We started our hunt for the right contractor to handle the complete makeover of our home. after going through several contractors for whom we just didn't connect with for one reason or another, we found ourselves at a home show that was going to be at patriot place in Foxboro mass. Thats where we came across James DelPrete we took all the information he had given us and once home did our research on the internet and liked what we saw, Then the next day called and set up an appointment w/ James. A couple of days later James met w/ us at our home and we proceeded w/ what it was we wanted done. It was especially important to us that the contractor we were going to hire knew how to install James Hardie siding especially where it's made of cement board. And James (Beantown) specialized in the installation of the product we wanted. As we proceeded with what we wanted it was important to us to maintain the character of the original moldings and Facer boards that were part of the home and that we wanted them wrapped. James went around and did all his measurements and had suggested that in order to do the job properly he would need to remove the moldings and would be replaced w/ PVC I was against that and still wanted the job to move forward once we could have a contract to sign. The following day James came by w/ the contract but before he would agree to do the job we had to agree to have the moldings and facer boards removed or he was not interested in doing the job, James explained to us that we would not be pleased w/ the final outcome as the trim would have ripples in the covering as you cannot duplicate the metal to those type of moldings and unless we agreed he would rather walk away from the job than to have a job misrepresent him and his business for what he stands for. Right then and there we knew we had the right guy for the job, that his standards meant more to him than what we wanted. we knew he would do this job as if it were his own. I will eat my words as James duplicated the moldings, all the PVC was pre routed so the clapboards tucked nicely behind out of sight the metal work was shaped and molded to what was the existing molding along the ridge and metal roof and was tucked beautifully and cut to precision and folded like an envelope and caulked you cannot even see a seam, every window and door flashed. The crew that James had were absolutely the best in the field there were between 6 and 7 guys here every day would arrive at 6.30 would set all their equipment up and start the job right at 7am. They would stop at 12pm for lunch and at 12.30pm right back to work never any arguments just worked as a team everyone knew their job. Never on any cell phones only the one in charge and that was to communicate w/ James the owner of the company work wouldn't end until 7pm then the crew would take everything down cover it and proceed to clean all debris up and to only return the next day to start the same process all over again. James told us the job would be completed in 7 days pending no rain. the job was completed in 7 days as stated. on the final day James was away for 4 days and Elias Bassila site manager came and present w/ onsite gentleman who was in charge of crew that had been working here to go over any and all concerns' we may have had we could not find any. One would not even know this was the same home we knew we made the right choice new gutters etc. and at the end of the job the entire crew went around the entire house latter's up again and wiping down ever clapboard and double checking that all caulking had been done and nothing was missed if you want to talk professional this is what this entire crew was and clearly represents Beantown for who they are and what they stand for. Only one job left to be completed and that's the front porch floor and stairs which James has a separate crew for that's finishing up a job and will complete this job the end of October. We worked with Jim DelPrete from Beantown Home Improvements this past summer. Jim replaced our roof, all our windows, siding and front porch and back decks. Jim was very responsive when we first reached out to him regarding the work we wanted done. From the first time we met with him personally, he was extremely professional and knowledgeable of the work that needed to be done at our home. He was quick to get us estimates and work through all the details of the the selection of what type of windows, siding, roofing and decking materials would work best for us and our budget. Replacing the old clapboard siding on our home was an educational experience for us ~ so many options, so many things to consider, so many contractors to meet with to bid the job! After meeting with 6 contractors, we tasked Jim and his team at DelPrete Home Improvements to update the exterior of our home with Certainteed Monogram vinyl siding. Our end goal in this process was to make our home look beautiful and virtually maintenance free. After speaking with Jim, we decided that we needed to have all the trim wrapped and the gutters and downspouts replaced as well. It was time for the original roof on a 28yr old cape to be replaced and we began calling around. Had a few companies come by to discuss installing a new roof and all the details. Jim was by far the most professional and explained everything very well. We spoke about the steps they would take installing new shingles and how much ice dam needed to get put down for our roof. We were initially looking at quarry grey as it had a nice blue color. After speaking with Jim he informed us that the quarry grey is very blue when installed, he suggested we go with estate grey as it was less blue. We went with estate grey and are very pleased with the decision. Beantown arrived at 7am and began laying out tarps to collect the debris. Shortly after the roof was fully stripped and the new shingles were getting nailed. Jim sent me progress photos throughout the day and after a few hours the whole roof was completed. We arrived home and everything was cleaned up as of they were never there. We would recommend Beantown as they do quality work. read more

I recently had some work done by Beantown home improvement. I had a roof/siding/gutters/windows replaced. From the very beginning of the process they were outstanding. Very responsive when I initially called to get a price. During the estimate process Jim went to great lengths to explain the process, timing, and materials that were to be used. Timing was an issue due to covid. Manufacturers were shut down for a period of time which obviously delayed jobs that had been scheduled. This was explained to me upfront to there would be no misunderstandings as to the scheduled start date. Communication was very thorough throughout the entire process, if you have questions Jim will get back to you with answers (sometimes within minutes!). The job lasted longer than expected due to weather and shortness of days but they got the job done before the winter. I could not be happier with the quality of the work that was done and wouldn't hesitate for a minute before calling them for future projects. read more

We hired Beantown Home Improvements to replace our roof and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. They followed through with everything they said they would, from when they would be there to start the work to replacing all the flashing on the chimneys. They run a very professional operation and do top notch work. I was very impressed when they not only replaced the bathroom vent roof caps but also add one to a vent that was venting into the attic. What really sold me on them is how they noticed halfway through the front side of the house that the lines of the shingles did meet their standards they actually stripped the whole front and redid it at no cost to us which I was shocked at.
