I waited a couple of years to post because I would have written 5 by now of all the things that went wrong. The install: not done in one day, not even close. They brought this huge sledge hammer to break the old tub apart and smashed through into my living room not once but 3 times! They cut the bathroom door to fit the new threshold in the new tub and he had to have it snaked because he plugged it. I had to replace the floor already because it kept lifting up. Never put a new subfloor. New shower has 4 corner shelfs which have all fallen off and I have to reattach. They are held on by 1" two sided tape and caulking. This is pretty cheap shit for the money and they are hacks! If this wasn't my only bathroom and I had the time I would rip it all out and do it myself with real tile. read more

A small company local to me, in business for 20 + years with lots of good ratings. My new shower was installed in the promised 1 day, AHEAD of schedule, by a team who took great care with the work they did. They covered all the carpeting and flooring to and from the upstairs bathroom and took great care for the surrounding area inside the house. When they left around 6 PM, I had a beautiful new walk-in shower, without a single trace that a demolition and reconstruction crew had been at work all day! And all at a very reasonable price. My bathroom was installed in June 2023 - I wanted to wait a year before writing a review. Installation of a tub and shower was great as promised it was completed in one day. The fixtures I chose look awesome. My 4 star rating is based on the efficiency of installation and how nice the bathroom looked upon completion. A year later I am experiencing "mold spots" in areas along the caulking. Reached out to seek advice and was sent instructions to remove the mold. We had two bathrooms remodeled in a more-than-century-old house. One was a tub-to-shower conversion and installation of a new vanity and sink. The other was a shower removal and replacement with a larger shower as well as new faucet hardware and drain on the existing sink. The tub-to-shower conversion was a complex job, requiring major demolition of tiled walls and flooring, moving part of an interior wall and reinsulating everywhere. Both jobs involved replacement of very old pipes with new, up-to-code plumbing as well as relocation of electric outlets. The company sent specialized workers (demolition and fabrication/installation teams, plumbers, electricians, tilers, carpenters) for each of the tasks. Throughout the process, the office staff were organized and pleasant. The initial demolition, replumbing and creation of the two new showers were done by exceptionally hard working and nice crews who completed this part of the project in two days. The finished products are beautiful! Unfortunately the vanity and sink installation involved a two-week delay, mostly due to the persnickety nature of our town's plumbing inspectors and their schedules and regulations. In the end, this work was done well and the result is very good although some repainting and minor carpentry repairs are needed after the fact. These renovations, while not as high-end as some others this company does were nonetheless quite expensive (over $30,000). However, I am pleased that they will allow us to age in place with safe, easy-entry showers and that the lovely appearance and up-to-date functionality of both bathrooms will boost the eventual resale value of the house. read more

I called all The Bath Ads I saw on TV and gave up. Then months later I saw Bay State Bath's ad and decided to call because we still wanted a Bath Conversion to a Walk in Shower. They sent a salesman Mike out to talk with us and he told us "most" are done in a day, not that it mattered. But we wanted it installed by gutting everything out, which others did not do. They did it in one day, I got a great price and tood advantage of their no interest payments for 12 months. It looks absolutely beautiful. And it was not that expensive to add on extra shelves, safety bars and a better hand held adjustable height shower head. I would recommended them to anyone contemplating a conversion and I have. What can I say. They did an incredible job. We elected to do a tub to shower conversion in our small bathroThe process, from beginning to end, was painless. The salesman was not pushy at all. Explained our options without overly trying to upsell. It took about six weeks, from the day we selected our shower, to install. This was what they told us it would be so it was expected. They do advertise installation "in just one day" but ours took just about two days. Personally, I am more than fine with that. I would rather a good quality final product than a quick job. The installers were fantastic, polite and friendly and kept us in the loop at every step. I was concerned about the window trim around the crank because I plan on replacing the window next year. No problem I was told, just give them a call and they will place a new bottom trim piece for me. This review is based on the purchase and installation of the product. First of all, if there was such a thing as half of a star that's what I would give Bay State Bath The owner of the company is very unprofessional and rude, and should not be running a company. They took advantage of me, being a middle-aged, widowed woman.(PRICE GOUGING).The designer came out and looked at the job that I wanted done, which was a total remodel of my bathroom. The gentleman came out twice and spent between two times a total of eight hours in my home it took about a week before I got a response from Baystate bath. Finally after months they came in to start the job. They gutted the bathroom and started framing it in. after they did, the framing they left for the day that's when I noticed that I was going to end up with the shower, the size of a postage stamp. I contacted the designer and told him that his design was not going to work he was very rude. He told me that's how it had to be with a lot of arguing and going back-and-forth with him and the owner (Jennifer Bylo) of Bay State Bath, they finally sent out the electrician who agreed with me that that design was not going to work. I called my son and he came over and met with the electrician and came up with a better design so basically my son had to tell Baystate bath how to design my bathroom, so now through all this, there is a major hold up on my bathroom. Baystate bath told me that this project would take about two weeks. They started at the end of September and did not get finished until two weeks before Christmas. Every day someone would come in to do their part on the project which consist of plumbers, electricians, painters, etc. after someone would leave at the end of the day I would go in and find something wrong that was done so they had to come back out again, and correct what they did wrong . The issue was communication all their workers, except for a few were all foreign. They barely understood English and did not speak English very well, so I had a very difficult time communicating with them. When the job was finally completed, the owner of Baystate Bath threatened to put a lien on my home for not responding to her for three weeks which I was on vacation when I came back from vacation I explained that to her, but she was not having it, so she continued to threaten me If anyone out there is considering having Baystate bath, do their bathroom find someone else a total thumbs down read more

