This place cured my homesickness!!! You know how when you move away from home, you start to miss all of your fave hometown mom n pop shops; and start to crave certain foods but it's soooo far away, and it makes you miserable...Well, that's what I was going through. Back home (Las Vegas), there's this place called Hamburger Hut. Locals call it The Hut. Though, it's called Hamburger Hut, this place is most popular for their wings and tenders. My fam visited The Hut/order take out often when I was a child; and as an adult, I would go nearly every week, they were my absolute fave! When I moved to Phoenix, I would crave hot wings, but had no idea on where to go. I tried 2 places but it just didn't hit like home. Then one day, while hanging out with a friend, I told him I wanted hot wings, but I didn't know where to get some really good ones. He was like, it's cool, I gotchu, and he did for sure! I nearly cried at home close to home it tasted. They were so reminiscent to the wings at Hamburger Hut that I was in shock! Now, whenever I'm feeling homesick and is missing The Hut, I know Long Wong's will cure me and bring me close to home!

Perfect wings and the sauce is delicious - honey hot. They understood the assignment when I said crispy.

So for me this is a very soft four and will get my repeat business. The value is excellent. The speed of delivery was excellent. The taste is good If you like super sausey and large wings . I typically go for small crispy wings but these wings were large and had crispy edges.which paid off very nicely. The presentation was poor because the wings are swimming in the sauce which I really like but I could see would people would not like that. My only suggestion is maybe that they use tinfoil in their to go container. They can't be a five star because they would have to change up the recipe to small crispy wings with a moderate amount of sauce. But the point of this restaurant is not to be that. Post-mates was great - But when you open the box you will be a little surprise by the presentation but it was tasty and I ate every wing . There's no way your hands can be clean after this. Wingstop , native and wild buffalo wings are my wing references. Native is still my favorite of the chains .

I got a margarita pizza and it was good. if you're hungry, you can easily kill a pizza to yourself. Or share a pizza with someone and get a salad etc You can do the valet parking and get it validated through the restaurant or there's the parking structure a little walk away, unsure if that gets validated. This is great for a date night, catching up with a friend, or even getting a bite to yourself. Thankfully, they keep the temperature in their nice and cozy COOL, especially because the oven is right there. Service is always nice enough.

Came here and luckily they had openings as I made a reservations at the wrong location. The place was pretty casual on there customer service. Pretty much get your order and that's about it. Wine: Had a Wilcox wine and it wasn't very good. Mozzarella salad was really good. Pizza I felt had too much of a smoked taste and just didn't have much flavor. Crust was the best part. I've been having really good pizza as of late and this pizza didn't hit the spot. Really bummed as we were excited. Definitely will seek other options next time in Phoenix.

The place had quite a few barstool seats and a handful of tables. The music had a punk rock feel and was loud but not blasting; which is good. The pizza smelled so good in the car that I had to try a slice while piping hot. As far as NY style pizza goes, I haven't had better in Arizona. I've been to a number of spots, and only one other was really worth taking the time time review. This pizza blew them away. The crust was thin and crispy at the edges and foldable with a nice chew in the middle. Cheese tasty, sauce had a nice zesty flavor. Pepperoni cupped and a little oily...perfect. And the sausage had a nice spice and that classic fennel flavor. 9.5 out of 10. Looking forward to my next visit already.

When El Prez is befuddled by a liquor store that sells solid pizza, you gotta check the pizza out!…read moreIt's cool to see the Trevor's brand be successful in the Valley since I started going to the original on McDowell. Earlier this year I stopped by for happy hour at Indian School with a friend that ended with me taking a pizza home. Then more recently I came for a "Sunday supper" with friends that also ended with me taking some pizza home. I absolutely love the bar decor and how they've separated the store from the bar. They have a host but you can walk-in to belly up, or make reservations if the # of attendees is around 10. All the staff are super friendly on both sides of the bar (retail and restaurant)! They (like any self-respecting craft beer bar) use Untappd to keep their draft list publicized. And both times I've gone it has been a vey solid list, complemented by some tasty cocktails. But the star of the show is the plain 8.3 cheese pizza with solid undercarriage (I don't like wobbly / flimsy pizza either) that has the right amount of char. As much as I love a supreme pizza, there's almost too much topping and not enough support for it. Still delicious though. If you're with people, definitely grab a bruschetta board to share beforehand.

