We came around 1:30 on a Sunday afternoon which typically is a busy time around here because of church, but we were able to be seated immediately! The server greeted us and took our drink and asked if we'd like any appetizers. We got the Texas Tonion & the complimentary loaf of bread. Both were delicious. Out of all the steakhouses, I think this onion was a contender for our favorite. Not greasy at all and perfectly crispy in a tempura batter, plus you're not having to pull at the onion petals to get them loose from the base of the onion. The sauce is delicious too, your typical zesty fried onion dipping sauce (like a horseradish ketchup mayo mix) but we should've asked for a spare. For entrees I had the Outlaw Ribeye with the seasonal grilled corn and baked sweet potato. Everything was cooked to absolute perfection. The steak was well seasoned and perfectly tender and juicy. There was no gristle or tough/dry spots (I get mine medium rare) and the fat along the edge was perfectly charred but still juicy and melted in your mouth. The corn was succulent and seasoned well, topped with a delicious spiced Parmesan and crema. The baked sweet potato was amazing as well, with cinnamon sugar and butter. My favorite pairing with a fat juicy ribeye! My fiancé had the half pound steakhouse burger and fries and said it was cooked perfectly and had a great flavor. We did have to wait for his fries because they weren't done when the rest of our food was and had to ask our server, but she promptly brought them out and they were hot and fresh. For dessert, since we were celebrating our anniversary, we finished with the strawberry and cream shortcake. The restaurant is very clean, plenty of parking, and convenient to local hotels and shopping. It was busy but not too loud minus the usual screeching baby. So I downloaded and ordered off the app this time for pickup, because I didn't want to be enticed to sit at the bar and drink. The app is kind of so-so. I requested no bread, I still got bread, I had to put in a vehicle that I don't have in order to make a pickup order, I paid for it on the app, it asked me to tip on the app and I said no, then after picking up my food I had to sign a credit card receipt, with an option for a tip! I'm not a cheapskate, yeah I'll tip you if you're serving me at a table or the bar, but I'm not going to pay you guys extra money for me to pick up my own food. I'm so sick of this guilt tipping scheme these companies use. Besides, I tipped 40% last time I was there so that's that. On the app I requested no bread, because I didn't want to be tempted to eat it. When the girl brought my food out I put my hand on top of the bag that she tied into knots, which drives me crazy, and I felt the bread. I asked her if it was bread, she said yes, and I asked her to take it out and she also took the croutons out of my salad. So obviously I'm going for a low carb option, So I ordered the lemon garlic chicken, a Caesar salad, cuz it wouldn't let me pick asparagus like I could have if I sat down at the restaurant, and brussel sprouts. I ate a brussel sprout, it tastes sweet, and come to find out there's 27 g of sugar. Half of them are hard, they weren't roasted long enough, but it doesn't make a difference because I'm not going to eat them anyways. I ate a couple soft ones, and tossed the rest. The salad was a salad. Shaved parmesan on top, that was nice. The chicken was so-so. Kind of lackluster, but that's what I get for ordering chicken from a steakhouse, similar to how some hyper vegan would come in here, and write a bad review because they didn't have their boba smoothie. It was okay, but I personally wouldn't recommend getting anything else other than steak here. I was going to go for the salmon, but I didn't. This was your basic longhorn experience with bells and whistles. It is so rare to find a longhorn that's actually good. This was once my go to for Sunday dinner and maybe a Thursday night out. Over the years, the service in the food quality deteriorated. This evening was such a wonderful departure. I came in early and was seated and greeted. My server came by and got my drink order quickly. She then came back to see what I wanted, and I had some questions about the menu. She answered all of these satisfactorily. Her name was Kylee. She's young, smart, beautiful, and a professional. She really knows what she's doing. I ordered the bowl of French onion soup, the chopped steak with mushrooms, gravy, and onions, the crispy, brussels sprouts and an iced tea. All came out satisfactory and on time. The soup was outstanding. It was like somebody actually cooked it in the back and then floated the bread and then put cheese on top and toasted it. It was a really good French onion soup . The chop steak was a nod to economy. It was a wonderful hamburger steak, with a wonderful gravy, mushroom and onion topping. Since that is part of the hamburger steak, it's not extra. I would've paid for these toppings on my hamburger steak. The crispy brussels sprouts were amazing, and came in a sweet honey sort of glaze. Which I used on my steak for a couple of bites. They're missing out but not putting the honey maple type glaze as an option for the steaks. That's just an opinion. When I got ready to go, Kylee asked me if I could have a tea to go. I accepted her offer. She then brought me out two glasses one with ice, and one with tea she said that would keep it from getting watered down. What a thoughtful young lady. While I was there, the manager came around and checked on me and wanted to know how they were doing. I told him they were doing great. It's like somehow this longhorn is the one that you see in the commercials where people are enjoying themselves, not the one that you always run into when you're traveling for the staff doesn't give a crap. Was pleasantly surprised at how good this Longhorn location was. I had not been to a longhorn in several years due to not having a great experience at other locations. Staff was very friendly. Bread and salad came out super quick. Ordered the Parmesan crusted chicken and mashed potatoes which I loved. My husband got a t bone steak which also tasted very good. I've eaten at several LongHorn steak houses a crossed the country. They are all usually a very good experience including this one in Commerce, GA. Seven of us went there tonight and all had carry tasty meals. We were seated promptly and had very attentive and friendly waitress with plenty of southern hospitality. Steaks were good and cooked pretty much to various ways folks ordered them in our group. Salads were fresh with a nice offering of dressings. Their raspberry vinaigrette was very tasty that I had in my salad. Like everywhere prices have gone up and the bill came to $221 with beverages for seven of us. ( note: we all had non alcoholic drinks). I was a bit surprised they didn't have malt vinegar for their French fries , but that's no big deal. Overall I'd give them a solid 4 out of five stars and would recommend them to others looking for a good steak, for a reasonable price served with a smile. Coming back from an Atlanta visit, we stopped here for a late lunch. Quite a large Longhorn location aptly decorated in a western cowboy motif. Very clean and busy. Jamie A. was our waitress and she did a good job. No hard sell or recommendations, she took our drink order, delivered, we ordered and were served quickly. We both opted for the chopped steak ($10.99), iced tea ($2.99) and split a mixed green salad ($1.49). Steaks were great and their rolls perfect. Very clean bathrooms. I ended up ordering a tall glass of beer and 2 shots of patron before my meal. I then ordered a NY strip, medium rare. This is the first time I had my steak actually medium rare. Outback ribeye and sirloin with shrimp were both cooked perfect. Shrimp had flavor and weren't dry. I'm gluten free and was able to eat and not be picky. Ok. Let's settle the question now. We experienced great food and great service! Traveling thru, steps away from our hotel, we read the reviews and were a bit hesitant. I'm writing to tell you now that most people who have enjoyed their meals here most likely do not do leave a review - Yes, I'm guilty as well - but this skews a restaurant's rating immensely. But it was convenient and we were hungry. We walked in, were quickly met with a smile, and escorted to our booth. Darby, our extremely polite and professional server, quickly came to our table to take our order. Our wait was minuscule and my hubby and I soon enjoyed our cocktails, bread and salads. Then came dinner... he the Filet (medium rare), me the Parmesan Encrusted Chicken. Both dishes were on point! Cook on the steak was perfect and my chicken was tasty and juicy - not an easy task! Throughout the meal the service was great. The chef came to table to be sure everything was good. It was!
