Inner workings of my 5yr old Baldwin door knob prevented us from going out to our garage. Really? Only 5yrs old? Expected more this popular brand. Luckily Gene was able to help us out. Arrived quickly. We've ask him for assistance a couple times prior. It's always been easy, efficient & fairly priced. Wouldn't call anyone else. Seems to run in the family since I believe his brother also does locksmithing. read more

Had Gene come out and rekey a new Schlage knob and deadbolt combo to match other locks around house. Good guy. Straight-forward. Honest. Did a good job. Also had him look at an existing lock which worked fine with well-used (slightly worn) keys but didn't like a spare key which hadn't seen much use. He tweaked the lock so it works reliably with both the well-used and little-used keys. read more

This is an update/edit to my prior post/review. Gene was a nice person - and a solid communicator. Although the project we attempted to complete together did not go as either of us intended, in the end, he showed strong character as a small business operator and reached back out in light of the less than optimal circumstances. I was definitely NOT seeking the remedy he provided (he went above and beyond), and have to give him credit for standing by his work and operating a business with integrity. Great job, Gene! read more

Needed locks rekeyed in a rental property. We were given 4 different keys when we moved in and did not want to manage having 4 different keys to lock/unlock various doors in a small home. Gene was very efficient, knowledgeable, and kind. He explained a few things about the doors and locking mechanisms being utilized. His price is very fair and he was able to help with very short notice. Chatted about USC Trojans football and The Francis Ford Coppola Winery. Highly recommend this A++++ locksmith!!! read more

I explained my problem and he was clearly not interested. He basically tried to talk me out of using him. He succeeded. I wound up doing the job myself. Which is what I find I have to do more and more because nobody wants to take small jobs. This would've been a 15 minute job at most for him and I was happy to pay. A lot of small businesses are just leaving money on the table now. It seems like nobody wants to do small jobs anymore. read more
