It has streaks and handprints that are visible from the road as you pass by, and it actually deters us. The food was okay. The chips and salsa were good, but we were not asked prior to dinner orders if we would like any guacamole or queso, but we chose to order queso anyway after our main food order was placed. I chose a 'bistec' (thin flat steak) with an adobado sauce - which when I asked for a description of, (thinking it was a version of adobo?) I was told by my server they had not tried it, but 'did not think it was spicy'. I am okay with some spice to my food, so I ventured for it. It was indeed spicy. I was able to enjoy it regardless, with the accompanying avocado / mash / salad.. My dinner companion ordered a different dish altogether, and it was covered in the same sauce (not disclosed on the menu) - she would have liked some sour cream to accompany, but never again did our server visit the table until it was clear we were no longer eating. I wouldn't discourage anyone from trying the place, but I was not impressed.

They came out crisp, hot and NOT DRY like they so often can be. The sauce that came with them was fresh and delicious too. I wouldn't have thought of having them with a side of coleslaw but it works. Next we had a beef al pastor taco and a tongue taco. Both were simple, not cheesy messes and seasoned really well. Lastly we split a plate of Birria tacos. Perfectly seasoned real shredded beef with fresh cilantro and onions and a broth for dipping. If you want real Central American Latin food you have to go to Cony's Kitchen. Support what these people are doing! They are feeding us with their hearts.

The rice and brown beans is great, too, along with even their basic salad, homemade juices, and sodas (I strongly recommend the raspberry soda, which is 95% of your daily intake of sugar but worth it). I recommend ringing their bell at the front and asking the cook to give you samples of items you're unfamiliar with, which she did for me. They are a really friendly duo and take pride in their Dominican food (the only place I know of that has it in Western Pennsylvania).

It is bright, cheerful and very clean. The menu has the typical Mexican restaurant options like tacos, fajitas, quesadillas, enchiladas and burritos and the also have a kids menu. I love their chorizo con huevo because not a lot of places have that kind of dish on their menu. It is chorizo (theirs has a great deal of flavor and isn't greasy like chorizo sometimes can be), onions, peppers and eggs. They serve it with tortillas and rice. Lots of food and packed with flavor. I have also tasted the enciladas and my husband loved the cowboy burrito. For drinks, especially during the summer they have awesome daily specials. I've tried the watermelon water and the cucumber lime. So very refreshing! Service is friendly and attentive and they are great about answering any questions that you might have about menu items. I highly recommend having lunch or dinner here and then heading next door to the creamery for delicious ice cream.

We all remembered it so we decided to go back while visiting her again. Of course, we ordered the same margarita tower (which holds 80 oz of margarita). While we were enjoying it, a lady from another table came up to us, pointed at the tower and asked, "WHAT IS THIS!?" We explained what it was and she seemed fascinated by it. Maybe she'll order one the next time she visits. LOL. Unfortunately, I wasn't feeling well that day so I couldn't drink much. That just meant more for my husband and our aunt and they certainly didn't complain. All the food we ordered was delicious and we had a wonderful time catching up. There were lots of laughs and great conversation which made the experience even better.

The "premium" margarita was the exact same house premixed margarita mix with a splash of slightly better tequila added to it. Nothing about it felt premium. Service was disappointing as well. Our waiter barely checked on the food and never really checked to see if we needed refills. Then came the churros. We ordered churros to go. The picture showed churros on a plate with chocolate on the side. What we received was completely covered in chocolate, canned whipped cream, and some kind of strawberry or cherry syrup. Honestly, I have no idea what it was because the red color looked completely unnatural. I asked the waiter for plain churros instead--not the overly Americanized, bastardized version we had just received. Apparently, "plain" meant SERIOUSLY plain. No sugar. No cinnamon. Nothing. At that point, we were done and headed up to pay, only to find out that paying with a card adds almost another $4 as an "admin fee." I sincerely hope that fee is being split with the staff, because believe me, no additional tip was left after this experience. This is not a place I will ever return to.
