old it was. (It was signed by Toni.) If this was a server issue, it would be easy to move on as servers come and go. But our disappointment is with management. read more

Outback has the bloomin onion and the Roadhouse has that anazing bread/food happy hour deals, so they may be slight favorites, but if I want a steak, I wouldn't hesitate coming back here. read more

They had. 4 items on their lunch special 2 of which were salads for about 10-10.99 .My sister got the steak salad and I got the cheeseburger side of lobster chowder and we were planning on splitting it. Quick date night out with my amazing husband I had the filet with Mac and cheese and a sweet potato. It was cooked to perfection, the Mac and cheese was really good and the sweet potato was perfect with extra toppings. Husband had the tbone steak with a sweet potato and salad. I didn't like the steak it was wayyyy to fatty and not the greatest flavor, salad needed a tad more dressing (were spoiled with olive garden salads) and the sweet potato was same as mine- perfect. Over all a great experience. Very short staffed as they seemed to be running around a little crazy but over all a good experience. A lot out of our price range but it was ok because we had a gift card. We may be back maybe not as there are other places we thoroughly enjoy for far better steaks. read more

When will we ever learn? We have given Longhorn too many chances and last night will be our last. We love sitting at the bar when we are out to dinner. We've met some wonderful people not only fellow diners but bar staff as well. Such is not the case, meaning the latter, at Longhorn. From the moment you sit down you are ignored. They never have a designated bartender for starter, so you sit there hoping that one of the wait staff take pity on you and offer their service. Last night was the worst. We Eventually had a woman come ask us what we would like to drink. It took easily 15-20 minutes to get our drinks because she was waiting on other customers that actually came in after we did, but they were sitting at tables, so they were a higher priority than we were, apparently. She had taken complimentary bread to these tables so when she finally brought our drinks, I asked for bread to which she said, "Are you eating at the bar?" I replied yes and about 15 minutes later, we got our bread. We ordered our dinner, ate and left. Not once have we ever felt welcome sitting at their bar, a far cry from every other restaurant we have ever visited. Why have a beautiful bar but no one designated to take care of your customers that decide to sit and dine there. As I said, never again. read more

This is Omaha and there are a lot of great steak houses in the city. This is not one of them. Placed a take-out order and the guy tells me to show up in 20 minutes. I arrive five minutes early but the doors are locked. Have to stand out in the cold for 10 minutes knocking on the windows before a guy with a shaved head finally comes out and tells me I'll take your money but you got to stay outside. Then he wanders around the restaurant (hello? You do understand people can see through windows right? Evidently this guy does not understand that concept) farting around while I'm standing outside in 10° weather with a strong wind. Fun. When the guy brings out my food he starts chewing me out saying "that's why we tell people to get here before closing." Well Mr. super happy fun manager, your guy didn't tell me that. Matter of fact he told me to come 10 minutes later. When I get home I find out the genius manager decided he's going to leave a bunch of stuff out of my order. When I call back He interrupts me every time I start to speak telling me that it's my fault and I'm the problem. If you looked up the definition of customer service it would show a picture of every person on the planet except for this joker. Used to eat here weekly. Will never eat here again. read more

We went to LongHorn tonight for a great meal. Always have a great experience here. Waiter took forever to get to us. No waiting line, but it was brisk business. My companion had prime rib that looked absolutely wonderfully prepared, and he consumed with gusto. Baked potato, a little dry. I had the 6 oz. sirloin and seasoned french fries. The sirloin had nearly a teaspoon of black pepper on top. I scraped it off, but the meat absorbed the heat. The meat drippings soaked into the fries and made them too spicy to eat. I don't have good luck returning food to the kitchen. The salad and bread were great. I never did get a refill of my iced tea. Sorry, LongHorn. You earned this one. read more

