Boba Zone is the place to go if you want someone to pronounce your name wrong and call out "Emmennel...?" as you angrily get your drink and plot a review on Yelp as revenge. Also, if you look menacing in any way, are covered with tattoos, or are black, be prepared for questionable stares. The location is a bit annoying, because it is placed smack dab in the middle of a parking lot that doesn't leave much space for parking or safe exit. Drivers aren't exactly intelligent around the area, so watch out when pulling out, or else you'll get into six fender benders while pulling out of your parking space. This is one of my top boba spots in Bellaire. I really like their Lavender Milk Tea with tapioca! The only thing that I do not like is the small size of the store and how it gets packed. The wait isn't too bad though but it's a good place to get tea. read more

Usually a fan of the drinks here, but was very disappointed with my recent visit. We ordered two peach teas that did not contain any of the peach syrup and they tasted like nothing but sweetened black tea. From a service side, the least that could be said is that you're out of the peach syrup or running low so that you don't end up with disappointed customers. My go to boba place. I took away one star because most of their smoothies are made with flavor nectar or powder. All of their drinks come in one size and ranges from $3.25-$4.25 depending if teas or smoothies. Each drink comes with a free topping which is great. They also have stamp cards which are buying 10 drinks get one free. Oh, and Tuesday is double stamp day. My favorite drinks here are: Thai Tea, Thai Green Tea, Royal Artichoke and Lychee Milk Tea. Great place for Vietnamese coffee. I got mine with 50% sugar and it was tasty and very strong. Not a huge fan of the Royal Artichoke. Bf thinks it quenches thirst but wasn't spectacular. Honestly, their milk teas and fruit drinks are just mediocre, but not too bad for the price! If you like milk tea, I'd suggest the royal milk tea, because it has a bold tea flavor with smooth, milky taste. I wish they had the sugar level option for 30% because 50% at their lowest is quite sweet. 0% is just pointless for my sweet tooth cravings. Their royal artichoke used to be good, but they started removing a few fruit items in it making the drink taste quite bland now. Their popcorn chicken is a bit dry, not moist like Teaholic's, but if you like your chicken tough and crispy, then this place is for you! Their smoothies are pretty tasty, though, I must say. The milk tea is the only thing I've tried but I've tried several flavors and while they are good.. They are really sweet. If you do order them you might want to ask for it less sweetened. And if you don't want ice they will charge you an extra dollar to fill it up to the top otherwise it will only be half full. This place offers bomb milk teas!!! I've tried almost all of them but my favorite ones are the mango milktea, the honeydew milktea, and the jasmine milk tea. You have the choice of adding regular sized boba or baby boba to your drinks, i usually skip out on boba just bc I feel the drinks are delish on their own. If youre wanting something more sweet and non-milky I would def suggest the slushie type drinks, the cherry flavored one is soo good...think sonic slush on crack lol. I also love the ham & cheese crossaints, the bread is sooo soft and its warm and super toasty. The fruit tart is yummy as well, tastes just like la madeleines. If you are a coffee enthusiast I highly suggest the blended coffee selection, it is the perfect mix of coffee/flavor/ice, and not extremely strong, still very sweet but not tooo sweet. Now if you are a coffee-lover and long time strong coffee drinker then you must try their "Long Coffee", it is super strong, the perfect amount of condensed milk but be warned it will keep you going and going and going so do not drink before bed time lol. Last time i drank it I think I had too much caffeine earlier that day and I was super jittery to the point my heart kinda hurt lol ( i drink a cup or two at least every single day btw and i dont mean frapps at starbucks, im talking cold brew or straight coffee no sugar , a little milk). read more

Boba Zone is promising, but ultimately not worth it. The location is a former Starbucks, so you know that the decor will be uninspired from the get-go. The drinks themselves are mediocre. I didn't see the power-packets, but I could sure taste it in the drinks. The customer service, as other reviews attest, is atrocious. I'm not expecting 5-star, Michelin service. But an attempt to accommodate the customer, even when the request is a simple one, would be nice. There were smokers outside on the patio area when I was there, so every time the door opened, smoke would waft in to the room. I'm not sure if that made the drinks less appetizing, but it sure didn't help the ambiance. I will be looking for other Boba spots in Houston. read more
