Please call him first! Mr. Lopez was amazing, called him at 5:32pm, he arrive within 35 minutes to our long beach condo. Changes locks, replace our old weaker keys with a stronger keys. No more bending those keys now! Also, door frame has issues, so he fix! It is a lot easier to lock the bottom lock now. Price was super reasonable. His price was 20% less than other companies. He also waiting for me to get home from Alhambra to hand me my new keys. Explain everything he did, and let me try locking them myself! If he is in the area, you will be in good hands with his service! I got lucky! He also gives me 2 keys free. Great communication, super friendly. Thank you so kindly, happy new year! read more

Rene responded quickly to my messages but then we exchanged cell numbers and started talking more there. He installed a professional grade lever door handle at one of my apartments because I wanted to keep out a former employee. He explained and showed me that it will be very difficult to remove this lever for someone that isn't familiar with it. Sure enough, the next night, I saw that the lever was tampered with because the former employee tried to remove or rekey it but was unsuccessful. He went out out his way to get parts to complete the job that morning. He even canceled his next appointment to accommodate my need. He goes above and beyond to get the job done right and delivers great quality. I hired him to replace the door knobs, door arms, locks, etc. at two of my other properties and he did an amazing job. To my surprise, I found out that he gave me a DO NOT DUPLICATE key which was perfect so the tenant can't make a duplicate for the former employee. I HIGHLY recommend him and he has my business for life! read more

Looks like this was taken over by the son. I had him cut two keys for me and both do not function properly. He informed me that he would check with someone and call me in a day or so to fix it. He never called or returned my call/ text. So, I'm stuck with two keys that don't work right. Went from a 5 star to a 1 star. read more

When we picked up this cabinet, there were no keys, years later I'm using the cabinet for business and I'm required to lock up documents. Found Long Beach City Locksmiths on a Yelp search, requested a quote, liked the fair price, set up an appointment, and sent pictures of the cabinet lock. The day of my appointment, the locksmith came to my home, prepared to test keys on the lock, however my photos made lock appear bigger, so he took the cabinet lock to his shop, and informed me that he will come by the next day to complete the job. The next day, the locksmith showed up, reinstalled the cabinet lock, and provided the new cabinet keys. The keys worked perfectly, I'm able to lock the cabinet. Quick service, great price. read more

10/10 would recommend. Rene was fast, on time, honest and fair. Offered a quote over the phone. Helped me find the most affordable way to get in to my house and cut new keys. Thank you Rene!! read more

Other locksmiths quotes were ridicules to have my key fob programmed and cut to size. LBC locksmith's is very affordable and response in a timely manner. I highly recommend to call this business first for all you lock needs. read more

From the minute I messaged them about pricing for a new remote they were so responsive. They were able to get me a new remote and Rene even fixed my old spare remote that had gotten wet years ago and stopped working. When the new remote they ordered stopped working they immediately got me another one and Rene came to my job to program it so I wouldn't be inconvenienced. All within a reasonable price. Highly recommend. read more

Rene was great! He was communicative, fast, and charged the best price I could find in Long Beach. I especially appreciated his flexibility and patience as I was running 10 minutes late and he waited for me to get home! If you're in LB or the surrounding areas, call Rene. Nice, hard-working, and reliable. Thanks Rene! read more

I was looking to get a key copied and I really hate going to the Big Box stores. At the Big Box stores, the copies rarely work and you have to go back and forth to get it right. Plus, they charge way too much to get a key copied. Here comes LBCL to the rescue. They have mobile service and they also have a store front (currently being remodeled). Whether you're looking to get keys copied or you need to have a cylinder rekeyed, they will get you fixed up in a jiffy. Be sure to make LBCL your locksmith. You'll be glad that you did. read more

5 stars because even though they didn't have the correct equipment to make a key for my car, they took the time to provide a referral to another locksmith who will be able to help. read more

Had a problem this whole year leaving my car keys in my own car by accident. Decided to check this business out and see if they were open during COVID and sure enough, I got a response. I only needed a car to open the door and I might just get another spare key here eventually since I found this business to be fast, efficient, and local. I want to thank Rene in helping me in a time where everyone has some sort of emergency. read more

Rene is awesome! Quick response time (he was at my home within 20 minutes), communicative, and effective! If I ever lock myself out of my house again (hopefully I don't ), I'm calling Rene! read more

