One big salt vat. All the food tastes the same with extremely high salt content. Even the fries taste like salted fish.

My fish was cold, pierogis were soggy, and I didn't receive the hush puppies. Drive thru order.

This is your typical LJS. However this one is enhanced by the vintage 80s decor. Come for the food, stay for the indigestion.

Part II The man…read morestood at about only my height, but he carried a presence. He had, "aura" as the youngin's call it these days. He wore the finest tuxedo that I've ever seen. It was so clean that it burned my eyes to look at. He looked like a boss. His posture exuded confidence and power. He looked like a man who could have you killed with the snap of a finger, or the wink of an eye. His arms were extended in front of him, hands one on top of the other grasping onto a Crystal lion skull that sat on top of a black staff. You could barely make out the lions face through his thick knuckles that were dressed with the big diamond rings. He was staring straight ahead, his eyes piercing through the silence. He also wore a fitted fedora, and had the cleanest goatee I've ever seen. He was a boss. Standing behind him was a unit of a man who stood at least 6-feet tall with broad shoulders and muscular legs that bulged through his black shorts that were cut off above the knees. He wore a long black coat like he was secret service, and a gangster hat. His face was chiseled like the David, and he also sported a clean goatee. This man was handsome. I mean, seriously good looking. As soon as I made eye contact with him, I felt the butterflies in my stomach start fluttering. Bistros walked over to the boss looking figure and his guard, and greeted them both. It appeared as Bistors knew them. He definitely knew the body guard because they exchanged a bro hug and cheek kiss like true gentleman, and I swear I saw the guard slide a piece of paper into Bistros right pocket. "It's good to see you, Bruiser," Bistros said under his breath. "Always a pleasure," the guard named Bruiser whispered back, before ending the embrace and walking the boss to the table. As the boss approached the table, I had this urge to stand and greet him. Myself and the penguin looking man rose to our feet when Bruiser the guard pulled out a chair for the boss to sit in. The boss didn't say a word. Instead he stared at us intimidatingly and extended to us his right hand. The penguin and I knelt down before him and kissed the rings. The cowboy laughed and muttered something to himself. At seeing this, Bruiser moved behind Cowboy Soriano and whispered something into his ear. It clearly left the cowboy shook because he jumped to his feet and kissed the rings of the Boss before offering an apology. Five of use were seated at the table, and Bistros stood behind the one vacant chair and his eyes darted from person to person nervously. The boss finally spoke. "Where's the sixth," he said in a strong New York accent while staring at Bistros. "He should be arriving shortly," said the skittish waiter. "He just flew in today from Las Vegas." "Vegas?" I thought to myself. Who could possibly be joining us all the way from Vegas, and why? It didn't take long for me to get my answer. The door flew open once more and another man entered the restaurant. He was a lively gentleman who wore an oversized New York Rangers jersey to go along with navy dress pants, blew high tipped dress shoes, and a sun visor that read "Big Winner" on the brim. He was holding a golden guitar from guitar hero and wore tons of high roller bling around his neck. "Wassup you clowns," he said jokingly when he reached the table. This was a man that I could appreciate. Someone who didn't take themselves too seriously and was around for a good time. I could tell he was a good soul. "Welcome," Bistros said to the man. "You must be Vegas Strickland." "One and the same, but please call me 'Always Winning'," said the man. "Winner of five streak Big Pot Jackpot tournaments." He sat down and asked for a large glass of lemonade with a fork inside the filled glass. It was an odd request, but hey, to each their own. The table was now full, but no one knew why we were there, who invited us, and what the reason was for this meeting. "So, I'm guessing you all got the same invite that I did?" I asked. "I guess so," responded Soriano. "That appears to be the case," said Monsieur Huile. "Mine was delivered to me at the card table," explained Vegas. "We found ours on our car windshield two days ago," mentioned Bruiser. "I'd love to know who is wasting my time," the Boss added, looking impatiently at Bistros, who was standing in a puddle of his own sweat. "This is very peculiar," I said. "What may we all have in common?" "Gentlemen," Bistros said through quivering lips. "I...I..." Suddenly, Bistros whipped out two from his pockets, aimed them, and...

Upon arrival, we were confused because its in the bottom of a large building that looks like a hotel/apt building. The building is a 55+ over alt building but the restaurant is open to the public. The food was really good and affordable! Most of our group ordered breakfast but a few ordered the open faced hot roast beef sandwich which looked amazing and they said it was good. I ordered an omelette which came with home fries or hash browns and toast-the portion was pretty large for $8.99. Unfortunately we were all starving and didn't take any pictures. But, I would recommend this little hidden gem if in the area and you want a good homestyle meal.