I like Longhorn. I do. It's moderately priced and you get some good quality dead animal. Sure they sell other stuff that didn't use to exist at a petting zoo but people come to Longhorn to put a piece of a mutilated animal in their head. But I got a bone to pick with a steakhouse...and call it bad timing. You all know D'Brickashaw, the Food-loving T-Rex, right? Well he use to have another tag line to his name. I won't use it anymore because, Saturday I dealt with some things, in a grown up manner and figured I'd let the angst go and treat D'Brickashaw as less of a tool to cope with a divorce in a bitter way but as simply a running gag that adds a bit of whimsy to my reviews. It helps! So yea...Saturday I grew up and stuff and decided the best way to treat myself for doing that was to channel my inner Ron Swanson and get meat!!! I can haz meatz!!! I walked in with 3 specific things in my pockets. A Darden gift card (free meal) and a $5 bill and a $10 bill. I knew my lunch was gonna be free but that was my secret. I wanted to just walk in, alone, weird guy covered in tattoos, and see what happened. I knew my meal would be under $20 so the two bills would be an awesome tip or an awesomer tip. It would depend on service...and...He got the $5. And it took a team to get him that $5. The initial opening was good. Got my menu, water and bread quick, as I had the entire side of the restaurant to my onesies. There was a larger group on the other and a couple small families. But my side was mine!!! I prowled the menu and settled on an 11 oz steak and the fried artichoke harvest. It was new and I wanted it. Sadly...I'd want it for the next 15 minutes. My waiter never returned. He tended to his party and took drink orders, meal orders and was probably a few minutes from delivering said orders to a family that showed up AFTER me. Hisss!!!! I pride myself on my bottomless pit of patience. My former dinner mate was far less patient. She use to be in the dinner service industry, so she'd get venomous over such an oversight. She would have stormed the place. Bless her. I, on the other hand, bided my time, giving him every chance to see me peeking over the ledge to the booth where the family, who got there after me, was being treated to 5 star service. I let him have one more lap. Then i went full "Battle Stations, Target human, Mission: DESTROY. By this, I mean I gently got the attention of the Waitress dame, as she passed by and said, calmly, "I hate to bother, but my waiter hasn't returned to take my order and I know he's been over there, diligently working, but I'm pretty sure he's forgot about me, as he did serve that family and they were here after me." She swiftly acknowledged that she had seen me sitting here for a bit, with no attention, thinking my order was already taken. She proceeded to take my order and, to my best hopes, told the waiter that I demanded he reprimand himself in a manner dictated in the Bushido code of honor. I dunno...that would have been knarly. She must have told him because for the duration of my stay, he made it a point to stop by my table every 5 minutes. And that was on top of the visits from my savior waitress dame. I got visited a lot. The artichoke harvest plate came. And it was good, light breading, not too greasy, the veggies still had a veggie taste. It was good with the spicy ranch goop. By the time my plate was clean, out came my medium rare steak, cooked how I liked it. It was good. But it was bittersweet as service can sour a palate before a bite of food touches your tongue. As my opening sentence said, I like Longhorn. I do...A lot. But today it was just good with an aftertaste that wasn't what I really needed. They tried to make it up and gave me the appetizer for free and I accepted the REPEATED apologies and still enjoyed my meal. I pulled out my gift card and the $5 and put it in the bill thingy. The waiter asked, "So some off the card and the $5?". "No, all off the card and the $5 (a 25% tip) is for you." Burn!!!!!!! I took care of you better than you did for me!! Kill em with kindness!!! Suck it!!! I'm a nice guy in an evil "makes you think" way!!! Gwahahahahahahahahaha!!!! Vengeance was mine...Ron Swanson. So I left, a little brought down by the experience but I didn't leave angry because I was having a very PMA (Positive Mental Attitude) Day. I still rewarded the attempt to make it up to me and I still had a good meal. All I can say is I'm 5ft 6in. I'm short, not invisible. But I do tend to stick out. So it's weird to feel forgotten. Bummer, right. I handled it well but I'm not the one hired to handle things well in this business.
