Jury is still out. I contracted in February 2026. Job was started July 2026, well after the projected completion date. It's half done and I haven't seen or heard from anyone in 2 months. It's now the middle of September. I'm on the verge of having to hire another contractor to complete the job. Seven months without a shower is a big deal. Think twice about going with this company. They're not cheap or reliable and I'm assuming they care little about customers inconvenience. The product is great, the customer service, not so much. read more

Extremely disappointing and disturbing experience with Daniel O'Keefe. Daniel came to our home for a siding estimate and spent a significant amount of time giving us a sales presentation about what we needed, why his recommendations were the best option, and how he was giving us an exceptional price. He repeatedly emphasized how little profit he would make and shared personal details about his wife, his three children, and his responsibility to provide for his family. The estimate was close to $40,000, with a "promotion" bringing it down to approximately $29,500. We explained that our basement had recently flooded, which was why we had some belongings and bins temporarily stored in our living and dining areas. We also explained that our daughter is getting married and that wedding decorations and floral arrangements were stored throughout the house. Daniel brought siding color swatches for us to choose from. I selected a color, and he immediately told me, "That's a great color. It's beautiful." He even showed me a photo of a home in Dorchester they had completed using that color. He then went outside to inspect the trim around our windows. While he was outside, I was in the restroom and could clearly hear him having an open conversation about us, our family, our home, and the contents of our home. I heard him tell the person on the phone that we had selected "the most hideous color in all of the swatches." This was especially disturbing because he had just stood inside our home, looked me in the face, and told me that exact color was beautiful. He also mocked the condition of our home, calling the job "hideous," "a one-off," and "a mess." He made disparaging comments about our family and personal belongings. Then he discussed how doing the job would be "good publicity" because we live on a main road and could potentially help him get business from the "nicer homes" in the area. So, inside our home, he was telling us how beautiful our choices were and how much he wanted our business. Outside, when he thought we couldn't hear him, he was insulting our home, criticizing our choices, discussing our belongings and family, and viewing our property as a marketing opportunity. I heard the conversation and recorded it. I collected his belongings, put them back in his bag, left them outside, and locked the door. When he returned approximately ten minutes later, he tried to open the door. I told him he was not coming back inside. When I confronted him about what I had heard, his explanation was that he was simply trying to "sell the job to his boss" and justify why he had given us a discount. He apologized and said he had been "cowardly" and should have handled things differently. He then said that he was jealous that I was willing to help my parents pay for the project. I told him that if he had simply been honest and said, "I gave you a discount, so I need to explain or over exaggerate the circumstances to my boss," I could have understood that. Instead, he presented himself as someone we could trust while inside our home, then walked outside and ridiculed us and our home. I told him he had broken the trust relationship, that I no longer felt comfortable with him on our property, and that I wanted him to leave. I told him that he should have been honest from the beginning. Instead, he had chosen to present one version of himself to us while saying something entirely different when he thought we couldn't hear him. He said he doesn't even make a commission, which frankly doesn't concern or justify his behavior He then asked if I wanted recommendations for other contractors. I wanted nothing from him except for him to leave my property. After this experience, I looked more closely at Long Home's reviews and found numerous other customers raising concerns about high-pressure sales tactics, pricing, communication, and customer service. This was not simply a case of disliking a salesperson. We witnessed firsthand the complete disconnect between what Daniel said to our faces and what he said about us when he thought we weren't listening. If you cannot trust a salesperson to tell you the truth about something as simple as the color you selected, why would you trust him with a $30,000 home improvement project? I would strongly caution anyone against allowing this individual or business into their home. Honesty, respect, and integrity should be the bare minimum when asking someone to trust you with tens of thousands of dollars and access to their home. read more

