Update to my Bonefish review: Still 4 stars... some things improved while new issues arose. The texture of the mashed potatoes is much improved. In my last review I talked about how chunky and unpleasant they were. There are still some small chunks, but they are soft and the dish is much creamier and more enjoyable to eat. Glad they fixed that. Not sure if they had this last time, but I love the simply grilled menu. Ideal for people who are looking for a nice piece of fish and some sides, and the addition of a small sauce on the side is a perfect way to elevate flavors. Also easy for those who are watching their calories. The timing of things coming out of the kitchen was not ideal for us. The drink came out from the bar maybe a minute before the salad, so it took a while. And then we only had salads for a few minutes before they brought the entrées. They've also introduced those portable POS machines that the servers carry around. I understand there are many pros for these, but honestly, I really dislike them. It makes it really awkward to figure the tip and look at the bill while the server is just standing there waiting for you. It always makes me feel rushed and super awkward. I just wish they hadn't introduced these because in my opinion, it negatively affects the guest experience. All in all some good things, so I'm not so good things, but a solid experience at the Bonefish at Regency. read more

It's safe to say we're not coming here again. This my husband's first time to bonefish. We went with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday. I've only been here for a Yelp event, but I really enjoyed myself. My friends had been and we were all expecting good food and great service. It started off good with appetizers and our server brought out drinks right away. We were chatting and having a good time until our entrées came out. They were all delicious except for my husband. He ordered a medium steak, but it came out rare. That was fine. They took it back, but it came back a second time a little more charred on the outside, but still RARE. By this time, everybody was about done with their food we were trying to flag down a server find a manager someone can help us. But to our dismay, we honestly couldn't find anyone for a good 20 to 30 minutes. My friend got out of her seat and walked around to find the manager. Sad to say they didn't really care. By the time the server came we let her know and she just said sorry they will remove it from the bill. My husband left last night without any dinner. He only had a few appetizers, but he was done after that. We were very dissatisfied and I don't know if it was because they were short staffed but this was very disappointing. I also wanted to mention how crowded it felt with the tables. When I first got in I went to the restroom to wash my hands and had to maze my way through the tables. When I got into the restrooms, there were chairs stacked up in the women's restroom. It was also very dirty and kind of gross. I know my husband will never want to come back, which is a bit of a bummer for me because I really like the food but oh well. The positive aspects were the rest of us ordered seafood, and that was all great. The sides now come separately and are gigantic. The greeter was friendly and seated us quickly. Bonefish is a great restaurant for a wide array of events. It can be a casual lunch, anniversary, graduation dinner, etc. The staff is very insightful with the items on their menu and willing to answer any questions people may have. My favorite thing we ordered were their staple bang bang shrimp. There isn't too much of a spice on the shrimp which I appreciated. My pasta was fine. I feel the sauce which was lemony garlic lacked flavor in my opinion but the shrimp was cooked well and seasoned well also. I was surprised with the large portions of their food. read more

We had a gift card and decided to swing by Bonefish grill on a Saturday night around 5pm! We were able to walk right in and got seated and at our preferred preference of a booth! We ordered the Ahi Tuna Nachos on the Happy Hour, a steal for $9! Of course we had to get the bang bang shrimp, all flavor and no spicy, which is our preference! They did bring our complimentary bread with oil and seasoning, delicious! My husband got the shrimp and scallops scampi, he said barely any flavor. I got the grilled fish 3 tacos with fries, DELICIOUS!! I would love to pick a star of the show, but honestly everything was 10/10! Food was very good and we had plenty to eat. I had the special scallops and butter fish. I was hoping for sea scallops but got bay. This place is one of my favorite go to spots. Never disappointed.(except when they removed the cucumber margarita off the menu a year or so ago.) Now I have a new favorite. The passionfruit margarita is excellent! My Chilean Seabass was excellent as always, AND my service was 10 out of 10! My waitress name was Mikayla. Second time trying Bonefish and this time I ordered the Lilys chicken. I loved this dish! It reminds me very much like my favorite dish at Carrabas, the Chicken Bryan, I went and googled it and it turns out they're owned by the same company so it made perfect sense. It's very similiar to the Carrabas version with the goat cheese and lemon sauce, this one just has artichoke and spinach on top. It was delicious. Mashed potatoes were light and had a nice garlic tone. I subbed the broccoli to try the Mexican corn and it was also very good. It's seasoned well but not spicy which is perfect for me. As a non seafood eater, it's wonderful to have non seafood options be equally as delicious at a seafood focused restaurant. I'd definitely come back for the chicken! read more