Excellent service and at excellent price. This guy offered the best price around. Only $30 bucks to re-key the lock on my 2016 Tacoma tailgate when other locksmiths quoted outrageous prices. Don's Lock and Key quoted $120 bucks. The Car Key Shop quoted $125 bucks. Again, LBC Locksmith only charged me $30 bucks!!! An additional 5 bucks to make some duplicate keys too! So only $40 bucks total!! The service was great too! My key fit the lock cylinder just like it would out of the factory. He seems to work out of his van. Don't let that discourage you. He's mobile that way, or you can come to him. His work is top notch at the best price in the Long Beach area! read more

Called Long Beach City Locksmiths for replacement of a lost car key. They quoted a very competitive price over the phone (were even able to add on key fob replacement for just $30 extra, which is a fraction of what most places and dealers charge). They arrived within a couple hours and worked diligently to get the job done within a little over an hour. An easy 5 stars for responsiveness, speed and quality of service, and value. read more

Alfredo was professional, polite, and very nice. The fee was reasonable. I'd recommend this business.

These guys are fantastic! They had more flexible hours than another place I called, and that helped me schedule a large lock re-key when I could be there. They were stuck on a previous job that unexpectedly ran over, so were going to be late, and René called and let me know. My job was done in less time than expected. Fantastic work, will call them again for another job I will have, and I highly recommend! read more

I needed help with replacing two cylinders on a vintage travel trailer. It came with no keys. I went down the list of "top Yelp" locksmiths and LB City Locksmiths were the only ones to follow through on coming out to the job. Most of the other locksmiths wouldn't even try to do the job. Rene Jr was great and taking down all the necessary information and providing a realistic quote. Rene Sr came out and did the work. He was on time, expedient and did a great job. I will definitely use these guys again if I have any other lock issues. Can't recommend enough. read more

This locksmith is awesome! His response time was super fast and his pricing was more competitive than any of the other locksmiths that responded to my requests. It literally took him 1 to 2 minutes to pick the lock. I had inadvertently locked myself out of my bedroom; and after fussing at myself, a moment of clarity came to me to call a locksmith. Nonetheless, the locksmith quickly responded to my request, and he was very positive, professional, and affordable. read more

5/5 customer service. As shared in most of my reviews, the level or quality of customer service matters to me. I had several questions and conversation for these Guys. They responded without attitude or as if I was too much. I appreciate this and I will recommend their service to other people as opportunity presents. 5/5 same day service although I was not in a crisis 5/5 locks and keys are working very well so far. rekey was route of my choice. read more

René was really helpful! The plastic for my Honda's fob broke. Another shop quoted me a crazy price to copy and reprogram the fob. I originally wanted to just gave it copied to save money, but René offered a much more reasonable price. read more

Very satisfied with the quality of work done along with reasonable pricing from this business. Rene is the owner who is excellent at responding to customers promptly and showing up on time for the job. I needed two keys made for two different locks and the job was done fairly quickly. THIS. PLACE. IS. AWESOME. When I purchased my used car I didn't realize it only came with one working key fob. So I did a bunch of research online to find a replacement, but every other locksmith in the South Bay was charging $200+ just to program the remote and another $75+ to cut the spare key. Not to mention the $500+ it would have cost me if I went to the dealer. For the super reasonable price of $150, Rene and his family team not only programmed the remote and cut the spare key, they fixed the broken mechanical back up lock in my driver's side door, which would be critical to opening the door if the remote ever failed. These guys are fantastic! Whenever I need a locksmith in the future I'll be coming back here. Thanks guys! read more

I was so impressed that I called at 7:30am this morning and had my door locks replaced before 11:30am the same day. The price quoted was much lower then I expected and the team were both professional on the phone and at my home visit. Thanks again guys! read more

Hardworking family business. No slacking, just results. I contacted the locksmith, and he gave me a competitive price. I didn't show up for the appointment once, because I was too late; but, he still remained very nice and professional. The second time I worked with his schedule since I cancelled on him the first time. My eBay transponder key was defective, but he sold me one at a good price. He programmed the key, and got it working. Thank you much! Also, they are humble people (father and son). read more

