Back for another shot. They continue to sell almost everything under the sun, from tea to slushies, mangonadas, banh mi, pasta, Vietnamese and Taiwanese snacks?! And also HK style egg tarts, freshly imported from Eck Bakery, just 2 minutes down the street... at double the cost ($2.11 w/ tax!). I'm pretty sure the pate chaud are from Eck too, marked up 100%. I guess it's convenient and nice of them to toast it for you, but just know it's all about the $$ here. Milk tea here was better than I remember - not too ridiculously creamy or sweet, with just the tiniest bit of tea flavor. It's part creamer powder and part sweetened condensed milk, so there's also some caramel sweetness. Tapioca was fresh this time, cooked well and on the sweet side with a hint of honey. More of what I'd expect from a place as popular as this. Overall better than Kravin, but I would still go to Hangout/Viva/TEAholic for good milk tea. At $3.25 w/ tapioca included the value's good even though the amount of ice might be a bit extreme. Royal Artichoke tea ($3.25) - love this stuff now after trying it at Kravin Fruit Bar. Compared to Kravin, the artichoke tea here is a bit sweeter with added mixed jelly and longan. I thought Kravin's tasted less syrupy, but it's great here as well. Definitely one of the better drinks to get here that isn't just powder blended with syrup and ice. read more

Coffee, iced teas, slushes and other specialty drinks, Long does it all and does it at a very affordable price. We came here for an iced tea and a boba tea and paid no more than $7 for both drinks. A common favorite is the royal artichoke as it is my go to when I come here along with a couple of Cafe Sua Da's and the occasional boba tea. Being priced so well makes Long Coffee being a part of your daily routine that much more affordable. There is something for any day and for any mood. When you thought it couldn't get any better this place even has a drive thru for even more convenience and outdoor seating for days that you just wanna chill out/relax. Drive thru! I love it. This makes it easier to access great tasting boba. Since it is smack in the middle of bellaire you already know that the boba teas are going to be great. They have an extensive menu but my own preference is always thai tea! I ordered the thai tea and it was one of the best I ever tasted. The tapioca balls were the perfect consistency and the perfect taste. The tapioca balls usually make or break a boba tea for me because part of the enjoyment comes from the texture of the tapioca balls. If you are thinking about stopping definitely do so!!!! read more

The drinks are overly sweet if you don't specify your level of sweetness. I took two sips of my drink and threw it away. They have a very large variety, but some of them taste really odd. I think my sister had gotten a mint/something milk tea and it basically tasted like Christmas (not in a good way). If I ever come here again, I'll definitely specify my level of sweetness. I agree this is like a Asian version of Starbucks. You can get your typical coffees here but this place is so much more. The drinks compared to Starbucks is a 10:1 ratio. The fruit teas comes with fresh fruit and you add any chewy concoction you want. They also serve fried rice and different fried snacks but we didn't try it, so I can't really judge. The plus side of this place is that it is in a stand alone building with a drive thru so you don't have to fight for parking like at Hong Kong Market. Overall solid three stars. read more

I've only been here once so I'll update this again when I've been there more often but I loved that this place had a drive through! I ordered the mango tea with 50% sweetness with boba. The boba had great consistency and was sweet and even 50% was plenty sweet. The tea also had chunks of mango in it which was nice. They changed the restroom where it is unisex (boy or girl can both use it at a time). I do not like that at all because it's not as clean as it was before... Super crowded to the point where there is not enough walking room or designated area to wait. You're constantly having to move and shift around so that people can walk by cause you feel like you're in the way because there are way too many tables. The rating is more of a 3.8. It'd be an easy 4 or 5 if not for their boba and milk teas. Drinks (3/5). It's a shame because their Royal Artichoke Tea is killer. However, their tea-to-milk (or cream) ratio is off. Lacks tea and thus too much dairy. Oolong teas are known and loved for the distinctive aroma and taste; Boba Zone lacks both completely in their Oolong milk tea. Same could be said for any of their milk teas, which is odd because when they were located at their old store (currently now Hang Out), I remembered them for their milk teas. Maybe now they're skimping and trying to reduce costs? Anyway, great menu. Smoothies, coffee, flavored teas, and decent food. Service (5/5). No complaints here. They're fast with their orders and are polite. Obviously the drive thru is genius; probably go here more often than any other place just because I don't need to leave my car for a drink. Ive tried the royal artichoke, Thai green milk tea, and cafe sua da and they were all top notch. The royal artichoke is the best artichoke drink I've ever tried because the artichoke taste is strong & distinct even amongst the other ingredients in the drink. The Thai green milk tea is a jasmine green tea- I've never liked the taste of jasmine tea but I love this drink because it's so smooth, light, and refreshing. The cafe sua da is strong and creamy, just how it's supposed to be. The drive-thru is usually busy but it's so convenient and worth the wait. read more