What can I say that others haven't? I made early reservations and this was my girlfriend first visit so it was special that we attended on Valentine Day. Our server Dylan was very attentive, took our drink orders and explained the entrees for this ocassion. My girlfriend who enjoys salmon at many of our locations had the Old Fashioned Salmon while my choice was the chicken and shrimp. Hopefully the photo's give justice to our meals which were very good. Stopped by Bonefish Grill and overall experience was good! Pretty quiet around lunch time and there was only 1 person running between the main dining area and bar which made ordering a little longer than planned. Regardless, many good options on the menu to choose from! Bang bang shrimp - 5/5 - fried shrimp with an amazing sauce and a must try when here Ahi Tuna Poké dip - 5/5 fresh and a great dip with chips to come with it! Filet minion and crab cake combination dish - solid 3.5/5- cook was perfect but whatever seasoning they use is WAY TO MUCH! It's crazy super salty with every bite I took from the filet. Would recommend cutting back on that seasoning and this great cut of meat can easily be 4 or 5 stars. Crab cake was alright, nothing too spectacular and was a bit too mushy for my personal preference Overall, good place to get some good food and the place just needs a few tweaks to step up to the get level read more

Went here for the first time with a group of friends Monday night. Greeting staff very friendly. Appetizers were good. Had an entree that came out raw 2x. Was taken off of the bill. Service was not attentive during dinner. Had to get a manager. Manager did not even come to check on us after complaint of food. Overall poor experience. This is one of my favorite restaurants ever! The food is always on point. I've had lots of bang bang shrimp, and Bonefish is by far my favorite. I've had steak, shrimp and salmon from here and they've all been delicious Also, their sangria is my favorite drink! Always taste so fresh and sweet. Never had a bad experience here. It's been remodeled...it looks more upscale....Their bang bang shrimp did not disappoint..juicy and crunchy with yummy bang bang sauce..calamari was perfection..not rubbery ...cooked perfectly with some red peppers too and a slice of lemon for that punch of acidity...the fresh bread and pesto olive oil was to die for!! We both had the blackened fish tacos with cabbage and mango salsa...excellent! I had the kung pao brussel sprouts..amazing...Dean had French fries with his and they were the best crunchy fresh fries I've had in a long time! I live right near this Bonefish, so have had it many times and it's always excellent quality. The restaurant has an upscale ambiance, but is not stuffy in the slightest, and not too hard on the pocketbook. My favorite things to order are the Bang Bang Shrimp and Maple Plank Salmon. As I said, we have eaten there quite a few times, so recently we decided to do delivery and see if that held up to the in-person quality. First off, everything arrived well packaged and still warm, which is a feat when you're ordering delivery (in winter) nowadays. Even though we weren't eating at the restaurant, they still included the free bread with the little cups of olive oil for dipping. That made me very happy! I got my normal starter of the Bang Bang Shrimp and it came as plain shrimp with the Bang Bang sauce on the side. I am guessing that is to make it not soggy in transport, but it also takes away some of the sauce soaking into the shrimp, so it's a give and take. What was weird about that was that my husband ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos as his entree and they DID come with the Bang Bang sauce on the shrimp in each taco. So I wonder if that traveled better than Bang Bang Shrimp by itself, maybe. My husband let me try one of his tacos and they were absolutely delicious. The lettuce on them was a little stringy but I don't blame them for that - lettuce does not travel well in any circumstance. We also ordered the Kung Pao Brussels Sprouts as a little starter/side item and they were super tasty. The description said they were spicy, but it didn't have the "spice" the menu stated, but I was totally fine with that (as a wimp to super spiciness). They were more sweet and tangy than spicy. I would definitely order again! For my entree, I got my standard Maple Plank Salmon and it arrived on actual wood plank, like it does in the restaurant, which I loved. It was high quality and had the perfect light taste of salmon with the sweetness of the maple glaze (I ordered extra!) I got the Whipped Potatoes as my side and they were buttery and flavorful, even without any sort of gravy or topping! Now that I've eaten in the physical Bonefish restaurant many times and done at home as well, I can say that both are good options for high quality fare that holds up, even in delivery. read more

