It has streaks and handprints that are visible from the road as you pass by, and it actually deters us. The food was okay. The chips and salsa were good, but we were not asked prior to dinner orders if we would like any guacamole or queso, but we chose to order queso anyway after our main food order was placed. I chose a 'bistec' (thin flat steak) with an adobado sauce - which when I asked for a description of, (thinking it was a version of adobo?) I was told by my server they had not tried it, but 'did not think it was spicy'. I am okay with some spice to my food, so I ventured for it. It was indeed spicy. I was able to enjoy it regardless, with the accompanying avocado / mash / salad.. My dinner companion ordered a different dish altogether, and it was covered in the same sauce (not disclosed on the menu) - she would have liked some sour cream to accompany, but never again did our server visit the table until it was clear we were no longer eating. I wouldn't discourage anyone from trying the place, but I was not impressed.

However, I have noticed a distinct change in the food. The amount of spice in the food only adds to the quality of it. There is a distinct improvement in the flavor that carries through from the first bite until the very last. There is a big change in the quality of the service as well. It took a tiny bit of a delay to get seated, but the food and service made it worth the wait. My beverage was filled before I asked for it, the waitress asked about the flavor of the food and if everything was good, and of course it was! The ambiance is amazing and the decorations appeared authentic. I cannot imagine the craftmanship that went into carving the booths! We will definitely be back here again- it is at the top of our list!

It is bright, cheerful and very clean. The menu has the typical Mexican restaurant options like tacos, fajitas, quesadillas, enchiladas and burritos and the also have a kids menu. I love their chorizo con huevo because not a lot of places have that kind of dish on their menu. It is chorizo (theirs has a great deal of flavor and isn't greasy like chorizo sometimes can be), onions, peppers and eggs. They serve it with tortillas and rice. Lots of food and packed with flavor. I have also tasted the enciladas and my husband loved the cowboy burrito. For drinks, especially during the summer they have awesome daily specials. I've tried the watermelon water and the cucumber lime. So very refreshing! Service is friendly and attentive and they are great about answering any questions that you might have about menu items.
