Just moved to the area and we're hungry after a long day of moving. Found this steakhouse close by our UHaul drop and decided to stop for lunch. Today is the day after Christmas so the restaurant was not very busy. When we arrived they were holding open the door with big smiles and welcomed us kindly. We found a spot at the bar and Rachel came right over with menus and asked for our drink order. My husband had a markers mark and I had a margarita. We ordered a shrimp appetizer while we drank. We both ordered the outlaw ribeye and it does NOT disappoint. Cooked perfect for a medium rare, I had rice with broccoli plus a side salad. The restaurant was clean, well lit and I enjoyed the decor. Went in later in the evening on Halloween. There were only about 5 other tables being served so we should've been able to have good service and good food. Normally we do well with Longhorn, it not this night. We ordered the Parmesan Crusted Chicken with a sweet potato and the 6 piece chicken tenders with seasoned rice. I got a hot tea and my spouse ordered his usual peach tea. The chicken was chewy almost congealed. The sweet potato was fine not sure how you mess that up. My hot tea had a bug in it that was still alive swimming around in the hot water mug the waitress brought to my table. I didn't notice it until after I had been sipping on it. Absolutely disgusting!!! My spouse was very disappointed in his chicken tenders as they were smaller than normal portions and very dried out with a strange oil taste. He even said his rice was too dry. He doesn't complain much about food, but this was a meal he did not like. His peach tea was also very syrupy and way too sweet compared to other times he's had it. Hopefully just an off night but it definitely was a big disappointment for both of us especially $45 later and that's before tip!!! read more

The food, ambience and service was all standout great!!! I was skeptical because of the of the reviews, but my granddaughter said I would love the rack of lamb. Oh boy was she right! It was delicious, cooked exactly as ordered and it came with spinach and I still had to order two sides. (my granddaughter also ordered the lamb) I ordered a salad and a baked sweet potato. The waitress was very attention and that bread service was awesome!!! I give my dinner and experience five stars. I didn't get a photo of my meal, but go to the website to see photo. First time visiting Longhorn Steakhouse (LS) in O'Fallon, Missouri a short drive from downtown STL. Stopped by for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and was seated quickly. LS had the traditional fanfare you expect when visiting a steakhouse. Our server arrived quickly and took our drink order. LS has separate menus for lunch or dinner but you can order full entrees if you're hungry. We went with the lunch specials fir $9.99 and had several choices to choose from. The buttermilk chicken sandwich was delicious and perfectly seasoned. We also ordered a bacon cheeseburger with fries. We also ordered stuffed mushrooms with cheese and crispy Brussel sprouts. Everything was served hot. Restaurant was clean and tables were serviced quickly. LS did have a great selection of Country music which was a nice compliment to our experience. We did notice lots of takeout/pickup orders during our visit so the word is out LS is pretty good. Great visit and will be back for dinner and a cocktail. read more

My wife and I had dinner here last night. We've eaten here many times in the past and all have been good expierences. That ended last night. I ordered a 6 oz Flo's filet with fries and a dinner salad w/ ranch. I remember when they used to provide the dressing on the side and I really liked that it was not thick, and I could control how much I added. That train has left the station. The ranch now is thicker than mayonnaise and globs of it throughout a small dinner salad. Too sweet and much too salty. I took two bites and gave it back to the waitress. Then I received my steak and fries. I ordered med rare and it came as ordered, but with no char, and the color of gray/brown. It was extremely salty as was the fries. Totally unedible. The steak quality was less than choice, filets are not supposed to have gristle veins. One bite and I was done eating dinner. Sent it back. I'm not one to give chefs second chances at my food. Started with scrumptious chicken wings app accompanied with long pour Mango Margarita with just the right amount of liquor. Fresh mini loaf bread brought to the table. Today on November 1 2025 we went to Longhorn steakhouse to celebrate my Daughter Mother's in law Birthday! My son in law ordered chicken tenders with fries before hand for their 1 year old son. The chicken tenders and fries were Very salty. I ordered lemon garlic chicken with crispy Brussel sprouts with a side of fries and they were also very salty. Her father in law ordered steak with a side of asparagus and they too were very salty We thought maybe the cook over salted the first batch of but my daughter ordered chicken tender and they to were salty. We to,d our waitress and ask her to take it off the order because they were too salty. If you are watching your sodium intake don't eat at longhorn steakhouse because the food was very salty. We will not be visiting Longhorn Steakhouse again it was a unpleasant experience because we couldn't eat our food. Our waitress told us we should have ordered no salt. A causal dinner on a Sunday night,Texas roadhouse is normally our go to but the wait was over an hour so we came here instead! To start off we ordered the spinach artichoke dip, and the chicken wings for appetizers, both were very filling and generous portions that will leave you questioning dinner. The allusion to an engine is justified: established restaurants should be smooth running operations at optimum performance: Today for lunch Longhorn was a well run machine. From the greeting we got, to the server we got, to the meals we got, to the exit 'thank you' we got--everything was finely tuned with seamless transitions. Meals were correct, correctly prepared, and seasoned well. A salad wasn't overly or underly dressed, nor was broccoli over or undercooked. The ribeye--perfect. The food was poor quality and the meals arrived cold, which immediately ruined our experience. At a steakhouse, you expect hot, freshly prepared food, and this was far from it. Service: The server completely forgot about me. I sat waiting for refills and basic attention, but it felt like I was invisible. By the time I finally got someone's attention, the damage was already done. The overall experience was terrible. Dining out should feel welcomed and enjoyable, but instead I felt left out and ignored. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because customers deserve better. Cold food and being rushed is unacceptable, especially at a restaurant that prides itself on Quality and Cleanliness. They have a full bar , kid friendly and have daily lunch specials. I had the Parmesan crusted chicken with a side salad and mashed potatoes. The chicken was crusted with garlic and Parmesan and was so delicious and tender, mashed potatoes were perfect and the salad was great loader with diced tomato's , cucumbers and cheese. I've recently had to start eating gluten free for medical reasons and have found it slightly challenging to eat out. It isn't worth being "glutened" and suffering for days. On top of that, many places have quite a limited GF menu so options are limited. Luckily, Longhorn is not one of them. We live in Wentzville (where there is a Texas Roadhouse) but specifically made the trek to this location because of the menu. So many options and they were very accommodating! I can't remember our server's name but he was personable, kind, and understanding. I'd wanted the stuffed mushrooms and asked if they were GF, to which he said they could be - he'd simply ask the kitchen to hold the breadcrumbs. And no croutons on the salad? No problem. I've had some experiences where asking for GF or for more info an item was met with eye rolls and irritation, but not here. I still do as much research beforehand as possible so as not to burden the server, but I needn't have worried here. He was so nice about it all. The food was excellent. I had the stuffed mushrooms, a 6 oz glass of Pinot noir, and 12 oz ribeye with a loaded baked potato. Boyfriend had the fried onion petals, a beer, and the same entree. Grand total of $80 before tip, which while not cheap is reasonable for the amount and quality of food as well as the stellar service. If we could afford it, I think we'd make this a weekly treat. For now, it's a lovely occasional indulgence that I highly recommend. read more