Long Home appears to be a reputable company that does quality work. However, prospective customers should be prepared for a very aggressive sales process that, in my experience, felt more like a traditional used-car dealership than a home-improvement consultation. The process began with a phone screening, during which I explained that we were considering a complete gut renovation and remodel of a relatively small bathroom. Based on that conversation, I was told that a specialist would come to our home to evaluate the project. However, when the salesperson arrived and saw the bathroom, I was immediately told that Long Home was only interested in doing the shower and would not be taking on the rest of the renovation. We explained that this was not what we were looking for, but we were willing to hear what they had to offer. What followed was approximately two hours of sales discussion, during which we were presented with three different prices: $34,000, $30,000, and a supposed "rock-bottom" price of $22,000. The salesperson initially presented $30,000 (Buy within 30 day) as the best available price. When I declined, the salesperson said they would contact their manager to see if anything could be done. After some back-and-forth, the price ultimately dropped to $22,000. At that point, I explained clearly that Long Home was the first of three companies we planned to evaluate and that I was not going to commit $22,000 to a contractor after a single sales presentation without comparing other options. Unfortunately, the salesperson did not seem to understand or respect our decision to shop around. Despite my repeatedly stating that I was not making a purchase that evening, the pressure to close the deal continued. I ultimately had to become quite firm--and frankly, louder than I should have needed to be in my own home--to make it clear that I was not buying that night. The experience left me extremely frustrated. I was essentially being pressure-sold in my own kitchen, despite having made it clear from the outset that we were in the early stages of evaluating contractors. I was one step away from asking the salesperson to leave. Perhaps Long Home does excellent work; I cannot personally speak to the quality of the finished product because we ultimately decided not to move forward. My concern is with the sales approach. The experience gave me the impression that the company's priority is closing the sale on the first visit rather than allowing customers the opportunity to make a thoughtful, informed decision. I find it difficult to understand how someone could reasonably commit $20,000-$40,000 after a single sales presentation, particularly for a project that warrants comparing multiple contractors, scopes of work, materials, and prices. For us, that is simply not a prudent way to make such a significant purchase. The salesperson gave a very telling statistic, only 15% of sales come from call backs after the initial sales presentation...... hmmmmm i wonder why?? Bottom line: Long Home may very well provide quality work, but the high-pressure sales tactics were enough to make us walk away. I would never hire a company that makes me feel pressured to make a major financial decision while standing in my own home. Customers should be aware that, based on my experience, they should expect a hard sell and significant pressure to commit during the initial visit, rather than a low-pressure opportunity to review the proposal and follow up after comparing alternatives. read more

We had a sales rep come to our house yesterday to give us a roof quote. The sales rep was here close to FOUR HOURS! He went into this ridiculous slide deck presentation that tried to establish fear in us for thinking about going with smaller local companies. When he tried to pressure us into signing a contract on the spot and we said no, he was clearly agitated. We have had two other companies come out. Both of the other reps were here for 30 minutes, were respectful and honest. Here are the three quotes. We have a large house. Quote #1 $28,000 Quote #2 $69,000 (Long Home Quote) which was eventually lowered to $52,000 as we refused to sign the contract. Quote #3 $25,000 All of the materials were of the same grade. All insurances and warranty were the same. DO NOT TRUST LONG! **** Thank you to the customer service person that responded to my post. But that changed nothing. The rep was taught a high pressure presentation. He also seemed worried that if he didn't close the sale, he would be in trouble. He even had to call his manager during our meeting. You need to change your sales approach. Your price was twice the two other quotes for the same service and materials. I am sure the high pressure tactics end up bullying people into signing. Not us. I have been in sales management for 35 years. This is NOT the way to treat people/customers. It is dishonest and driven by greed. Remember pigs eventually get slaughtered. Had a scheduled appointment for tomorrow morning 8/7/26 at 10 am. Ready to go for a new roof. We both had to adjust our schedule to ensure we could be home for the appointment as our schedule is not normal with day and night shifts involved. A rep called at 1:30 today, less than 24 hours before the appointment we had been waiting for, and asked several questions to verify and confirm, and the says they are booked for tomorrow so can we do Saturday. We both work Saturday so cannot. Several, and I mean many phone calls after we had scheduled already to try and schedule again after we had already scheduled. Every rep verifying our 10 am appointment for tomorrow. We ended up cancelling as this has been frustrating, and if they can't get their communication straight, what is the install and contract going to be like. On top of the fact every phone call was super quick and stressful with reps cutting me off just to say their standard phone call language. Terrible experience. read more

DON'T MAKE MY MISTAKE. SALES The salesperson misled us about two things and the time it would take to start the project. The old walls were not capped with stone, as the salesperson said they would be. The showroom model she showed us had a shower head and a side wand attached. However, the shower we had installed is an all-in-one model, where the head is a wand on a magnetic latch. We made the down payment for the project at the end of February, but installation didn't start until August. The paperwork estimated completion within 8-12 weeks, which would have been by the end of May at the latest. INSTALLATION 1. The shelf we ordered was installed almost 60 inches high, making it nearly unreachable for my wife. 2. On the day of installation (8/4), they discovered the door we ordered was the wrong size, despite two different people measuring. They had to install a makeshift shower curtain while waiting for the correct door to be ordered. 3. After weeks of no updates on the installation date, the fit of the door is so poor that I'm now looking into having it replaced by a local glass company. The alignment of the glass, due to manufacturing issued, at the top was off by half an inch. Even when I tried to press them to fix the issues properly, they seemed more comfortable offering a discount on the final price, rather than actually addressing the problems. In the end, they knocked $1,621 off the total project cost of $19,232. And God knows what it will cost to have the door done correctly. AVOID LONG HOME LIKE THE PLAGUE. The only even slight bright spot is the installers were very professional and courteous. They just couldn't outshine the incompetence of their leadership. 9/5/2025 UPDATE: so even the installers are incompetent. I waited for the silicon to dry on the door and first shower flooded the bathroom. After about six weeks, I was called that the material I originally wanted was not in stock anymore so I had to go with something else which I just didn't care for any of them so I settled on one and it's just been an awful experience .They started doing the assembly on December 28 and they finished it on April 14 after four sets wrong doors shelf's I didn't want ,molding that I didn't want which I'm stuck living literally the molding is just horrendous. it was just the worst awful experience. read more

