Another amazing job by Nick of Long Beach Locksmith. This morning the lock to our front door was turning and not stopping. Then the entire lock came out. I had work done by Nick in the past, so I reached out. Nick was able to come and replace the entire insides of the lock, as well as key two other locks for our home. He also gave me the lock/key code for the future (just in case), plus he recommended a lock spray to use for the locks in our home. For the entire effort and home visit, it was extremely reasonable to complete all the tasks in a very timely and professional manner. Nick was incredible! I requested a quote for a lock repair on Yelp and he got back to me right away. He happened to be in the area (East Long Beach), so he was at our place within five minutes. He was super thorough in fixing the problem, and went above and beyond in cleaning out the lock and making sure everything worked smoothly. While he was working, we chatted and he was personable and even explained some of his craft, which is always appreciated. I did try to fix the problem myself, but once I watched him work I was glad I paid a professional to do it right. Put the cam in the wrong position when he installed So what he told me is it needs a key to unlock - I thought it was strange but I let it go , figured I don't know everything I came back from a 3 day trip , pressed the name on the lock to illuminate the key pad and without a code It clicked and I was able to unlock it by knob only!!! So I googled it and found out it's common if the cam isn't put in right position on installation- took it apart , reinstalled it Works perfectly!! After the front doorknob on my senior mom's front door fell off (it'd been loose for awhile), and after I took it apart trying to "fix" it, I reached out to Nick - late on a Sunday afternoon, btw. Not only did Nick immediately answer the phone, he said he was nearby and would be by in only 10 mins to take a look - at no cost to her if he wasn't able to fix it. Not only did he show up exactly when he said he would (which, let's be honest, is nearly never these days for so many service providers), he was friendly, very cordial, pretty funny, and thankfully, very skilled at his craft. My mom also immediately felt at ease with him, which can be difficult for seniors sometimes. Despite my "assistance in preparing the entire locking mechanism" for Nick, he immediately got to work, and had it put back together - and working properly - in short order. He even had to McGuyver a bit of it because it was quite old and wasn't exactly cooperating. But he got it, and all was good again, and mom was quite pleased... and relieved. Not only was her home fully secured again (in less than 2 hrs from the time it fell apart, to the time Nick fixed it right up), but he did it for an extraordinarily reasonable price on a Sunday callout.
