Rene responded quickly to my messages but then we exchanged cell numbers and started talking more there. He installed a professional grade lever door handle at one of my apartments because I wanted to keep out a former employee. He explained and showed me that it will be very difficult to remove this lever for someone that isn't familiar with it. Sure enough, the next night, I saw that the lever was tampered with because the former employee tried to remove or rekey it but was unsuccessful. He went out out his way to get parts to complete the job that morning. He even canceled his next appointment to accommodate my need. He goes above and beyond to get the job done right and delivers great quality. I hired him to replace the door knobs, door arms, locks, etc. at two of my other properties and he did an amazing job. To my surprise, I found out that he gave me a DO NOT DUPLICATE key which was perfect so the tenant can't make a duplicate for the former employee. When we picked up this cabinet, there were no keys, years later I'm using the cabinet for business and I'm required to lock up documents. Found Long Beach City Locksmiths on a Yelp search, requested a quote, liked the fair price, set up an appointment, and sent pictures of the cabinet lock. The day of my appointment, the locksmith came to my home, prepared to test keys on the lock, however my photos made lock appear bigger, so he took the cabinet lock to his shop, and informed me that he will come by the next day to complete the job. I was looking to get a key copied and I really hate going to the Big Box stores. At the Big Box stores, the copies rarely work and you have to go back and forth to get it right. THIS. PLACE. IS. AWESOME. When I purchased my used car I didn't realize it only came with one working key fob. So I did a bunch of research online to find a replacement, but every other locksmith in the South Bay was charging $200+ just to program the remote and another $75+ to cut the spare key. Not to mention the $500+ it would have cost me if I went to the dealer. For the super reasonable price of $150, Rene and his family team not only programmed the remote and cut the spare key, they fixed the broken mechanical back up lock in my driver's side door, which would be critical to opening the door if the remote ever failed.