I didn't think it would be possible to remove a cast iron bathtub and all that went with and install a new walk in shower. I was pleasantly surprised by 2 hard working talented young men who transformed out old tub into a beautiful walk in shower with all new plumbing. They worked around our existing tile floor and tied it all in beautifully. The people we worked with were always on top of things. They do everything the way they say they will. From the initial meeting with Kris about choosing the right time, tub, etc, and what to expect, things went smoothly. I really knew nothing at all about this process, so it was great to find Luxury Bath. I worked a few times with the owner, Jennifer, and she is very responsive, kind, and makes sure the right people do the job. And best of all, it really did take one day from demolition to plumbing, wood/tile cutting, and glass door installation. It was raining out and they even had a small tarp to put between the truck and my back door to protect everything. They did it...in just one day. I had an old and crusty claw foot tub with an afterthought shower. I needed a walk in shower. The job was fairly complicated involving removing the old cast iron tub, building a new wet wall, and modifying existing plumbing and drain. All without disturbing some very hard to replace wallpaper and tile floor. The Bay State team were aces from design to final project. Pricing was less than two other bids, and none of this buy it now pricing pressure. The original job was quoted for two days because of the requirement to build a new wet wall, but the team worked late to finish it all in one day...awesome! read more

Mike the salesman came to our home and went over the options measuring and doing a proposal based on our selections. Six weeks later as promised Claude with his team installed the shower surround and did an excellent job making sure I was very happy throughout the process. Charlie, one of the technicians, was also excellent as were Jennifer the owner, and Sarah and Kirsten in the office. My new tub surround and tub liner were installed by BAY STATE REBATH (subcontracted by HOME DEPOT) 2 days ago. We waited a full 36 hours to use the shower. The first time we used it, there was a HUGE leak in the basement--at least a gallon of water. I called the rebath franchise and asked to have it fixed immediately since the problem was clearly a result of the work they had done. They told me I was "unreasonable." She told me I had signed a waiver that I understood that in 20% of cases the drain stem broke and that I would just have to wait until her master plumber was free. I had already taken a full day off work so I could be there when the system was installed. Now I was expected to go without a shower while rebath tried to fit me into their schedule.The owner of the franchise and she was so incredibly rude I cried for an hour after my phone call. According to her, having her one plumber drop everything and attend to a mistake (that was supposedly in the old plumbing--not in the plumbing that rebath replaced--wait, didn't they say they'd replace all the plumbing so we could get the warranty? yeah) would endanger his life because he was working with open flames and solder etc. HUH? I pointed out that there were many many plumbers she could call if she really cared about customer service. Then she told me that the reason she only had one plumber available was that she had three people out sick and that they had GOTTEN SICK AT MY HOUSE!!!!!?????? My grandson was home sick that day but spent most of the day in the basement with me. We only have one bathroom, so he interrupted the installer a couple of times. No one else in the household is sick, and the people at her company who supposedly caught his stomach bug were NOT EVEN AT MY HOUSE! Don't they ever wash their hands? THEN, it turns out that the problem wasn't in the broken drain stem or in the old plumbing. It was due to a sloppy connection of the new water pipe to the tub hardware. The plumber who came out to fix it said he was going to fire the original plumber. Did the franchise owner call to apologize for screaming at me and calling me names? No. The bath is fixed now, but I would advise everyone to AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE. They are nice as pie until they make the sale, and then they become nasty and insulting. read more

We just had Bay State Re-bath come and do our main bathroom and could not be happier!!! When we first moved into our house years ago, we ended up going with glazing the tub and it literally started peeling after a week and it just got worse and worse. The entire process was seamless - every person I had contact with from the company was great - and it was so easy and quick the day of the actual install. They came on time, did not leave a mess and were great to work with throughout the day. The finished product looks amazing and people that have seen it cannot believe it is not real tiles!!! We contracted with them to replace an existing bathtub w/a walk in shower as well as replacing an outside window and wall/ceiling panels. This also included new plumbing. When replacing the window they discovered quite a bit of decaying wood due to water leakage. Instead of stopping the job while I had someone else fix the wall, they worked up a price quote so they could finish. I certainly wasn't prepared for the add'l charges, burt the work had to be done. Kudos to them for saying with the project to completion. The workers were professional, courteous & thorough. Result is taht we have a new shower unit as well as a repaired wall both inside and outside. We definitely would reccomend them to others. read more

We recently had Bay State Re-Bath do a remodeling of our upstairs bathroom.which had been an unattractive conversion by the previous owner from what was a 3.5x12 ft storage closet. To say that we are pleased with their work would be a gross understatement! They did a beautiful job which greatly exceeded my expectations! Both Tom, who did the plumbing work, and Roger, who did the bathroom renovations,were professional and courteous in every sense of the words, and went about their work immediately. Because they were unable to install a tub liner as originally planned Bay State Re-Bath instead put in a new tub at no additional cost to us! Throughout their work, they kept us updated on how things were going,and cleaned the area thoroughly upon completion. In addition, Roger, who comipleted the renovations in two days, worked on the second day from 8 AM until almost 9:30 in the evening!!! I can't recommend Bay Sate Re-Bath enough! I have told at least a dozen people about them personally and have invited several over to see the work they did first hand. We remodeled an upstairs full bath that was from the original construction approx 40+ years ago. This was not a quick fix, it was a full scale remodel, and the staff at Re-Bath was prompt, courteous, professional and performed like true craftsmen. This was not a tub liner - this was a full remodel including new custom vanity, new toilet, new tub and wall surround, new plumbing, relocating the shower head a bit higher for my tall son and a brand new subfloor and ceramic tile. Their crews are able to accommodate the simplest and the most challenging remodel with great care and detail. Jennifer is a sweetheart to deal with! We went to meet her at her showroom and she walked my wife through many color choices and combinations in order to make the decor decisions we needed to without pressure.