Came across this company by doing a quick google search "roofers near me" then glanced to see who have the highest reviews. I saw a bunch of 2k+ 5 stars reviews and it immediately caught my attention. After a recent wind storm my shingles were falling off, I have an old roof and knew I needed to replace it for a while. Now I need it asap so I immediately called them to schedule an appointment. As I was on the phone I remember to check Yelp reviews and the disparity is jarring. 2 stars vs 5 stars. Pro tip I feel like Yelp does a better job of filtering reviews. I always get skeptical when I see a bunch of 5 stars on google but the person only have 1-5 reviews in total So sales guy came to my house to give me a quote. He came into my house with shoes on (being an Asian family, it made my wife and I cringe a little). so he spends 30 min chatting it up and walking around to take a look. told me computer will take at least 30min to spit out a quote. i already had 2 other guys come and give me a quote in 10 min same day so there should be no reason this should take 60-90min. Those 2 guys did not need to enter my house either btw This company is out there making you sit through a sales pitch, try to ask if you are working on any other projects. I get it, its a business but not everyone have time to sit through a long sales pitch. I just need my roof replaced and nothing else Oh and when i cut the meeting short, they wanted to reschedule another time to come back and give me a quote (aka make me sit through another 60min). I recently had a new roof installed at my home in Worcester. After it was completed I noticed a piece of plastic that had need nailed underneath one of the roof shingles. I have called and emailed over 7 times and have not had one response. I need to have the shingles lifted and the plastic removed. The follow up has been very poor. I was able to verify the order had been placed. Today in November 11 2025 and in spite of daily call and texts I have been unable to get an update as to when the replacement can be put in. The sales people will tell you that their crews are reliable professional installers who are trained in industry standards and work directly for Long. The installers are sub contractors with stick on signs for the truck. The bathroom tub to shower conversion I received was performed by the two worst tradesmen I've ever seen. They were unprofessional, dirty, and not skilled enough to be working on the inside of a home. My suspicion is that they are the laid off roofers. Absolutely no communication once the job started. I was told after the rough plumbing inspection that they couldn't get the rough carpentry inspection for at least 3-4 days. I told them that was not true and call back. They didn't call the inspectors office, I did, and got the inspection with in two hours of my call on the same day they told the inspector wasn't available for a few days. I could give you a litany of things they did incorrectly, reveresed hot and cold water, trash in my yard and driveway, broken screen door, no dust barrier, etc etc. etc,. In summary the people that they send to your home can't or won't communicate with you and most importantly they have zero skilled tradesmen or project managers. As stated in many reviews, do your research, I didn't. I was in need of a desperate fix. This is not a quality home improvement company. I would never recommend this sad excuse of a construction outfit. Their construction staff is less than professional, they have dismissive attitudes and absolutely horrific customer service. The Corporate office in Taunton and the national office should be ashamed of their ethical and moral failure here, these are peoples homes they are destroying, I repeat destroying, with substandard work at elevated prices. My husband and I agreed to have Long Home Products install a new shower for us at the end of January of 2024. The first part of the installation took place fairly quickly, in the middle of February 2024. As of today, nearly 6 months later, we are still waiting for the shower door and glass wall to be installed. I have called numerous times asking for an estimate to when the job will be completed. No one can give me a straight answer. As of June we finally got a hold of a manager and asked that something be sent to us in writing so that we could either terminate our agreement and go with another company to finish our project. We were given apologies and promises to lower the price for our inconvenience and assurances that the job would be "moved to the top of the list" and would be finished soon. Our project manager came out, took new measurements, shook our hands, looked us in the eyes and promised the job would be done by July 5th. We never heard from him again, July 5th came and went, and we still don't have shower door or wall. Management promised once again to look into this and then never called back, and has still not sent us anything in writing about the price reduction, which we have repeatedly asked for. I was so excited to be getting a new shower, but never expected to have no use at all of my shower for 6 months. I have been a homeowner for 40 years and have NEVER had such terrible customer service with a so-called professional company. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I wish I had done more research BEFORE hiring this company. If I had seen all the complaints and bad reviews before we signed a contract, we would NEVER have gone forward with using Long Home Products for this project. We should have done more due diligence, and that's on us, but after over 4 hours with their sales rep we were worn down by 10pm and agreed to this without interviewing more companies, against our better judgment. I suppose that's on us as well, but again, in all our years of being homeowners, never have we run into anything like this. So many empty promises, outright lies, and horrible customer service. Lesson learned, never say yes to the first sales pitch, check the BBB website (tons of complaints against this company), and do the due diligence of meeting with more than one company rep. Run away. After waiting for many months, Installer finally comes and decided to do the entire install and not bother to wait for the building inspector. Building inspector didn't like that. Longs had to take down all their work, for the inspector to come and do his job. Absolutely ridiculous and mind boggling. Don't they do this work all the time?? That's just one issue. There were others. Mostly poor communication/not getting answers/lying to us. At one point the demo guys showed up very early on a Monday. Ummm...was anyone going to tell us? Just awful. The final kicker, and what prompted me to write this review...we never received a final bill. We were waiting for it, and finally we got a threatening letter to pay or it will go to collections? Some of the guys are careless and results in damages to the wood and metal sidings. The roof started leaking on the next storm. I had to call them to come back and fix the issue. I called many times but never received my copy of the contract and certificate of completion which is needed for the home insurance. The sales guy will park himself in your house for hours to perform a hard sell. I should have brought in multiple contractors to compare. Will never recommend or recommend this company. read more