You take to the food delivery apps in hopes of something that might be able to feel that hunger void. I wanted something that would fill my void and I wouldn't think about food for the rest of the evening. I kept going through the apps, pizza, wings, fast food, fast casual, then I saw this place. Graystone doesn't have a huge menu, but what they do have on the menu covers just about every niche you would want. Appetizers, dinners, sandwiches, the usual normal stuff to find. I made sure that I went over the whole menu before I was happy with my decision. I got both an appetizer and dinner, just so I could taste the two sides of the menu. For the appetizer I went with the fries with cheddar and bacon. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. You can tell that the fries are frozen and you can tell that there wasn't really much thought put into this than to add it to the menu as a quick appetizer. It says cheddar, and when you think of that you think cheddar sauce, it's not. Simply a handful of cheddar thrown on top with some fresh cooked bacon. Wouldn't be bad with the cheddar, but it basically hardened over the fries. Making you to really have to get in there with your hands and get messy with it. When it came to my dinner, I was not disappointed in the least. As soon as I saw meatloaf on the menu I did not have a second thought about it. I will always go with the meatloaf, especially if it is my first time trying the place. When you order a dinner you get your choice of two sides and a dinner roll. To keep the meal "homestyle" I went with mashed potatoes and stuffing for my side. Of course they made sure there was gravy. The meatloaf itself was a huge piece, one that easily takes up half of the plate. This also isn't one of those skinny pieces, on top of it taking over half the plate, it is like a double slice or triple slice when compared to other places. I added the gravy on top and I was off. The gravy definitely added to it and combatted the dryness that you encounter sometimes. I really enjoyed the edges, it had that hardened crunch to it that, when combined with the crumbliness, gave you different textures. It was a decent blend of spices, peppers, and onions giving this meatloaf top marks. The sides, let's talk about them. The stuffing, probably not homemade. A bit salty, kind of having some of those same flavors as the meatloaf. The potatoes, I want to think they were homemade. I did come across some lumps, which made me think that. With the gravy, of course it made it a connected meal. The bun, frozen, store bought, but it was a nice way to clean the plate from gravy. Overall, it was a great meal and was definitely feeling. A note as to where this is located in the Johnstown area. It is street level on the senior high rise near Walmart and Richland High School. Most people wouldn't know there is a restaurant there, but you should try it.

When I got my beloved firehouse roll this time it was not cold and actually kind of warm, which is not the experience you want at all with sushi. We received our garden salads and they were basically just lettuce with a single tomato. My mother ordered hibachi and my attempts to sway her for sushi were obviously failed as I was delivered warm sushi. Neither of us even wanted to take the food in to go boxes which is bad for us. The place was pretty busy and we chose to sit at regular tables. Unfortunately we were placed in the far right corner next to the sushi bar. There were booths and tables closer to the front but no, we were sat in the dark corner. As a result service was not good. No refills were offered and waited for approximately 15 minutes for check. We tried to be patient but eventually grew tired. I literally had to walk all the way to the front to tell them we needed someone to bring us our check. And surprise on the way back in another waitress, not our own asked if we needed anything. It was terrible. Our waitress dropped off the check with no instruction and just left without a thank you or polite departing greeting. And on our way out I heard another table begging for their check. It appears they too waited for something food wise that never came and were just waiting to leave at that point. So disappointing. Will not be returning here, unfortunately.

That's the story…read morewith this one, instead of attempting a remodel at the one that is literally a half block from here, they just bought some new land and built a brand new one. Unlike with other companies, this isn't such a bad thing. Old Sheetz stores don't sit empty for too long, they are reused quite regularly. That aside, I believe that there may be more pumps at this location, and they are easier to access. The new location is roomier and no need to worry about how long it may take to get fuel, order a MTO, and buy some refreshments. This one is set up like a majority of the new stores they have rolled out. Refreshment coolers, coffee station, soda den (that desperately needs to be a beer cave (come on Pennsylvania, step into the 21st century already)). But the most baffling thing about this place is the registers. It is true that they are experimenting with self checkouts here, but that's when it gets a little wonky. I went and grabbed a few things and stood in line on purpose. I did not, or maybe could not, use the self checkouts due to the fact that I needed cigarettes. As with any other place that sells cigarettes, these are located behind the register; thus the reason why I was standing in line. In walks super employee instructing everyone that is in line to use the self checkouts. Wouldn't you think that if us people in line wanted to use those registers we already would have. So, begrudgingly the line starts shifting to the self checkouts. This is the part I did not like, don't insult me. I know how to use the register by myself. Not only did I survive the retail world for five years, I'm not an idiot. And the most irritating part was when I said I needed the cigarettes I was standing in line for. Not only was I not allowed to handle them, super employee had to scan them himself. Remember why I was standing in the line?