Their house salad with vinegarette is very good. The dressing is on the edge of sweet and tangy. The home made croutons are very good. The sirloin is surprisingly tender and very flavorful. Call a head waiting doesn't work at this place. Called ahead at 3 for 5:30 seating and arrived 15 minutes early and was told 20 minute wait. I was ok with that but when it turned into a 25 minute wait I went up to the hostess stand and was told I was still second on the list I thought ok fine. Then when I heard 4 different parties get called I again went up to the hostess stand and was told they were wiping me a table. I then heard them call for the party who put themselves on the list after I had checked in and was verifying that I was there. Our vegetables weren't cooked enough. I've been to this Longhorn location 3 times since June - twice for dine in & once for take out. Each time I've been impressed with the consistency of my meal - I ordered the same thing all 3 times & it was great all 3 times. I just love the parmesan crusted chicken here! The chicken is ridiculously moist & topped with this super rich parmesan sauce & melted cheese. I always get the sweet potato & brussel sprouts for sides. The sweet potato is really sweet as is, but of course I add the cinnamon/sugar combo they serve with it to make it like a tasty dessert. The last couple of times we went out to longhorn has been less than stellar. The first time we went my meal was raw. I ordered a med.rare steak and it came out very rare. They took it back and cooked it more. It came back well done. For a steak place that can't cook steaks is terrible. So my wife ate and then had to wait for me to finish. The last time we went we figured it was a one off but no it wasn't. My wife's steak came out completely raw and the lobster tail was not cooked properly. Again I finished my meal before hers came back. When as a couple you go out to eat together you expect to eat at the same time. Two strikes, I'm hesitant to give them a final chance. What can I say about Longhorn; whenever I come here, it's always one of the best dining experiences I have at a restaurant. Is it expensive? Yes. Is it worth it though? Yes. The Parmesan crusted chicken is literally one of the BEST chicken entrees I've ever had! The flavor is on point, they have it down perfectly. This is what I always order whenever I come here. I ordered their new cauliflower Au gratin as a side; that was okay, but still tasty. My entree came with a fresh salad of my choice. For appetizer we tried the stuffed mushrooms; yummy! Everything came out at a good time. It was nice and quiet as we came in before dinner rush, perfect timing. My order is perfect for people who are watching carbs. We sat at the bar and after waiting over 10 minutes for a hello from anyone, the rest of the visit I think the bartender said 7 total words to us. This is drinks, and dinner. I did a survey, not to get anything free but to explain my experience and asked for a call back. 9 days later still nothing. In my business if we get anything lower than a 4 we have to call within 24 hours. You guys may want to go over to Texas Roadhouse and see what customer service is. read more

Got seated pretty quickly (only plus) I'm typically pretty patient as I've been in food service before but how can you make eye contact multiple times as a waiter and not say a word to a table when you only have a 2-top and a 4 top seated next to us. I was incredibly saddened by this visit. My aunt is in town, and my boyfriend and I took her out for dinner. Most of our meal was good, although the stuffed mushrooms came out not near warm, and kind of plastic in texture. The steak was missing toppings we ordered, but they did bring them out after. My uncle wasn't feeling well, so we had gotten his meal to go. What we ordered: a burger, said to come with lettuce, tomato, onion, bacon... it did not have bacon. It had a completely soggy bun. We had paid extra for his Brussel sprouts for a side. We got mashed potatoes... I tried calling the restaurant when we discovered this. They answered the 3rd time, and hung up after trailing off...
