The other roofing companies did not do that. He was very professional and honest. Yesterday, my roofing project was completed by the wonderful roofing crew from Marios Roofing. They arrived at my home very early in the morning and started the roofing project. The were very skilled and professional. They worked all day on the project only stopping for a lunch break. He seemed to know what he was talking about but when the job was done the pictures will reflect their work. There is ZERO communication! We were very unhappy with the finish they did. So, I call them for skylight replacement. They were on time. The guy gets out of his car and asks if I had a ladder. I'm thinking, isn't he supposed to bring one? I said I only have an 8ft ladder. Then he asks the size of the windows. I said I did not know. He asked to walk around the property but he did not go up on the roof. Obviously. No ladder. So, after a while he said he'd be in touch. Had Marios do my windows last year and the service was on spot! Well, not so much anymore.They say they do remodels of bathrooms and they were right on top of sending someone out within a few days.Very nice young man came out and spent hours talking about ideas that would work.I tnink he became embarrassed because he was so sure he could put together an estimate of what we would like to do and kept stringing us along never sending estimate and not even a phone call saying the work was just out of their expertise! Had an excellent experience with Mario's roofing. Our roof was damaged in a windstorm that lasted two days. Mario's came out and put a temporary roof covering up for us within hours of us calling. They did this during the windstorm just before the heavy rains came and saved us from further damage. They then worked with our insurance company to get them to pay the full repair cost (our insurance initially under quoted us by $4k!). Overall it was an excellent experience and we're happy with our new roof. It was finished in one day and they left our property nice and clean. They tried to pressure me into removing my earlier bad review -- I told them I would be happy to amend it when they had actually completed the work. I just had Mario's Roofing replace the entire roof on my Cape plus addition. They did a great job, looks great. The color works great with the house. The guys that did the job worked super hard on a very hot day but stuck to it to get things done right. One fellow spent the entire time just keeping supplies going up to the roof and old stuff moving to the dumpster. The use of tarps really helped but there was not a single bit of paper, plastic, nails, shingles...nothing after they left. Nothing like having a good job plus a great clean up. read more

I wish I could comment on the work quality for Mario's, unfortunately my experience with them never made it past the estimate phase. It's been over a month since Marty came out to my house to provide an estimate for repair on a leaking roof and replacement of a broken old steel-frame window and I have still not received ANYTHING. I can't even get a call back from this company despite reaching out to their office multiple times to find out what is going on. I did receive a couple text messages though, one informing me that the roofer wasn't feeling well and would try to come out to my property the next day. This was a surprise as I had not made any appointments or received any correspondence regarding this. When I replied informing them that I wasn't around (this was a weekend, and again, no one bothered to call or email me to schedule something) to meet with the roofer I was told to "just call the customer".... If Mario's is this disorganized trying to provide an estimate and basic communication to a potential customer I can hardly imagine what actually scheduling the work would have been like. I literally created a Yelp account as a direct result of the very poor service, from start to finish, received by Mario's Roofing. The company's motto should read, "Some jobs ARE small enough". Upon receiving an estimate of just 800 bucks for a flashing replacement via email, the rep, Michael, was never heard from again. I called the number left on his business card, I called the management office and even left emails confirming my interest to move forward with the work to be completed. Weeks went by before the secretary provided Michael's cell phone. The absolute only reason I managed to get a hold of Michael was because I called from a different number than my cell! Michael apologized for being out of contact and sited such a busy schedule due to large scale roofing assignments. (*Insert Motto Here) Despite my annoyance and discomfort at this point, I went ahead a scheduled a date for him to pick up my 10% deposit as well as the signed contract for a Saturday morning 9am. Saturday morning rolls around.... then Saturday afternoon.....by 2pm I had called his personal cell 2x and left messages. Fast forward 3wks later, still no word from Michael, but the secretary, upon my request, left an angry note for the owner essentially asking to contact me. The owner did! We scheduled an appt for him to pick my deposit and the signed contract for a Saturday morning. True to his word, he did! Upon arrival he apologized and insinuated they ( Mario's Roofing) like jobs $1500 or more (*Insert Motto Here) and that what Michael was doing was pure laziness and irresponsible. I thought, "Who works for who?" After receiving my check and the signed contract, the owner got his car, fastened his seat belt, and said he would call soon to schedule a date to start the work. The owner also said he would take care of the work personally. 