We had Nick do a house call to help us rekey all the locks in our new home, and install new knobs for our front door. We lost the garage door opener. We were in no rush to get the garage open but Long Beach City Locksmiths we're super responsive and arrived within a couple hours of our quote. Outstanding customer service, great communication, super fast turnaround, unbeatable price. . . overall just WONDERFUL! Just bought a house and requested quotes from 10 different locksmith companies to rekey the existing locks and LBC Locksmiths had the best rate overall by a pretty wide margin. I also sent them numerous questions via Yelp message and they responded quickly each time. After receiving the keys to my house yesterday afternoon, I immediately asked them to come and change the locks and Alfredo showed up within an hour. Alfredo was very professional and super nice; and even fixed the bottom screw to the door latch that was installed incorrectly, free of charge! They have made a lifelong customer out of me and highly recommend their services to everyone. Thanks again! read more

Forgot to leave a review right after they came out. Oops! I had a locksmith from another company scheduled to come out and rekey my whole house, about a week ahead of time. They didn't call or show up. I scrambled to find another locksmith to come out. These guys are AMAZING!!! They were accommodating, came out the same day, which I was NOT expecting, and were done quickly. Their fees are completely reasonable (cheaper than the guy who was originally going to do it). I will definitely be using them again when I need a locksmith. Be careful, there is another company with almost the exact same name as their website addy. Make sure you get Rene's company read more

I had a new door custom built for me with a VERY expensive Emtek lock. The carpenter could not get the lock bolt to work. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who has a lock or key related problem. read more

Unless you've got the technical and mechanical know-how to fix the things that break in your home, knowing who to call when you need something done without paying an arm and a leg is priceless. We called Long Beach City Locksmiths hoping they could cut us a key for our electronic keypad (we didn't have any of the original keys). An appointment was made for 10 a.m. the next day, they called thirty minutes before arrival to ensure we were home. Rene showed up within minutes, removed our lock, took it down to his van and cut us two keys within 10 minutes. He noticed we were having latching problems with the door and took it upon himself to fix those issues that have plagued us for the last few months, without us asking! Rene was super polite, extremely professional and most of all: competent. Please give these guys a call should you ever need a locksmith. read more

During the weekend I lost my car key (no spare) & had to call around to get quotes for another to be made. I was on the verge to give up until I came across LBC Locksmiths. I reached out to several different locksmith companies and they were trying to charge me an arm and a leg for ONE key. The prices quoted was unbelievable. My tech was Rene. He responded in a timely manner to my message via Yelp. Asked all the appropriate questions & gave me a firm affordable price. I set an appt with him for a later time as I didn't get off work until after 5pm. It was still a flat rate with no hidden charges. Another locksmith was trying to charge me more just for being outside of the 9am-4pm timeframe. Rene came within minutes after letting him know I was home. He already had the key made. He started the car and voilà, I was instantly a happy customer! He was a very collective reserved gentleman & service was fast. Thanks Rene! You were great! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! FYI - I will be using LBC Locksmith again for my '86 Caprice. We lost the keys for that too lol smh! Price? Very very very affordable compared to what others quoted me for an older car. My grandma was locked out of her house in Carson so I did some research and found this locksmith. Based on researching the reviews I decided to call them first, but they did not pick up so I tried the 310 number on the website and someone answered. I am glad I called the second number because even though there were no technicians available the guy on the phone headed over to my grandmas house right away when he heard it was an emergency/lock-out. Not only was he fast, cool and helpful... my grandma was having trouble with a deadbolt and rather than charging her to replace it like she originally wanted he got it fixed up her. Definitely recommended if you need a locksmith in the Long Beach area, this company comes through. read more

Great job. Fair price, super quick and efficient. Wonderful staff! Would definitely recommend to anyone

Searched for the most competitive pricing around my area and found Long Beach City Locksmiths to be my choice. The job was to get 5 locks rekeyed. I called up Rene and he basically came, saw, and conquered all my locks. Nothing fancy schmancy, just a simple process that took him about 30 mins. He wrote me up and was on his way to the next appointment. The one gripe I had was that he called me 10 minutes after our appointment time to say he was on his way. I almost thought I was on a date since I usually hear this from girls, and I know 10 mins means she just got out of the shower. But Rene came within 15 mins! Bottom line - Competitive pricing, good service, and quality locks. I'd do business again. read more

I locked myself out of my garage this morning and desperately needed a locksmith to come out asap so I could get to work. I found Long Beach City Locksmiths via yelp and, due to their high rating, I gave them a call. While the price was a little high ($85), they were able to send out a locksmith immediately. I didn't even have time to finish my coffee which I had made in anticipation of a longer wait. The locksmith was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. He was able to get me into my garage in less than 5 minutes with no damage done to the doorknob or lock. Highly recommend. read more
