The owners are super friendly and the restaurant's vibe is inviting to say the least. They had a DJ spinning old school rap, hip hop and reggae on a random Saturday afternoon. I had the ox tail, chicken curry, mac & cheese, collard greens and rice. Everything tastes good, as expected, but the chicken was dry, probably because the used big chunks white meat. Outstanding friendly service! Definitely give this place a try! My friend and I stopped here for a quick drink and bite before a show at the Heritage Discovery Center. We only had about 25 minutes before the show started and the restaurant closed at 7:00 pm. We selected our drinks and asked Owner Jevon what would be quick. He served us rice and collard greens and rice and cabbage for Free! He was so nice! The food was delicious and healthy. Stopped here on a road trip from St. Louis to DC. Great and reasonably-priced carribean food. I got the oxtail, partner got the goat curry, both on rice and beans. Seasoned well (not crazy spicy, but tasty). Plantains as a side were perfectly crisp. Yams were sweet and not too soggy. Lots of room to sit, and parking. Service was quick and friendly. If you're driving past pittsburgh, go ride the inclined plane and get dinner here. read more

This is a food review and the food was delicious. I had the oxtail because another reviewer raved about it. And it must be a crowd favorite because I got the last serving. The meat fell off the bones and the bed of rice and beans was a nice compliment. The sides were tasty (collards and Mac) but a little on the small side for a big man like me. All together, I was full from the meal. The young lady, behind the counter, was very nice.