I was working in town near Bonefish Grill so had several meals there. A carry out salad for lunch was just OK. That night I had a salmon entrée for dinner, which was very nicely done. Final visit was a fillet that took three times to get it cooked properly. First time was overdone, second fillet was rare and that went back to get to medium. Once properly cooked, it was tasty. Staff is friendly and restaurant was a little messy. There were some tortillas chips on the floor near my booth that were not picked up the whole time I was dining. I was dining there. I stopped in with a friend to grab drinks and some apps and headed for the bar on a bustling Thursday night. Our bartender, was super attentive and recommended some wonderful drinks. I tried the pineapple martini and it was SO good, but opted for a full size Cosmopolitan. It was my first cosmo of my life, and certainly not my last! We sampled some apps, like the crab cakes, bang bang shrimp, and potstickers. My favorite was the pot stickers, they were plump and full of flavor. We rounded out the evening with an espresso martini, again, this was only my second ever and it was DELISH! It has been a hot minute since the last time I went to Bonefish, but my last visit reminded me why I love it. A friend and I visited on a Tuesday, and there was a special for an two salads, two entrees, two signature sides per person, and a dessert. I opted for the caesar salad, mashed potatoes, Brussels, Lily's chicken, and we split the key lime pie cake. I was very impressed by the dishes, especially the healthy portion of goat cheese - my weakness - on the chicken. The Brussels were just ok; I think I would go with a different side in the future. The key lime cake was a HUGE portion, and so good - and I say this as someone who avidly describes themselves as "not a cake person." For a drink, I had the pineapple martini which is SO good if you are a pineapple fan. One of the best aspects of the evening was the friendly service. From the hosts, the server, the food runner, every single person was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Stop by here next time you're near Regency! read more

This is typically where my husband and I like to go for our anniversary. We are very comfortable with it and always know what we want to eat! The remodel that they did looks nice and the space feels a lot more bright and open. Two nights ago I came here for happy hour with friends. The wait staff was very kind and attentive and made sure that we had what we needed at all times. We ended up splitting a plate of BLT nachos and an order of calamari. I was still left a little hungry after that, so I ended up getting a bowl of soup. The food was pretty good but it wasn't super amazing. I did really like my two drinks though. I got the pineapple crush and the blueberry lemon drop. I feel like they used to have a better happy hour pre-Covid as far as prices and variety of the actual happy hour menu. Worst experience at a bonefish. We arrived around 9pm. We were seated. We waited a while for the server that the host had to get her. She took our order. After we received our appetizer, I asked her about fresh bread. She said that she would get some. Dinner arrived next, it was overcooked. We waited for the server to check on us, we were going to order a different dish. By the time she came over everyone at the table was done eating. Our drinks were never refilled. They took the dish off the bill but the server did not pick up the plates. She dropped off the bill then we had to wait again. Need I mention that the dessert menu was never offered. FOOD: The food on the menu is around $20-30. I've tried a variety of menu items from multiple visits over the past few years. The only items that have stood out were the bang bang shrimp and the crispy Brussels sprouts. The fish is good, but not memorable. This most recent time, I ordered the steak and I do not recommend! I should've known since they are a seafood restaurant, but got it anyways. The steak was cooked fine, but it tasted cheap, tough & chewy. The cookies were kind of an odd menu addition for a nice restaurant, but they tasted room temp and a little hard as if they were a day old. The seasonal pumpkin lava cake was delicious though. SERVICE: Our waitress seemed a little on edge and others at my table thought she was rude. However, everyone has bad days and I understand customer service isn't easy. She did refill our drinks and took our orders quickly on a good note. Overall, the food has not been memorable (other than the bang bang shrimp) even though I've been there a handful of times. One of my new favorite Omaha restaurants!! My husband hates seafood and loved the steak and Mac and cheese. The scallops were cooked perfectly and at a very reasonable price.
