I forgot to take the steak out for dinner and really wanted tips. I checked restaurants, and the price was too much for what you would get. I came across Off the Grill. I've heard of it before but never been. Decided to give it a try, and I'm happy I did. I ordered 2 plates of the 14oz steak tips. One cooked med and the other med rare. Delicious! Seasoned well and tender. I was surprised. Each plate came with a dinner roll and 2 sides. I ordered wedge fries and baked potato. I called my order in because there was an issue with trying to order online. When I came in, they were all busy cooking but acknowledged me and came as soon as they were able. Very friendly service. I ordered a 10 oz megaburger, it states it comes with chips or roasted steak fries. I only received a megaburger for $14.99. I could have gone to other establishments for cheaper and with options. The salad with extra cucumbers and eggs, but came with no salad/ranch dressing. The company could have thrown in chips or any salad dressing would have been sufficient. I called the establishment and there was no care for the customer who is paying for a meal with giving a tip. This is not the first time that I have ordered. Before I order again, it will be face to face to make sure my order is to standards and the tip will be based on the serviced received. TERRIBLE!! read more

In one of the most confusing transactions in recent memory I received more food than ordered, but received a terrific lunch value. The ordering conversation went something like this: Me: "I'd like your 5-ounce burger." Counter clerk: "How'd you like that cooked?" "Medium rare." "White or whole wheat bun?" "Whole wheat." "Cheese? "Swiss." "Toppings?" "Lettuce, mustard, pickle." "Side? A side comes with the burger." (And here's where things started going south.) "Oh, where are the sides on your menu?" "Under a la carte." "Thanks. I'll have the rib tips." "Sorry, those aren't a side. Everything else under a la carte is." "Okay. Veggies." "You want to know what those are?" "It says zucchini, squash and carrots." "Oh. (Clerk looks at menu to confirm.) I usually have to describe that to people. That will be $11.21." "How'd we go from a $7.99 burger to $11.21?" "The veggies are a premium side." "Okay. So remove the veggies. I really wanted just a burger." "I took it off. Your side?" "What sides aren't premium? I don't want a potato or fries." "The grilled onions and the mushrooms." "I'll have the onions." "You can get those as a burger topping. I'll have the cook make them a topping. Your side?" "I'll have the mushrooms." This was about a five minute discussion. A few more payment comments and the confusing order process was complete. After leaving and opening my meal I found the veggies inside. The 5oz. burger was monstrous--twice the size of a quarter-pounder. I'm sure I received the 10oz. by mistake. The toppings--which you'd correctly believe would, you know, TOP a sandwich--were in containers. One included unordered tomato and red onion slices along with a large, dripping wet lettuce leaf. The pickles were in a separate container. Two more styrofoam containers were used for the grilled mushrooms and cooked onions. Packets of ketchup, mustard, and mayo were tossed in the sack, too. Drying the lettuce and adding the toppings in my car became an awkward DIY project and when I finally got into the burger it lacked seasoning. After adding salt and pepper I had a burger that wasn't too bad. The whole wheat bun was outstanding and included sunflower seeds. The veggies were okay. For what would have been an additional $2 the portion size was paltry. Normally, this would be a four-star review for food taste and quality. However, I resent doing half the burger preparation, and the awkward order process didn't help. I felt I worked pretty hard for a meal I didn't cook. read more

First time trying this restaurant and was not disappointed! This is a take out/delivery restaurant, but there is a small counter inside with barstools so we chose to eat there. I had the ribeye steak sandwich and steak fries and it was fantastic! Perfectly grilled! My colleague had the chop steak and it was grilled to perfection as well. If I were not busy tonight I would stop in and grab takeout for the whole family! Service was great and staff is professional and friendly. I am planning on trying everything on the menu by having lunch there each Friday! As soon as I said I needed food to be delivered the guy told me that delivery is at least a 2 hour wait. I'm glad he told me that up front. I said "Oh, okay. That's too long. But thank you for..." click. He just hung right up on me. I guess that a great strategy to get orders to slow down since you're swamped. I was so disappointed. I went back on 4/27/2022, ordered the same thing. It was terrible. The grill chicken was tough, and rubbery; I broke my knife trying to cut it. I don't know if there was a different cook that day; But I couldn't eat it. I tried because I spent my money. I ended up throwing the rest away. The potato wedges were over seasoned. It seemed like they just threw a ton of dry rub over them. Not even paying attention to how much they were putting on them; Just drenched them. Please be consistent with the way the food is prepared. If you have different cooks they should be cooking at the same level as the other cooks to ensure the food is properly prepared, and taste the same every time. To customers reading this review. I've been to Off the Grill twice. I work minutes away so it's a perfect stop for me. The first time I ordered a pork steak. It was incredible (I'm a huge pork steak fan!) 5 stars plus!!! However, when I spend money to eat out instead of eating at home, I expect more than just good food. I can get that at home. I'm a teacher of very young children. When I eat out for lunch, it's because I want hassle free and calm so I can go to work with a positive and upbeat attitude. While I was eating lunch, someone behind the counter decided it would be appropriate to berate a fellow worker (or maybe an employee?) at least 2 different times and loud enough for me to hear while I was eating my lunch. They dropped a number of f-bombs. The longer I sat after listening to this, the angrier I got (THIS IS NOT WHY I GO OUT FOR LUNCH!) I spoke to the owner. Heinz steak sauce, sour cream & 2 whipped butters were also given. The drawback was only a small leaf of lettuce & a not so fresh slice of tomato. The slice of tomato didn't cover 1/2 the sandwich. I forgot my general rule to get cheap steaks cut-up & added to something else like salad. The employees were friendly & fast. PLUS- they gave me a free tea! This is not a dine-in place, but great for take-out and delivery to the many businesses in the Westport area. Burger and sides were served piping hot. Burger was wrapped in foil, so it was still warm a half hour after I picked it up. I really liked how the veggie toppings were served in a separately to keep them crisp. Both burger and the grilled onions (which I recommend as a must!) have a nice umami flavor (worcestershire sauce?) that made it really unique. Steak fries were seasoned nicely but not overly salty like some can be. Fries with burger were a little stingy, so big appetites should order an extra side order. Haven't tried the entree salad yet, but greens look crisp and toppings are generous. Lost a star for: excessive use of styrofoam, stingy with fries on side of burger, and no fountain drinks available. I'll be back, especially to try all the salads! read more