I won't add to my previous review regarding the food, as it is still just as fantastic. And while the old location had its charm (mainly that it was more intimate and a bit quieter), the new location is overall an immense improvement. First of all, it is much larger, modern, and very tastefully decorated without losing as much of the intimacy as they could keep. For instance, the decor on the walls makes you feel like you are somewhat at home, with photos of the Spinato family and other tasteful finishes. Everything is comfortable without being too casual or formal. It's definitely more open concept now, and bar-lovers will appreciate the full bar, as the old location only had a tiny one. The covered patio area is much nicer, and with an eastern exposure, it should bake in the sun less than the old place's western exposure for most of their operating hours. We were seated at a half-booth, and the restaurant was very crowded because it was their first Friday night at this location. Nonetheless, we arrived early enough to be seated without a wait. I will say that the food took a very long time to arrive--40 minutes or more--but I'm chalking that up to the crowd and growing pains at the new location. Our server recognized us, welcomed us to the new place, and was as friendly as usual, though he didn't have much time for chat-chat with how busy they were. Very much looking forward to more visits to Spinato's at this fabulous new location!

Lil Capo Pizzeria 5.0/5 The Closest Thing to New York…read morePizza I've Found in Arizona Growing up in Upstate New York, I admittedly have high standards when it comes to pizza. After moving to Arizona in 2007, I've spent years searching for a slice that genuinely reminds me of home. While there are plenty of decent pizza spots throughout the Valley, very few capture that authentic New York style. Lil Capo Pizzeria absolutely does! Ironically, I first discovered Lil Capo after an Arizona Cardinals game. Like many people, I wasn't interested in paying stadium prices for mediocre food, so I jumped on Yelp looking for something nearby. Lil Capo had outstanding reviews, so we decided to give it a try. I'm glad we did because it's now my benchmark for New York-style pizza in Arizona. The first thing that stood out was the crust. This is exactly what a New York slice should be--thin, crispy on the bottom, slightly chewy inside, sturdy enough to fold, and never overloaded with grease. So many places think "New York style" simply means making a large slice. Lil Capo understands it's really about the balance of crust, sauce, cheese, and texture. Every bite reminded me why I miss pizza back east. The sauce has just the right amount of sweetness and acidity, the cheese is perfectly proportioned, and everything tastes fresh without trying to reinvent what already works. Sometimes simplicity executed well is the hardest thing to accomplish. Pizza: 5/5 Service was equally impressive. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and efficient. After selecting our slices, they quickly reheated them to perfection and had them on our table within minutes. It's exactly what you want from a neighborhood pizzeria--fast, relaxed, and genuinely hospitable. Service: 5/5 I also appreciated the atmosphere. Lil Capo isn't trying to be flashy or trendy. Instead, it has that classic neighborhood pizzeria feel where the focus stays exactly where it should--on making outstanding pizza. It's casual, comfortable, family-friendly, and somewhere you could easily become a regular. The pricing is another pleasant surprise. Considering the quality of the pizza and the generous slice sizes, I found everything to be very fairly priced. Overall Finding authentic New York-style pizza in Arizona has been surprisingly difficult over the years, but Lil Capo delivers exactly what I've been searching for. Authentic New York-style crust Excellent sauce-to-cheese ratio Minimal grease Friendly, efficient service Fair prices Comfortable neighborhood atmosphere I've eaten pizza throughout New York my entire life, and Lil Capo remains the closest I've found to the real thing anywhere in Arizona. Whenever I'm on the west side of the Valley--or heading to or from a Cardinals game--I find myself looking for an excuse to stop in. Next time, I'm skipping the slices and ordering an entire pie. If you're a fellow New Yorker living in Arizona and craving a slice that tastes like home, Lil Capo should be at the top of your list.