I always go here for my special artichoke drink. It's my fav. But just recently they r serving mangonada aka spicy mango. It is ok. Not your authentic Mexican mangonada. This is my usual go to boba spot in Houston but this is the first time I'm very disappointed. My friend usually orders a customized drink, avocado honeydew smoothie. When I ordered through drive thru the cashier seemed she was confused on the order and put me on hold. For some odd reason they can no longer make the drink. On the menu they both have avocado AND honeydew smoothies but they can't mix it together. I offered that I can pay more if I ordered an avocado smoothie and add like 2 honeydew pieces just for the flavor, but they said no. This took maybe 10-15 mins of going back and forth with each other. So I stopped arguing and just went with a plain avocado smoothie but with no dairy. The cashier seemed confused again when I asked for no dairy. She didn't think it was possible for the mixture of ice, water, and avocado to actually mix. Then she asked if it was okay to add condensed milk... I responded to her that condensed milk has dairy in it. The typical avocado smoothie there would have the avocado, condensed milk, and ice cream. I asked them no dairy and to replace it with non-dairy creamer. I was put in hold again because she had to ask someone if that was okay. She charged me extra for replacing the ice cream & condensed milk for non-dairy creamer. This drink did not have any boba and came out to almost $5. I do not think they know how to handle a situation for those who are lactose. Charging someone extra for using non-dairy creamer instead of ice cream & condensed milk isn't right. Also, the drink didn't have any sugar like I asked. They need to step up their game! I used to work at a boba tea shop for 2 1/2 years and I promise you that drink is not hard to make. read more

Their drinks are quite good, first time getting a spicy mango drink anywhere but it's delicious, the flavor is at sounds. I also got a artichoke drink and that one was good as well. It comes with grass jelly and basil seeds. All drinks can be added with your choice of toppings that include jellies and "pops". Review for my most recent visit. I used to love Boba Zone back when it was located in the back of the Kim Son plaza. I ordered a Thai green tea and asked for extra sea foam since I like my tea pretty milky. We waited for over 15 mins (no exaggeration) in drive thru to get our drinks. When I got my drink, the drink was horrible! Super bland and the extra sea foam I asked for, wasn't there. I told the owner about it and his response really upset me. He said, "I know the recipe". Like ugh... I don't care. I want more sea foam... like how some people want extra sugar or no milk etc. I'll pay for it so what's the big deal? Asked for less ice and half the cup in all the drinks were filled with ice. This place went downhill. It's like they stopped caring about their customers, especially the ones that supported them for years. read more

We visit Boba Zone at least every other day when we're in the area. I just enjoy the large selection of drinks and add in's. My children enjoy the flavored milk teas and smoothies while my husband & I are a little more adventurous. The green apple, strawberry, fruit tea, coconut & blended vanilla latte are just a few that I know we've ordered that were tasty. :-) We've enjoyed everything we've ordered from Boba Zone. Their popcorn chicken is delicious, make sure to order it spicy or extra spicy! ** Ask for a punch card! They seem to not tell you that they offer a punch card and I noticed after seeing another person order with one. My favorite place for refreshing drinks and boba. Besides boba, I thoroughly enjoy their other drinks like the coffee fraps, Smashed Avocado and Royal Artichoke drinks. Those seems to be my go to drinks. My friends all like the Royal Milk Tea. You can tell they keep their quality standard high. If you don't like it sweet, ask for level 2/3 for less sweetness. After how many visits here I finally got the popcorn chicken and it's pretty good! The generous serving could easily feed 2 people. It comes in a paper bag and can be served non-spicy, spicy (one level), or spicy on the side in a little to go container. The chicken also comes with a container of sweet chili sauce. My only complaint is that our fried basil leaves fell to the bottom of the bag making them soggy, but that's probably my own fault since I didn't eat the chicken immediately. read more

For years my family and I have been coming to long coffee, and a lot of times we would even drive from Dallas to Houston to buy 20+ cups of artichoke drinks to bring back home, this time around we ordered 23 cups and they were all sour. We then moved forward onto contacting long coffee and it took them 2-3 days to get back to us and after getting back in contact with us they said they won't be giving us a refund but they will give us 50% off the next time we come, we spent $100 worth of drinks and they were all sour yet they didn't want to refund us, and after keeping in contact for awhile because they needed to "talk to management" they blocked my number and never answered ever again. For this reason I wouldn't even give them 1 star if I could, management is super ridiculous and will not do anything they can to keep a good relationship with their regulars, I will not be coming back. And I recommend whoever that gets their drinks to be very wary and always check if it's good or not because all 23 of my drinks were completely sour and had stuff floating around inside of them. And if you don't check I doubt they'll give you the money you deserve back. read more

This place was packed when I went for the first time. The drink I got was chocolate milk tea with boba. If you are a chocolate lover, it is pretty good here. Legitimately taste just like chocolate milk with a hint of tea. I also tried the watermelon juice drink and it is such a refreshing drink. I ended up here accidentally! I was on my way home and wanted some Starbucks but I knew they were closed. I saw this place opened and bought a Vanilla latte. OMG!!! It was delicious, smooth and amazing!!! Next thing to Minutti cafe! I drank it so fast. They only carry one size which looks small to me. I wish they had a large size!!!! I am in love with this coffee! The coffee at Starbucks has a bitter taste. Long coffee tastes good with every drop! I went back and ordered ahead. This time I ordered a few items. I tried the iced coffee (I didn't like it as much). I tried the calamari they were dry and unflavored. I tried the combo rice and it was also bland! The croissant was warmed up but it was mushy!