I can honestly say that I was attracted to this place literally because of the name. All I can remember was being in the mood for a delicious grilled burger and I was feeling too lazy to cook! Lol. Glad I called because they truly did deliver what I was craving. This restaurant has quite a variety of options. I have tried them multiple times since my initial visit and I have to say that one of my favorite menu items is the Chicken Ranch BLT Pita! There's nothing not to love about this place. The staff is friendly and the food is really good and they deliver far! I work about 20 minutes away and they have delivered to our office plenty of times. The only reason that I'm giving them four stars out of five is because when you order steak fries with your order you don't get very many. It's all good though because the fries are seasoned really good and normally when I do finish eating the entire meal I'm super full anyway! But still, a few extra fries wouldn't hurt. read more

I told him about the coupons I had, one for free dessert when spending over 15.00 and one for free delivery when spending over 20.00 No where on the flyer does it say that it is one coupon per order nor during the time the order was placed was I told that. I called the owner back and he told me basically I was not going to be refunded the delivery fee and didn't seem to care that I would be posting this on Yelp or any other social media. First, this place should really inform customers that it is a carry out and delivery place. There are only 4 wobbly stools to sit at a counter bar facing the window with no desirable view. Being that is was quite a drive we did not want to drive all the way home to eat it, so we opted to dine at the less than desirable location. We waited 35 minutes for the 2 burgers. I ordered mine well done. We were given a 15-20 minute time wait. My husband ordered his med. It came out rare. He returned it. It took another 30 minutes to get a new one. This time it was well done. It was returned with no cheese. By the time he got the burger of course he had no fries. I was finished eating. It would be nice if they toasted the bun, instead of putting it on a big dry white cold bun. They carry Pepsi products. We did not receive our Chocolate Chip cookies. After an unwelcoming greeting when ordering "Oh, a Living Social" and a hesitant recook of the burger, we did not bother to inform them of the forgotten cheese and cookies. I would have been livid had I paid the full price of $21 for the burgers and fries. The soda and cookies would have been extra. I really do not understand the mentality of some restaurants when they sign up for these deals. The food at OTG is very good. Now that being said, i highly recommend getting your food as carry out rather than getting delivery. I've purchased food here twice, once i ordered the OTG burger as carry out and tonight as delivery. My experience getting the take out was excellent. I had a slight wait but not too bad and the service was friendly. Tonight i had to call twice to place my order because the first time the line sounded like dial-up. I called right back and got an answer luckily. I was told tonight when i placed the order that my delivery would come between 45 minutes to an hour. I ordered at 6:39pm. When do you think i received my food? At 7:39pm. I can't fault them because it was right at the hour that i was told, but still, really?! My food was great, however my fries were kind of cold when they arrived. I also ordered my burger medium well and it was a little on the well side, but it was still very good. Also, the frosting was slightly off yhe piece of cake that I ordered. But still, all of the food was good and i ate all of it. We order from here quite frequently at our office and the food has never been bad. Last time I ordered food from them I asked for cheese on my burger and got a plain burger with nothing but ketchup. My biggest issue however is when we order last time the service was extremely rude on the phone and previously being an assistant manager at a food joint at one point in time, I would have retrained her or sent her home. Then we come to get our food downstairs the and the delivery driver has the nerve to say "Took you a long time." after we waiting an hour to get our food. I love this place! The food is good every single time. The order-takers have excellent customer service. I always order delivery and haven't had a chance to see what the restaurant looks like aside from passing by it. One thing that made me go "arrrrgh" is that my order was $12 and I handed the delivery guy a $20 and he asked "how much change do you need?" I said I would like the change that's owed to me and proceed to calculate for him. He said to me, "you gave me a $20". I'm shocked so I ask for the change I'm owed again and afterwards I tipped him half of what I was going to tip. I just didn't think that was a fair question. Let me decide on how I want to to disperse my change, don't just assume you're gonna get a $8 tip for doing your job.