2wks go by, I call the secretary 4/27/19 and politely ask for the refunding of my deposit. She says she has to put through the request on Monday when the office is open. Monday morning (4/29/19) around 7:45am I receive a call from none other than Michael asking why I want a refund!........The end! As I can't attest to the work of the company, customer service goes a long way with me and if you can't get that portion of the sale right......Rome does not exist if Mario is handling the contract! read more

Lost some shingles in high winds last weekend. On referral from a friend who owns several properties, called Mario's Roofing, Siding & Windows on Monday morning. Asked if they could check on the roof integrity and, if compromised, make repairs ASAP because of big snow storm expected Tuesday. They came in the afternoon, found some issues and made the necessary repairs right away. We were new customers for them and I was quite impressed with their friendly professionalism, willingness to assist on such short notice, and reasonable cost for an unscheduled repair late in the day. Called for repair estimate and sales guy shows up. I know I am in trouble when the person shoes up with no ladder...anyhow, I explain my repair needs, he then says "we don't do repairs". This is although they clearly advertise they do repair work. Clearly they go around trying to see if they can sell a whole roof. I tell him this and he admits that is the case. As one last test, I ask him what it would take to replace a small part of my roof where I got quotes for $500. He tells me $2000, without looking at it. Clearly a rip off type of place. I requested a quote and he told me via text that he came and measured but he had to go back the next morning to finish. This was a lie ,he never showed up because I have camera's. We contacted Mario's (on the recommendation of friends) about 2 months ago for replacement windows. Tim came out later the next day and spent maybe 30 minutes here. He said he would send an estimate for 18 windows and 2 doors. Three weeks later, when we still hadn't heard from him, my husband called and "reminded" Tim about the estimate, which arrived the next day. It literally said 18k for 18 windows. It was not broken down and did not include doors. My husband called him back and Tim said he would send another estimate. Nothing. We then called a private contractor, who came out two days later, spent about 3 hours checking each window and door, and had an estimate that afternoon. My husband gave Tim another call with another chance to submit an estimate. Nothing. Turns out it was a blessing in disguise because the contractor was awesome! I too had Mario's install a new roof one month into COVID. They were responsive and got the job done in one day. I then called for replacement windows and doors on a porch and Tim said he would get me the estimate - was just waiting for prices on 2 doors. 3 weeks later you still don't have prices on doors? Weird. I then e-mailed Tim to say any luck? Radio silence. This is not a way to run a business by ignoring potential clients altogether. If you can't do the window and door replacement, don't bother coming out to give an estimate. I think Mario's should just stick with roofing - that seems to be their specialty. I think I figured out the quick response 1 month into COVID - they were not sure if people were going to spend money during a pandemic so they jumped at the chance to make money. From his detailed explanations of options to describing how the work would be done to the actual job being done, Mario's delivered more than promised. We contracted Mario's Roofing & Siding to strip and re shingle the south side of our condominium building. The building is a waterfront 4 story property with a severe slop and drop off on the south side so the challenge was going to be to stage the area for the crew to work off. Michael Legere from Mario came out to the site looked at the area to develop a proposal. The interesting part was they do not take field measurements they utilize a GPS satellite system to view the building on line to get critical measurements. Michael Legere submitted a proposal in record time, developed a contract with a schedule start date and duration. The crew showed up early everyday, worked a good 10-12 hr day, cleaned up at the end of each day, did not utilize a dumpster but a dump truck, etc. The crew was very professional, did an excellent job and wore appropriate safety gear. They recommended the cedar impression shingles by CertainTeed and azek trim board. We went with their recommendation and we are so glad we did. Mario's Staff and crew were easy to deal with and provided an excellent service. When Mario's crew left the site the area was cleaner than when they started. You wouldn't even known they were there until you look at our new siding. The owners and neighbors are very impressed with Mario and the product they utilized. We will definitely utilize Mario again for future residing projects. read more