Demolition and installation went flawlessly. Thalia told us it would take 4 days due to building inspections and it took 4 days. The team (Katie, Gabby) were in constant contact with me on the inspection's that were needed. Victor did a great job during the demolition and only removed what was needed (We did a tub to Shower). House was left clean when he was done! Victor came back to do the installation with Miguel, and they did an OUTSTANDING JOB!!!! He went on and on about their reputation. Then came the price of over $21,000. He was insistent on us committing to that price. We said we would talk about that. Still very pushy and insisted we would get a better price. Finally after coming down about $1000 he went went outside to give us some time to talk. Coming back we told him no. He was not happy and still so insistent and not at all professional. We looked for and found Tip Top Roofing. What a great company! No pressure great people to deal with! The price, $11,000! What a difference and the best quality materials! So, I do not recommend Long at all. I can only imagine the pricing on Long Bathrooms and their other products they offer-NO THANK YOU LONG! We had 2 bathrooms ( shower in one, tub in the other) renovated in the fall of 2024. We waited almost 2 months to have the shower door adjusted as it wouldn't stay closed. We are still waiting for a grab bar which was part of the original order to be installed. Despite multiple phone calls with assurances I would be called back, I have yet to receive a call. Stay far away from Long Home anything. Horrible customer service. They use the cheapest materials possible. I've had 3 different service calls to fix my shower in the past year. They transfer you from person to person when you call. I just wanted to confirm a service appointment and I've already spoken to 5 different people!! There are much better, more reliable places out there! This review doesn't even include the nightmare it was to get the shower installed in the first place! I'm happy with my new roof installed by Long Roofing, Norwood, MA in the last 2 days... will it stand the test of time? Not sure, but having a 50 year warranty is certainly reassuring! Ask for Kendra she was my salesperson and she's the greatest!!! read more

I signed a contract on 7/27/2024 for a bath to shower conversion. It was estimated the project would be started in 8-10 weeks. It is now seven months since contract signing and no work has begun. The company has had my $5000+ deposit in their pocket all this time. During this period, I have gotten several lame excuses for delays. I have lost all confidence in the company's ability to deliver. I called the regional manager to cancel and demand return of my deposit. He refused my request. He has also refused to take my phone calls to negotiate any kind of financial compensation for the inexcusable delay in their fullfilling their contractual obligations. My next step is to take the company to small claims court. My advice--stay away from Long Home Bath. read more

Dec 3,2024 is when we chose what we wanted and they said it would take 5 to 6 weeks!! Well today is Jan 24,2025 Monday they started took out the old tub, shower. Ended up cutting a wire had to wait for an electrician to come and fix it. Now Friday still waiting for an electrical inspector to come out and they are waiting for a permit to be pulled? Now long home doesn't answer the phone. When we inquired about the shower we told them it was a medical reason for having it done. They said they would try to rush it along. SO MUCH FOR THAT I should have read the documents they have you sign. No refund of down payment etc etc. 4000.00 down so it not like your going to back out and have some other company finish the job. I should of wrote this right after.we had the walk in shower installed which was in late October For the price we paid it is not worth half what was charged The doors do no line up we wanted.dark gray we gat tan they said they would re do but after taking more than a day then flooding my basement we told them dont.bother when I call about the doors the receptionist says try adjusting Never again I will get more that one company to check up but will never call long bath again I know should of done homework the.sale assoc seemed nice do jot be fooled I will have this paid off before next April so I pay no one interest definitely not worth it Judy miles read more
